This isn’t for the squeamish
I just had a fight with the innards of the :gobble: Don’t you hate it when they’re frozen? And stupid me, seasoned the sucker before I remembered to pull the bag and the neck out. Of course this is supposed to be a FRESH :vibrating: but for some reason, the insides are frozen solid anyway. So here I am holding up the 13 pound turkey w hile my husband (after trying ice tongs to yank the neck out) turns on the instant hot (boiled) water and we aim it inside the already seasoned turkey. The neck came out easily. As I told Bailey and Buddy, SAVE THE :vibrating: SAVE THE WORLD. More to come I am sure. HAPPY THANKSGIVING … I am thankful for all of YOU!

Hey picking up on Laura’s shopping comment … who is braving the
mastree: ((I really need a Menorah Icon!) shopping and crowds tomorrow?
Comment by Carly — November 22, 2007 @ 11:01 am
Hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving!! Hubby got a break and is off this morning so we’ve had a lazy morning and he even fixed me french toast for breakfast. Saving calories now and won’t eat again until tonight! :feast:
And no, I won’t be shopping tomorrow. Hubby told me he heard a commercial for a store that is opening at 4:00 am! Hate it for the employees. I plan to be sleeping at 4:00, at 6:00 when the other stores open and hopefully, still at 8:00!

:happythanks: to you
Hope you all stay save and eat :feast: and drink
:vibrating:
Carly, it seems like you’re attracting trouble again. So take care and everybody else there, too. I feel like a lot of you will have some stories to tell. You’ve already got me curious.
And for the
mastree: shopping: If you haven’t done it yet (or at least some of the presents), start now because you can never start soon enough to get those bargains.
Take care all of you, have fun and stay safe
:gobble:
See you
Vero
PS: Hope I added every Thanksgiving icon cause that was my aim LOL.
Oh, I forgot one, but here it is

:feast: Enjoy the day!
There is no way you could get me to shop at 4 am unless I was up all night!!! There is nothing I need that would induce me to shop for bargains so early in the day & I love to shop!!!! :santahat: Saturday I am going with friends to a craft fair in San Francisco. We started doing this 3 or 4 years ago. The selection is fantastic, these women (all vendors are women) are professional at what they do, they should be called artists. There are wonderful things to look at! Now if I just had some money to spend!!! The weather will be beautiful & it will be a fun day! :gobble:

Hi, everyone! Just got back from my cousin’s house…man, that woman can cook. She cooked EVERYTHING herself for 25 people and it was delicious. Including a 30lb. :gobble: !!! I didn’t even know it could be made that big and it was juicy and delicious. Apparently, it has to be cooked upside down so that the dark meat makes the juice for the white. It was fabuous!
I’m stuffed…
Oh…and did I mention she made her mother’s recipe sangria? I had to pace myself. It’s delicious! And with brandy, has quite the kick.

Comment by Julie Leto — November 22, 2007 @ 6:39 pm
Mmm… Julie, that sounds fabulous! Hats off to your cousin! And Carly, best wishes with that turkey! Hope you win!
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
