I loved reading this post. SO much. I'm e-published but the book I'm currently planning out is going to be aimed straight at Harlequin, and so reading this post has been really encouraging for me. Thank you!

Anything you want badly enough is worth working hard and fighting for! If you believe in yourself you're halfway there. OK too many bad cliches. Going to bed now! :hide:

Carly -

Thanks for the great advice and guidance. I know the journey will be difficult, but I'm hopeful that the end justifies the means.

Have a great holiday weekend!

Hi Carly~ Thank you for another great workshop! I told you last week I got my first rejection letter (thanks for the hugs) but it wasn't a standard letter, it made reference to my characters and my plot (all that from just a one page synopsis) so reading what you said -
"If the letter in your hands mentions your characters by name or points out a flaw or flaws in your precious manuscript, it’s time for back-slapping, military hugs. Because you’ve crossed that first hurdle. You’ve given an editor something to criticize". - and hearing congratulations from so many people about my first try, has made it difficult to feel bad about it.
I'm guess I'm headed in the right direction:thumbsup:
Thank you Plot Monkeys for making the days of an aspiring writer more inspiring and fun. I am learning a lot from you all.
Thank you, thank you, thank you:bowdown:
And best of luck to all the other writers out there!

Thank you and the other Plotmonkeys so much for the workshop these last few Saturdays. As an aspiring author they have been helpful and encouraging and I truly can not thank you all enough.

I have learned so much and look forward to putting my name out there.
BTW if they complain I am sending them to you. LOL

Have a great Memorial Day weekend and enjoy the sunshine.
