New Mondays
First, for those of you who like consistency, we need to let you know of a Plotmonkey change. Leslie will be taking Tuesdays and I’ll be blogging on Mondays, for whoever keeps track.
So for my first Monday blog, Janelle’s pics of hot guys (we can always count on Janelle for hotties) got me thinking of my upcoming book, SEALED WITH A KISS.
Who is Hunter? Who could play Hunter in a movie?
Well I know who I envisioned as I was writing it: Matthew McConaughey (the Matthew who showers and isn’t playing Bongos naked in his trailer). Well maybe a naked Matthew wouldn’t be so bad. Why did I choose him? Because although when you met Hunter in CROSS MY HEART, he was neatly dressed and cared about making an impression, the Hunter in SEALED WITH A KISS had a tough time in the eight or so months since Molly’s been gone. He’s picked up some of his old habits: eating pizza out of the box, drinking beer instead of high falutin’ Vodka brands, and he bought himself a motorcycle. So you can see when I fell over a picture of him on a bike, Hunter immediately came to mind. Unfortunately when I went to find it again to show you all, it was gone. But this one works for me too:

I am not a big MM fan, but he isn’t bad- as long as he showers and uses deoderant. Which, from what I understand, he doesn’t use. ick. One reason you would never catch me with a french guy.

I can so see Matthew as Hunter. Just think of him in A Time to Kill when he wakes up hung over in his office and slides across the couch(with his shirt off of course) to go answer the door. I can watch that one scene over and over again. The perfect example of the hot sexy lawyer.

Honestly, I don’t know who would make a good Hunter. I envisioned him to be someone else. I can see MM though.
Thanks for telling me about the switch with Leslie. You know it throws off my morning. Carly, I am reading THE RIGHT CHOICE. Most excellent. Couldn’t put it down, except when my eyes were closing.

I think Matthew would be good, cause he could play the sophisticated Hunter and then the one who spiraled out of control 8 months later. I think Matthew would look hot in the motorcycle leather.

I usually try not to picture a celebrity when I’m reading because it throws me off, but I must confess that Matthew is a very nice choice.

I love Johnny Depp. We may need to ponder other alternatives if he and Matthew are booked.
Though, I have to admit, I’m becoming a huge Michael Buble fan … and he’s so cute. But, probably not Hunter Material.

I do love MM but I was picturing Paul Walker (he was in Eight Below and the Fast & The Furious movies). Of course, I picture him as a lot.

Two notes: Carly, here’s a link to a vid for a girl that got a 300 page thick IPhone bill from ATT.

Since I haven’t read either book yet, I’m not sure who should play Hunter. MM is a yummy guy despite his “strange” habits.
I had a friend that could not wear deodorant & she never smelled so not wearing it is okay! Dr. Oz a guest on Oprah also talks about wearing cologne, perfume, etc. Can’t remember is he talked about wearing deororant!
How about James David Elliott or maybe the actor that played the vet or Grey’s? I’m sort of blanking out on yummy hunks at the moment!!!

Oooohhh, Leslie - I love MM in Sahara. In fact, when I first read this post this morning that was what came to mind. We watched it AGAIN, one night last week, for the umteenth time and it’s still good and he’s still hot!!
Thanks for letting me know about the switch. I’m one of the people who would have been going, “Wait…I thought today was Monday…did I miss Monday?”
Wish me luck, everyone. We’e off to Duke to meet with the neuro-oncologist tomorrow. Not sure how that’s going to go since I’m pretty against chemo at this point and his parents are pretty for it at this point and he just shrugs (things still aren’t completely clicking for him).
I’m just praying for clarity on which way to go and then to be able to at peace with whichever decision is made. See y’all Thursday!

Oh yeah, he could play Hunter. He’s very much how I pictured him while reading SWAK.
The book is awesome!!! And I have to say I loved Ollie…had me laughing out loud. I won’t say any more than that since I don’t want to add a spoiler but the book totally ROCKS!!

Carly, I think that Matthew McConaughey is an excellent choice…some other possibilities are Chris O’Donnell…I am really digging Billy Ray Cyrus right now…Lorenzo Lamas could work too…I pictured a Tom Selleck lookalike…of course the earlier Magnum P.I. he was hot to me…
