I grew up playing Mahjong. Also Pan. But I think I learned what cracks, bams, winds, etc were along with my ABCs. It was intense in my house- my mother had these groups, two, I think. I love the game. I also play canasta, backgammon, and rummy. I learned when I was a teenager, playing with the family. I also learned how to play spades from some former neighbors who would get together several nights a week, all of whom were senior citizens. I was at least 30 years younger then most of them.
