Digger’s Road Trip
As Jeannie mentioned, she and Zoey took Digger (from Cross My Heart) on a road trip. She was kind enough to send me pictures and I just had to share with you!

Can you find him in each picture?
Obviously I’m still in deep deadline, so thank you Jeannie and Zoey for providing today’s blog and entertainment.
I wish I was somewhere in Paradise right now. Anyplace hot with a beach.
Where do you wish you were at this very moment?

REMINDER: We’re asking YOU to help the Plotmonkeys give a happy holiday to some lonely American soldiers!
From now until December 7, the Plotmonkeys–Janelle Denison, Leslie Kelly, Julie Elizabeth Leto and Carly Phillips–are sponsoring a special contest. Just donate to a charity sending care packages to our troops overseas, and you’re eligible to win a $100 gift card to do your own holiday shopping!
All the details can be found here: THE SEASON FOR GIVING

Looks like Digger is having a good ole time. Lucky dog *g*
Me? I wish I were somewhere, anywhere warm! A beach in the Carribbean, or Hawaii, or anywhere where snow was a mystery. Even a hot cup of flavored tea won’t help keep the chill away :wreath:

Hello Carly,
Digger is so cute. Seems like granny in the second picture is taking good care of him. Thanks, Jeannie and Zoey.
Right now, I’d wish I were … swimming in the sea with the warm sun shining down on me. And afterwards sitting on the beach with a great read would appeal to me.
Another alternative would be sitting in a warm room, drinking hot chocolate without any disturbing family members. Just me and a book.
That would work for me as well. I’m so easily to satisfy. I’m even offering two possibilites. LOL
If Santa could make those wishes true …:stocking:
Unfortunately, these are too big for any stocking.
So take a time out and enjoy the silence that is NORMALLY provided by this time of year. We seem to have no such luck.
Carly, even if you’re on deadline don’t overdo. You definitely deserve some rest.

See you
Vero

Good Morning All.
On the beach soaking up some warm rays sounds good right about now. Add a great book and no interruptions from hubby, who always seems to be chatty only after I start to read, and it would be heavenly. We are having 40mph winds this morning, so the wind chill is down to 18 at the moment. Aw yes, the beach would be nice right about now.
Take Care all and Have a good day!!!!!!!!!!!
last week when it was on, can watch tonight. It is on at 8pm on CBS tonight.
:elf:
By the way, anyone who missed

Jeannie - those pictures are precious! You’re so fun.
Go Carly and Leslie (who I’m assuming is still in deadline hell also)!
As for where I’d like to be…a beach, always! But really, anywhere that I could be left alone for about 4 hours!
Comment by Jodie — December 3, 2007 @ 9:13 am
I don’t care if it is warm, but I want to be somewhere out of NY!! A big mall, with the credit card, would be good.
I quit my job. I gave them my 2 weeks notice last Friday, effective the 14th. That was my Xmas present to myself.
Love my job and the bookstore. But I want to work in a team environment, not one with an overseer.

I would love to be at the beach right now with several books from my TBR pile. Just soaking up some sun and reading without interruptions from anyone.

I have a sinus infection and a deadline, so I wish I was in the future when both were over and done with!!!
Comment by Julie Leto — December 3, 2007 @ 9:33 am
Digger is so cute! What a great trip he looks like he had! Yay Jeannie and Zoey!
I’d love to be back in bed with no need to get up for a couple days…
Comment by Fedora — December 3, 2007 @ 11:06 am
It looks like Digger had a great time! I was hoping to see Zoey in those pictures, too, but I’m guessing she wouldn’t sit long enough for them! :giggle:

Don and I have brought little miss zoom zoom (Zoey) to Maine for some R&R. We started the year off with some snow on April 5th and are ending our 2007 Maine time with more, yup you guessed it, S N O W.
Zoey is doing fine never licked her incision like Baily did (thank heavens)
We return home and to work on Wednesday and then no days off til after
Christmas.
Carly, I’m glad you liked thw pics we had fun taking them.
Julie, I hope the future comes faster than expected.
Fedora, I have been doing the bed thing for 2 days. Reading and knitting
and keeping Zoey company. It is so over rated.
Vero this is me!
Another alternative would be sitting in a warm room, drinking hot chocolate without any disturbing family members. Just me and a book.
Jodie, Stacey and Fedora and everyone, We just hope we make you smile.
Ev, Congrats I hope. Life is difficult in retail these days. Money is tight,
holidays so close and peoples attitude could use some improving.
I have found we always have a boss though.
I hope 2008 brings you a good one. Big
Well my bossy yorkie whines so I have to go.
We are expecting about 18nches here. Did someone say beach?

Good morning all. It looks like Digger is having a rockin’ good time.
I’d like to be hanging out with Brenda up in Canada talking about my book and how to make it work.
Otherwise, I LOVE being at home.
Have a great day,
Cher

Hey plotmonkeys,
seems like you all are in deadline hell at the moment. Poor you.
Janelle, you’re the only one who isn’t, I guess. As for Julie, take care of that infection. Double poor you. Deadline and sinus infection. Sounds like a awful combination to me. But I’m sure you’ll be back to your old self soon.
Right now,we’re having disgusting winds here. Rain and wind together is even worse. And it looks like it’s starting to rain soon…
I really have to wrap myself up before leaving the house. Otherwise I could end up having to stay in bed. And that definitely is the LAST thing I want right now. Because then Christmas shopping would have to wait …
And the bad thing is: I’m still there where I was last week. That doesn’t mean having few presents, it means having almost none. But I’ll catch up! You’ll see.
So I’m out of here.
See you
Vero

Thanks for all the healthy wishes…and as for the deadline, you can watch my progress and Carly’s over on the sidebar…don’t know if anyone noticed that we’re keeping track. It’s a motivational tool! Leslie will be done soon, I just know she will be!
I’m doing the antibiotics, vitamins, chicken soup combination, but what I really want is sleep. My daughter is sick too and we were both up last night from about 2:30am until 4:30 coughing and such. Of course, once I got her to sleep, I couldn’t sleep and stayed up another hour reading. I should have been writing!!!
Comment by Julie Leto — December 3, 2007 @ 11:57 am
Cute pictures, Jeannine…..I am sick, too (I have been since Thursday, but SLOWLY getting better). I was supposed to go to my middle guys’ school, but I don’t want to infect them. Well, I am off to have a clammy moment….

Great pix!
We got some snow/ice/rain mix last night so it made for a fun (not) commute this morning. Wish I were on a beach somewhere right now with a good book and a drink with a little umbrella in it (oh, and a gorgeous hunk to turn the pages would be nice).

Carly good luck with the deadline, I know deadlines are stressfull for you, but I love them because it means we get a new book soon
Hope Julie and everyone who is under the weather are feeling better soon

Don’t wish to be anywhere but here, right now, I love Christmas in NY, just wish I was done shopping

I’m happy right where I am. There’s a pot of home made soup on the stove. It’s snowing outside and my editor said “Yes” to my new manuscript. Yippee!

What a fun trip you all had!!!! Looks like Digger really enjoyed it too! I know if I show my daughter these pictures what will happen next time we go on vacation.
Comment by Laura J — December 3, 2007 @ 2:35 pm
Thanks for sharing your pictures Jeannie! Carly, I hope you’re getting lots done! You too, Julie. And hopefully you and your daughter are feeling better quick! Yay Darlene!
Congrats!
I’d love to be on a beach in a warm, tropical spot right now, too!

:santahat: Jeannie, thanks for sharing those pictures.
If I could be anywhere it would be traveling to somewhere on my long list of places to see! We are having a cloudy, might rain, a little breezy, cool day! A big fire and no worries, just reading a good book would be very nice. :stocking:
Julie, sorry to hear you and your daughter are not feeling well. Get better soon. Carly & Julie good luck with your deadlines.
I’m reading another book in the Wilde series. Love these stories Janelle! Over the weekend I read The Wilde One in the book Bad Boys To Go. :candycane:
Someone mentioned they would like a hunk to turn pages for them- - -if I had a hunk available I would want more than him turning pages!!! :santahat:

Deadline hell, huh? May it be over soon.
Love the pictures!
Julie and everyone else with sinus/colds. Try steam showers. The steam dries up the mucus. It really works. :santahat:

Jeannie! Great pictures–Digger looks like he had lots of fun. And how nice that Zoey had a traveling companion.
It’s after 5, I’m online, but not quite done. ALMOST…I’m SO close my fingers are itching to type The End. lolol! Wish me luck!

I would love to be in Telluride, Colorado skiing now. And I would take Digger with me
Comment by JOYE — December 3, 2007 @ 7:56 pm
Jeannie- thanks for the good wishes. Fortunately, I am in a position to work because I wanted to, not because I had to. Which makes the decision all the easier.
On the other hand, I will miss my customers. Most people who shop in a bookstore are faily intelligent. And patient. Although there are the ones I do want to strangle on occassion. :elf:

Hey jungle friends…Carly, I like this blog…so thank you Zoey and Digger…
Well, the temp dropped and we got snow…it is only the second snowfall thus far, the first was on the week of Thanksgiving, but it was windy and extremely cold…I don’t do very well with low temp and I wish that I was in Jamaica right now…just soaking up the sun, eating mangoes and going to the beach…that sounds like Paradise doesn’t it Carly…I wish you luck on your writing…I notice that you are progressing quickly…Happy writing….those of you who live in the warmer climes, can you bottle up some warmth and send it my way…NE Connecticut is getting way too cold…why did summer have to end?
Peace and love,
Paula R.

I’m where I want to be but wish we had enough snow on the ground so I didn’t have to leave for a few days… But since that’s not going to happen, I’ll have to get ready and go to work…lol If I could stay home, I might even get caught up on my reading.
