Bailey Update
It’s been awhile so I thought I’d update you all on Bailey, but she’d rather do it herself. She’s bossy that way!
Hi, all! I’m 8 month old now. I’ve been living with my family for 6 months. It’s hard to believe the time has passed so fast! I figured first I would show you pictures of the day I came home and me today I just had a haircut) - and some other family photos. Afterall, Thanksgiving is all about family.
Here’s mine:

Can you believe both of these pictures are little old me???
Here’s my family album so to speak!
MY MOMMY
(both of them)
MY Brother BUDDY
There’s more, but I’ll stop there because I’d rather talk more about ME!
I’m quite a polite little girl … just look at how I cross my paws.
And here I am again with my favorite stuffed toy. My sister Jackie named it Squirrelly Face - as if that would make me go fetch it?
I might have arrived here late compared to Buddy and he might get his food first and be allowed out the door before me, but believe me, I’ve taken over. Who do you think is in charge of the toys in this house? Buddy chews his, I take it. Mom gives Buddy my toy, I take that one back. She gives him his original one? That’s right, I grab it back. No one is going to mess with me. Of course sometimes I end up on the short end of the leash, hooked to the dresser or put in my crate while the big dumb ass gets free reign of the house. You’d think he’d take advantage, but no. I whine a little. Woof. Sound pathetic. And Buddy comes running to sit beside me. Yep, who’s calling the shots here?
AGAIN, THAT WOULD BE ME.
BUDDY SPEAKS
Can you believe this girl’s nerve? We all know I’m King. If I want to sleep in my mom and dad’s bed, all I have to do is keep myself clean, look pathetic and I’m THERE. She’s stuck in the crate. I’m fed first. What does that say? Everything if you ask me. Take my toys? I give them to her. If I wanted to take them back, I have her by ten pounds and a good many inches. I could take her if I wanted to. I choose to let her think she’s in charge. Isn’t that what all men do? It’s the smart, easy way to live, Man.
Do I look like the servant or the king? Don’t answer that. It’s a rhetorical question.
AND NOW FOR YOUR VIEWING PLEASURE:
I’ll end now, assuming you’ve had your fill of me.
Yeah, right. Anyway, I just wanted to wish you all an early
: from me, Miss Full of Herself, Mom and the rest of the family. Remember to
EAT :turkey:
DRINK
and
BE MERRY
:vibrating:

Oh, the puppies are so cute!
If anyone is having trouble seeing/posting to the blog today, please email me at julie @ julieleto.com. We’re trying to figure out what’s going on. I can see the blog fine, but Leslie can’t.

I can’t believe how much Bailey has changed! No more Teddy Bear look! But she’s still adorable and I love seeing (and hearing) about her life in the Phillip’s family! :giggle:
It’s very quiet here today! Where is everyone?
Comment by Janelle — November 19, 2007 @ 11:09 am
Everyone must be on vacation- except those of us who work retail!!
We are not allowed time off from now until after New Year’s- so everyone remember that when you are doing your shopping and run into a grumpy sales person.
I am exhausted already and we are just starting!!
Bailey is too funny. Buddy has the same attitude out Lab Charlie does with our Doxie, Isis. He’s still the Alpha. haha Actually, I think the new kitten rules the roost now.
I am off to get my nails done- the last relaxation I will get until the weekend- If I am lucky!!
Have a great day everyone!!

Carly, I mean Bailey that was really cute…you better watch out for Buddy…he thinks that he runs the show…He also thinks he knows what women want…you need to show him whose boss around that house…
I hope everyone is having a great start to the holiday week…enjoy your :turkey: discussions around the family :feast: and as Carly said…eat
and be merry…
I will talk to you all later…gotta finish up my comments for my students…
Peace and love,
Paula R.

Janelle i think some people are traveling or busy getting ready for thanksgiving dinner. Im usually comment number 30 at this time of day.

Oh how adorable they both are!! And I can’t believe how much Bailey has changed. After watching the video, I’ve realized that they remind my of the dog in the Muppets, Sprocket! (We just watched the Muppet Family Christmas so right now everything is reminding me of a muppet…lol)

Elisa, I think you’re right. So many things to do this week before Thanksgiving on Thursday! And I know many people travel during this week, too! :vibrating:

hey carly,
your doggies are so cute. I can’t believe how Bailey has changed. I mean the fur, she used to be much darker. But I like her look. And Buddy really is a cute one, too. You’re so lucky to have those two and as long as both believe they are the boss, I think there will be no bigger problems. LOL
Hope you are all fine out there and look forward to Thanksgiving. Carly definitely is right.
and :turkey:
:vibrating: Have fun y’all
See you

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone :feast:
Bailey you are turning into a really fluffy doll.
Me I’m up to 3 lbs. 5 ounces and my toys are all mine.
No sharing here. No sah! I sit, laydown, come, fetch and stay on command.
I love to tear up paper and picking pockets is a new trick I learned all
on my own. I got a holiday bath and cut too. I am two months younger
than you are. And following in your footsteps, am going to be spade
next week. I hope you and Buddy and the whole family have a wonderful
ThanksGiving :gobble: :gobble: :gobble:

Is Bailey a Wheaten Terrier? I have a friend who has one and he’s 7 months old now. His coat has gotten so light ~ I sure miss the dark hair on his face. He’s a lot of fun and sure loves his human auntie (that would be me).

Bailey you & Buddy are so lucky to be a part of the Phillips family. I know they all love you both. Thanks for entertaining us with the video & an update on how you have grown.
Last week we were asked about our Thanksgiving plans & at that point I didn’t have any! Now I do! My daughter is working, no surprise there but my grandson is not so I will be cooking dinner for the two of us. I think I will do Rock Cornish Game Hens with wild rice stuffing, a vegetable, maybe a salad & of course pumpkin pie for dessert with real Whipped Cream. Yum!! :turkey: It may not be turkey but it will be yummy! My grandson is 18 & he is good about hanging out with Grandma once in awhile.

I can’t believe how big Bailey is now. She and Buddy are both so cute. I totally agree with Tina that they both look like Sprocket from the Muppets/Fraggle Rock.

Bailey you are adorable! I can’t believe how much you’ve grown already. Buddy is one lucky brother to have you around.
Enjoy your thanksgiving. :feast:

Bailey is so cute!!!
All three boys are back at school
, but I went into one of their classrooms to volunteer today (the other volunteers are busy!), so my day is crazy (put boys on bus, take third to school, run to another school, pick up third boy at school, run home). Fortunately, I am home for the rest of the day (until YOGA!).
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone (in case I forget tomorrow, because I am doing the same!). Drive/fly/travel safely…. :vibrating: :feast: :turkey: :gobble:
ev, I will be nice to retail people. I remember working the Christmas seasons….that made me strongly dislike Christmas, but I love it again!

Thanks for all the compliments about my

Tina, my daughter’s been calling Bailey a muppet for awhile!
Zoey, you’re getting spayed?? Run for your life!
Just kidding. Your mommy will give you extra love and attention. It’ll be OK!
Dev, Bailey and Buddy are both wheatens! As you can tell, I adore the breed but they are tons of work, don’t train easily, and are high maintenance. That said they give love back in spaids adn are worth it when they get themselves together like Buddy!
Hi, Mickey. I’d LOVE to be your friend!
To all: Thanks for visiting!!
