Jungle Madness Friday!!!

Because after losing those twelve pages yesterday (seven edited, five new…all brilliant and all gone,) this is what I’m offering this week.

That’s one bottle of margarita mix, one tin of margarita cookies, one tin of margarita salt and one cute serving tray all from the El Paso Chile Company.

Oh, and a book. There’s always a book!

US residents only…and save a shot of tequila for me. Just post a comment…if you include the reason why you need these margaritas, you won’t have an increased chance of winning, but you will help the rest of us commiserate.

  4. I could really use one. :cocktail: We not only have stupid coupons at the store we have buy one get one for 99 cents. Do you know how many people get confused over that sale? Why is it my 9 year old niece can understand it but and adult cannot?

    When a customer brings one item up and I tell them it is part of buy one get one, they look at me with this blank look on their faces.

    is what they need when they act dumb.

  5. Hugs, Stacy S…in the meantime, enjoy your time off. Cheryl, this wasn’t hard to come up with after the day I had yesterday (and no, the 12 pages are not back. I tried, but the witty banter…all gone from my head. Maybe today will be better.) Barb, sorry for the customers. I know your pain–I stand behind these people every time I go shopping.

    For those of you who don’t “do” tequila…you can always mix the margarita mix with club soda or sprite and crushed ice. Very refreshing for the hot summer! And the cookies…oh, just yum.

  8. Happy Friday! I can’t say that I have had a bad day recently, because I am on a caribbean cruise headed back to Port Canaveral Florida right now. Ok, one bad thing happened. We went to a Butterfly Farm in St. Maarten and I have about 25 mosquito bites on the back of my legs. I am not kidding either, i woke up itching so bad I almost couldn’t stand it. Other than that I still have had a great week.

    I even made the effort to join the party from sea!

Awesome prize as always…would come in handy for our big pool party at my friends house next weekend. Margaritas are a big fav for me and all my friends(only way most will touch tequila).

  11. I have been out straight and stressed out planning a fundraiser for the Relay For Life (American Cancer Society)team I am co-Captain of. Julie, I wish I lived closer we could meet up for some drinks because boy do I need some.

    The fundraiser is tonight and I am down to 2 team members helping out! Wish me luck, hopefully we can pull this off.

  17. I’m a new poster here, but have lurked for quite a while. Julie, this prize is perfect! My reason for needing it? A book to finish revising for an agent who has been waiting for it for three months, and the kids got out of school yesterday!

    What’s up with that?! And, thanks to a new state law, they don’t go back until the end of August. Over three months of bliss. How will I fill the long, boring days for my three kids?

Let’s just say that yesterday, my oldest who has autism (first of all, he turned seven which was reason to celebrate, but my husband was out of town, so our babysitter and the boys had a little party) had a HOE DOWN at school. He was agitated in the beginning, but then fine….HOWEVER, my two year old had a tantrum at the HOE DOWN and I had to leave early and he kept screaming…..then, I watch “GREY’s” after putting them to bed and all I can say is This morning my two year old woke everyone up and is still causing trouble. TGIF (note sarcasm).

  19. Wow! What a terrific prize. Would celebrate the beautiful weather we are now having…Spring has finally arrived here with warm, sunny weather and yards filling with beautiful colors from the flowers and shrubs. Definitely worth celebrating with some of our great neighbors.

  23. Wow Margarita’s are always a great prize. I am really sorry about your pages. If I was able to drink I could use it. I am 8 months pregnant and have a 2 year old. My husband now seems to be traveling every week for work and we just found out that we are going to have to move his grandmother out of her house that she has lived in for over 50 years and man is she a PACK RAT. This should be a fun filled month.

    I LOVE a good margaria. I NEED a great margarita.

    It is the end of the school year and life in the middle school dean’s office is…well let’s just say it is HORRIBLE.

    On top of that our car is in the shop and it needs lots of band-aids, and thanks to dh we have a $200 ticket to pay……

  26. OHHH Julie I’m sending good wishes your way, hoping today will be a better day.
    Could use the :present: this week, have a bad cold, and my son’s school is doing there big Carnival fund raiser, the weather is not co-operating and then to top it all off…while I had to work the Carnival I taped Ugly Betty and Greys Anatomy, stayed up till 2am to watch them only to have the tape end when there was still 15min. of Grey left….I missed the last 15 minutes of the finale!!! :cry:
    I’m gonna try to see if I can watch it on the computer during my lunch break later….then after working all day I’m back at the Carnival tonight…is it mean of me to pray for rain

  27. Hi everyone! I hope everyone’s day gets better and that the weekend is terrific for everyone!! No headache today so things are definitely looking up on my end. And my oldest gets back from a week long vacation and I get to go pick him up at the airport. 2 hours with him, I don’t remember the last time that happened, so I’m looking forward to today.

  35. I need a margarita because several blogs went all wonky this morning and I didn’t figure out why until my fifteenth cup of coffee!

    Turns out it wasn’t the blogs, but the server software needed a huge update, and so the server was either slow or worse for a while this morning. After the upgrade, it looks like we’re back to normal. And there’s an update for our users, too!

  39. I so need this. I’m in the middle - nearing the end of a 200 people move at my company. To a new building (completely new) So many things to do so many complaints to listen to…Needless to say :cocktail: would be a good thing.

    Of course the book would be great as well.

  71. Kelly- The RFL fundraiser situation? Been there\done that and it always works out in the end. I hope ya’ll made a ton of money!!

    This has been a rough 4 weeks for me. My manager and director are both out on medical leave and all the administrative crap I hate so much has fallen on me. Plus training 2 new associates, plus doing my own work.
