Fifth Friday…Jungle Madness!
It’s the fifth Friday of the month, so that means our contest comes from all four of the Plotmonkeys! This week, we chose this:

This refreshing collection includes everything needed to make a deluxe ice cream sundae; simply add your favorite ice cream. Chocolate and caramel ice cream sauces, maraschino cherries, chopped peanuts, rainbow sprinkles, famous Guittard smooth and melty mints, light and crisp lady fingers and Bridget’s butter waffle cookies are accompanied by two nostalgic ice cream bowls and an ice cream scooper. It’s easy to create classic soda fountain ice cream sundaes when you have all the right tools and ingredients.
Doesn’t it look YUMM-O? (Borrowing a phrase from my favorite Food Network personality!) The perfect summer treat! Since no ice cream is involved, you can always use dairy-free icecream or frozen yogurt or whatever fits on your diet. Or have a party! What’s better than a sundae party for two?
We’re also including a $25 gift certificate to Amazon!
Just put in a comment…US winners only because of shipping.
OH–AND REMEMBER…only one entry per IP address. And yes, we’re watching. We need to be fair to all our loyal Plotmonkey readers.

Oh…and just in case you haven’t noticed…there are TWO, count them, TWO Plotmonkey books out this week. Keep those bookstore reports coming!

Wow, a bonus package LOL. I’m really starting to get into ice cream - I used to have it only once in a great while, so this sounds yummy.
You guys truly are generous, and I appreciate how much you think of your fans. It makes me sad, and a little angry, that people cheat.
But I’ll stay off the soapbox and just wish everyone a great weekend - summer is in full swing - woo hoo!

Please?? This vacation started out so nice and thanks to hubby’s kids who came in on tuesday, all we are doing is fighting. I hate the way they treat my daughter and myself when he can’t hear them, so he doesnt’ believe us. I want to go home. :cry:Except that there will be no bathrooms there until tomorrow. I can always rent a port-a-pottie I suppose.
I need ice cream, and alcohol too.

Plus, one of my boys has been inspired to cook for me! Can’t beat that! I could go on forever…that was my favorite topic. Have a safe weekend, everyone….

ev, might I suggest..
They’re very small, fit in your purse or pocket, and no one will know you are recording them until you need them to, if you know what I mean! You can probably find a cheaper one at Wal-Mart or Radio Shack.
Hugs!!!

Great prize:present:
After all the foodnetwork discussion yesterday, I was in the mood to cook, even though it was 95 degrees here and I don’t usually cook when it’s that hot, so I went on the foodnetwork.com website and got a recipe for any easy chicken francese and it was a big hit with my family:thumbsup2: so check out the website it was pretty cool.
Well have a great weekend everyone…TGIF
Comment by Tina Martinesi — June 29, 2007 @ 10:39 am
Oh, me, me, me! Ice cream–fantastic! Amazon–even better! (And I’m so sorry that the week’s been un-fun, ev–hope that gets better soon!) Happy weekend, everyone!
Comment by Fedora — June 29, 2007 @ 10:44 am
Ev - I’m so sorry. I’ve been in a similar situation before and I know how frustrating/hurtfull it can be. Here’s a big hug! That’s exactly why I’m not doing the family vacation over July 4th. They’re not happy and think I’m a Bee-yotch for not wanting to be around them (inlaws) but it’s better than murder!
As for the bathroom - my college age son’s friends (who claim they can’t afford toilet paper) just go to the grocery store or fast food restaurant whenever they need to.
There’s gotta be a better plan!!!
Have a great weekend, everyone!!
Comment by Jodie — June 29, 2007 @ 10:45 am
Another great prize!
Ev, my mom is getting married in a couple of weeks and her fiances daughter acts so polite when everybody else is around but then she turns into a spoiled brat when it is just us. A while back she told her dad a bunch of lies about the way me and my sister were treating her. Before that, we were trying to be nice to her but now we don’t even make the effort. Her dad has slowly started seeing her true colors so maybe one day your hubby will too. And I agree with Julie’s idea about a tape recorder if you are really getting tired of the way they treat you and your daughter.
Comment by Claudia — June 29, 2007 @ 10:58 am
Hang in there Ev….I have the same thing going on when my stepson comes over. Do you know he wouldn’t even come near my daughter, his half sister until she turned 1 year. I asked if he wanted to hold her etc…and he never would. And my daughter cries her little eyes out when he “pops over” for a 10 minute visit then leaves. All she wants is his love and attention.
UGH…I agree with Julie….get a recorder and force your hubby to hear the awful truth one way or another. Why should you be miserable.
Comment by Kelly F. — June 29, 2007 @ 11:01 am
I only eat ice cream in the summer. Since it is an occasional indulgence, I feel free to indulge. My favorite ice cream is gelato. It is hard to find in rural Idaho so I do buy it when I see it out of town.
Comment by Phyllis — June 29, 2007 @ 11:05 am
Yum!!! The one thing that can tempt me is anything to do with ice cream.
But I’m on vacation once I get off work tonight so I’ll worry about that another day. Happy weekend, everyone!

Comment by Cherie J — June 29, 2007 @ 12:52 pm
Oh Ev they know they are getting to you. Kids can be so cruel.
Julie’s idea isn’t a bad one.
If that’s not possible I would just so act like you and your daughter are having a blast and they so can’t possibly understand what they could have if they were a part of that. Instead of them spending so much time trying to be disruptive. I might also ask dearest hubby if they learned to be so manipulative due to the divorce or because they learned at an early age how to play Mom against Dad. Give him some food for thought.
Must importantly you are the smart adult outsmart them.
Me I would call a family meeting and tell them (in front of Dad )that
you have decided they might want to try as hard to get along as they do to be hurtful and maybe, just maybe, you’ll decide not to become the wicked step mother they deserve.
Most of all remeber we luv ya, I couldn’t find a choc icon but how about
:cocktail::cocktail::cocktail::cocktail::cocktail::cocktail::cocktail:
Today Ev if I win you can have my basket of goodies.
I’ll just take the amazon book certificate. Oh yeah!
Thanks PlotMonkeys! I am on my way to a book store 1 hour away in
Maine.
I want “She’s No Angel” by Leslie
and
I am not waiting until I get

Eureka! At Borders, Glendale, CA, this A.M., found the HQNs by Leslie & Karen (on lst floor at new PBs), even though when I called yesterday, I was told not there. Since L.A. seems the world’s worstx, as far as distribution, maybe, this is a sign that they’re finally released in other cities, as well.
Due to cholesterol watch please delete my post from this week’s giveaway, but, thank you for providing all you give.
Leslie, hope your hand/wrist are improving, & the move-in is going well.

Not an entry for today.
Leslie, Leslie, Leslie.
I want you to know I have tried my best.

“She’s No Angel” ships July 3rd.
I have been to Borders, Walden books, barnes & noble and

mr. paper back as well as wally worlds
in several new england states
I give up. I was told by at least 6 different stores that your
book doesn’t release until July 1
Understand I have in my travels purchased many books
not scheduled to be released until July, but available in JUNE.
I love your books and think you are very special but
I won’t be able to get your book until next week.

Hi all, TGIF…I leave for vaca and my graduation trip tomorrow in the am…I can’t wait…I am meeting up with two of my college buddies and we are going to road trip it to my graduation in AZ…I checked out the two books while I was at Walmart today and I can’t wait until I finally get to read them…I was going through some of my “old” books and found one that Carly wrote…it was for Harlequin’s Born in the U.S.A series…I loved that one, so I am sure that I will love this one too…I hope that everyone has a wonderful weekend and rest of the week…I may not have internet access for the next nine days, since I will be in a car most of the time, so I will see you all in two weeks…ttyl

You had me at maraschino cherries. It’s one of those I can literally eat until I’m sick. The other is licorice.
