  5. Happy Black Friday.
    I used to get up and get into the shopping madness but I decided I would rather paint and spruce up the kitchen today.
    I plan on ordering most of my mastree: presents this year online or in by catalog. I think I can better control the spending if I shop from home.

    I went and saw Enchanted yesterday afternoon at the movies with my DH. I loved it
    It was so romantical (yes, I know that isn’t a word, but it sounds good).
    I left the theatre with a smile on my face and a song in my heart.

    Y’all really need to go see it before Christmas :santahat:

  7. Hey jungle friends and I hope that you all had a wonderful time with your families yesterday…me, I stayed home alone and reflected on my life…isn’t that what New Year’s is for? Well, I wouldn’t mind winning this package today…please pick me… sending up a prayers, holding my breath here, crossing my eyes fingers and toes…yeah…I could really use a pick me up and what better way than with chocolate and something wonderful to read…

  12. Hi, hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

    I’m thankful I survived! My SIL set up a table in the study so that hubby would have a quiet place off from the two other big tables (19 people total). Since his surgery he has no sort of filter for background noise, everything just comes at him at once. My SIL’s MIL and FIL sat with us…think a southern belle Miss Manners. The woman got choked on a piece of food and coughed without making a sound!!!

    Very stressful for a country redneck like me whose idea of dressing up is finding clean jeans without holes. I’m so thankful that’s behind me for another year!

  23. mastree: Happy Black Friday, Everyone! I am recovering from yesterday and won’t go out til later this afternoon. Nothing was in the ads to get me to go out early this year. I’m wrapping books/gifts at the local Border’s tomorrow so the money will go to my neighborhood food pantry. I’ll be in downtown Chicago amidst all the lights and madness.   25. Happy Black Friday All.I am back for this week came to visit my mother and father for turkey day :gobble:
    Then got up at 4am to fight the crowds I have no idea why people are so rude today a little sale makes everyone crazy enough to forget their manners!! Now it’s time to start Christmas shopping :stocking:

  31. My grandson & had a yummy :feast: yesterday, not turkey but very good. We did have pumpkin pie!

    No way do I want to go out shopping today. Tomorrow I will be in San Francisco all day, so today I will get some Saturday chores done! I also want to go for a walk in this gorgeous weather.

  36. Hope everyone is enjoying the Black Friday sales. Not ME, I am staying home with no crowds, no traffic and just relaxing after eating too much yesterday. Can you believe some stores opened at midnight, 1:00AM, 4:00AM or 5:00AM…crazy! I somehow manage to get all my shopping done without resorting to getting up in the middle of the night or fighting my way through a sea of people.

  49. I am sooooo glad today is over with. I was in to work at 6 am and we opened at 7. We ran all 8 registers all day, and the line was looonnngggg when I left at 3. I came home. I wasn’t shopping.

    WoW! Very nice prize. I hope you all had a wonderful thanksgiving and :feast: on alot of good food.

    My fiance and I decided to cook again together this year. Last year we had fun together. My fiance made the yams and I added cut up apples in it. It came out very good. We made it last year and loved it so we made it again for this year. We made Peach pie, Apple pie & Sweet potato pie. We also made baked macaroni & cheese, Honey glazed ham, Collard greens, Black eye peas, Corn bread stuffing, biscuits and cranberry. We have so much left over *G*
