Julie’s Jungle Madness Friday!
It’s the first day of Autumn. It’s actually under 80 degrees here in Florida (right this minute, anyway…and hey, beggers can’t be choosers) so let’s celebrate! With chocolate!

An assortment from my favorite chocolate makers, See’s. Here’s the description:
Autumn Treasure Box
A flurry of fall colors, this elegant gift box arrives filled with a special assortment of See’s milk, dark and white chocolates. Magnetically held lid and reusable 6 ” square box are ideal for organizing special photos and keepsakes.
Post a comment. Only one entry per person, US only.
Be sure and stop by tomorrow (Saturday) for another guest blog post, this time from a writer very near and dear to my heart. Please stop by and tell all your friends! The place to be for aspiring writers is Plotmonkeys.com on Saturday!

OH! And I almost forgot…last Saturday’s guest blogger, KAREN ROSE, just found out she made the NYTimes bestseller list for the FIRST TIME! I don’t think her appearance at Plotmonkeys had anything to do with it…but we should at least help her celebrate! Yeah, Karen!!

That’s enough to make a day much brighter. I love their chocolate!

Ohhhh! Chocolate, wonderful chocolate!!! My favorite treat!
We have just had rain, rain and more rain with lots of wind and a few tornado sightings…not very nice weather for us right now, but things are starting to look up with sunshine, hopefully, by this afternoon and brighter days ahead.
What wonderful news for Karen Rose…love her books!
Wishing everyone a happy and safe week-end.

OOOOHHHH chocolate, I absolutely loooooooooooove chocolate. I’ve never had See’s before, they don’t sell that here in Ohio, at least not anywhere I’ve been. Temps are supposed to be in the low 80’s here for today and the weekend. That is absolutely fabulous weather for this time of year here in Ohio.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone. Congrats to Karen!!!!

Comment by Elisa V — September 21, 2007 @ 12:02 pm
Chocolate is a fave around this house! If my chocolate sniffing husband catches wind of this prize in our house it will be gone before I know it! A while ago I wanted to make chocolate chip cookies. I bought two bags of chocolate chips and hid them in a tin can on the top most shelf in the kitchen. They were up there maybe two weeks at the most. Somehow my husband sniffed them out! When I went to make my cookies they were gone! I asked my husband if he ate them, he said “Sure did! About a week ago!” I couldn’t believe it! If I win this prize I will have to think of a better spot to hide it or better yet! I will share them with him!

I live in Florida too, I got my Pottery Barn Fall Cataloge and it has some great Fall decorating Ideas. We don’t see much of a change in Season in South Florida so we have to remind ourselves by decorating.
It’s time to put away the sea shells and bring out the fake Fall leaves

Comment by Kate Scott — September 21, 2007 @ 6:42 pm
Yeah, autumn here in Arizona means days of temps UNDER 100 degrees so If I win the chocolates they won’t melt when the mailman puts them on my doorstep
Comment by JOYE — September 21, 2007 @ 7:38 pm
Janelle hope your resting.
I Know you lie to hear about Zoey so here goes.
Zoey went to the puppy day spa today for the first time.
She came out looking mighty spiffy with her 2 bows and
smelling like a walking perfume bottle. She hasn’t looked at me since.
Hard to be mad for long with the person who spoils you rotten.
I figure after some quality time with her sympathic father
later this evening she’ll come around. Maybe.
I sent him a pic on the phone today and he said,
“What did you do to that poor dog now?”
He is absolutely no help at all when the pets or kids need
someone to wallow in their woes.
Yes Carly she is getting a little more sympathy than you.
But come on now: We’re talking 3 root canals and a bone graph.

I haven’t been able to celebrate Halloween “properly” for the past two years but for some odd reason I am SO excited that autumn has finally arrived. I mean, I just got back from Walmart and I’m “puppy wiggling” excited about all the cool Halloween/ autumn things. Yay!

Hmmm… maybe I don’t need any chocolate but I sure want some!
Comment by Jen — September 21, 2007 @ 9:49 pm

Thanks everyone for the sympathy on my root canals. The endodontist did ALL THREE of them today. He had to get them all opened up and the infection cleaned out. By the time I got home I was in such excruciating pain!
I spent most of the day doped up on vicoden!
Jeannie — I bet Zoey looked like a cute fluff ball by the time she got home from the puppy spa! Unfortunately, our four legged pets HATE the spa! I know mine does! The first thing she does when I get her home is run outside and roll around on the grass to get all the frou-frou smell off of her!
Comment by Janelle — September 22, 2007 @ 12:47 am
