Saturday Chit-Chat
Question: “What do you like best about Nashville?
LK: The hotel! WOW The Hermitage is unbelievably beautiful. The service is impeccable. There is this huge bathtub in which I took a relaxing bubble bath (Julie took a picture…I might be persuaded to put it in here, it was hilarious–I thought the shower gel was bubble bath, so I poured in half a bottle, and ended up with bubbles climbing halfway up the wall! We have a view out our window of the state legislature building, which has been a flurry of activity for tomorrow’s inauguration of the governor! We’ll have a front row seat. Big thumbs up for this place!
CP:Seeing the other Plotmonkeys, of course! Throughout the weekend of laughs (too many to count!) and tears (after Grey’s Anatomy- that soon turned into real life sobs and confessions that were cathartic); of arguments over food (Les and I had stomach problems and Julie had to have BBQ b/c she was in Nashville) the weekend was absolutely perfect. So was the city and the hotel. As of this posting, no time outs have been given.
I love my plotmonkey pals!
JEL: It’s hard to beat this hotel. If it’s not five star, it should be! And I’ve travelled a lot, so when I say this place is fabulous I’m not kidding. The other monkeys want me to write about the food, and while it’s been great, I can’t not write about the people here. I can’t talk enough about how wonderful the people are here. Everyone from Lucy at the front desk to Bonita our cab driver have been friendly and accommodating and genuinely amazing. I can’t say enough about the people of Nashville…they definitely make me want to come back!
JD: I’m here, I’m here! I forgot to add in my post!
Ditto on all of the above! It’s hard to pick out just one thing that I’ve enjoyed the most about Nashville. The hotel service has been superior, the people so super-friendly, and the weather just perfect! I just wish we had more time to get out and sight-see, because there is so much to “see” here in Nashville. The good news is, we’ve been busy plotting some awesome stories for 2007-2008!

I love Nashville, so I can totally agree with you Julie. The people are the nicest.
Leslie- you need to show us the picture!!

Glad to here your all having a great time in Nahville!
Leslie, That bath sounds like it could be written into a story…just add a hunk
Carly, I agree about the Greys Anatomy, even though I knew from the commercial that Georges Dad wasn’t gonna make it I still cried like a baby:cry:…And having my Dad out of the picture most of my life I totaly related to Merediths jealousy of George.

I think the 2009 or 2010 RWA Conference is in Nashville, so I can’t wait for that! Always wanted to visit and this will be the perfect excuse to actually go to Nashville.

I’m jealous! I’m stuck in Atlanta with a house full of hormonal teenage girls and a dog with the runs.
If you HAPPEN to go sightseeing, and HAPPEN to see Tim McGraw just wandering around, someone pinch him on the arse for me. If I were to see him, my underwear would probably catch on fire. Don’t think ol’ Faith would like that too much.
Have fun!

Arse pinching, Huh? Me thinks the husbands might protest more than Faith.
I’m glad your having fun and the hotel is wonderful. Nothing better than good friends having fun. Plotting’s good too.

Decisions, decisions , decisions.
Well one can dream.:love2:
The bubble bath picture sounds like fun Please Post it!
I have always wanted to go to nashville maybe someday
Have fun, tomorrow is football day for me. I am so trying to decide what to read next. I am down to the last 30 or so books in my “to read pile”
Should I try, V.L.Thompson, nerdy books, J.Cruise books or R.St Claire I picked up after she posted here.
I am really trying to get to them all before the fab 4 monkeys release another book.
HAve a blast Monkeys you have earned it.:cocktail:

Plotmonkeys, it sounds like you are having a wonderful weekend. Enjoy what is left of it! I’m sure you will have great stories to share with us. Love the “bubble bath”!
Although Nashville is not a place I’ve thought about visiting it sounds wonderful. So are you talking about where to go next year? There are so many wonderful choices.
Everyone enjoy the weekend.

The Hermitage is a 5 star hotel(only one in TN). Enjoy all the sites in Nashville. If you want to see the really big stars, you have to go over to Green Hills(where Nicole and keith hang out when in town) or Franklin(most of the music people live out there. If y’all get a chance it is so worth driving out the Loveless Cafe for breakfast. It is a good distance from downtown, but the food is the best!!!

Ok so you raised my curiousity and I went to the Hermitage Hotel Web site. Wowie!

:doggie:Carly:doggie:
I just think you should know Buddy would be upset to hear that they have a pampered pet program at the Heritage. I mean after all he went thru with surgery and all it seems he should have had the pleasure.
:doggie: Here is the doggie portion from there site.
Pampering Pet Program
Traveling with the beloved family canine? Our elaborate and welcoming pet program offers custom pet beds, room service pet menu prepared by our chefs, dog walking service and grooming available from select providers.
