jeannie- a dragon stove topper? I might just have to get a wood stove to have one of those!! I collect dragons, hence my license plate of BookWyrm. LOL

Jeannine and Leslie…thanks for the cyber hugs. I feel a lot better. Geez…I just don’t understand when saying or writing a note “Thank you” became SO out of fashion (I am only 36 years old and my mom taught me ALWAYS to say ‘thank you”.

I have had both my boys home this past week, which is always my favorite wish for Christmas. But should they decide to maybe go skiing next week for a couple of days, I would then have my second favorite gift, the house to myself, just me and my tbr pile. Okay, and maybe some really good take out…and See’s candy that I don’t have to share.

I am about half way thru Leslies, Don’t Open Till Christmas.
I like the characters a lot. I’ll get back to you when I finish. :love2:
I know I have slowed down but there are so many things going on.
I have to grab a few pages before bed and I fall asleep before I get to many pages read.

I know it is not in the cards for me because it is way to expensive but, if I could, boy would I love one of those new sony readers. I saw one at best buy and boy is it impressive. I’m not cooking. I passed that job on to my sons and there respective others. I actually went to the nail salon with a gift certificate from my hubby and got the nails/pedicure today. I had never done this until I was in treatments for cancer and my hubby took me one day and said I needed a pick me up and it would make me feel good. No kidding it was amazing then and I still get in there once a month. One of the few things I do for me. :present:
Hey Katie, write “dear whoever” about those in-laws lack of thank-you_s. Them make sure they each get mailed an anonymous copy.
Make sure you mail one to yourself too.

Since I cant have George, how about an hour shopping spree in Borders! Or maybe a $1,000 gift certif to Borders. I guess these 2 wishes are almost up there with Clooney.

Jeannie: I almost cried when I read your post. I think my sons appreciate me (they give me lots of hugs and kisses, and tell me they love me a lot). I don’t think hubby appreciates all that I do for our family and his family and my family around this time. Worse, his family doesn’t say “THANK YOU” and act like they are owed gifts. I just wish that one of them would say, “Thank you”. What can I say? I have taught my boys to say it (and my oldest has autism, so talking is difficult for him).

I am glad you enjoyed my poem. I am not a poet. I love this community so much and it is fun to ‘hang with the girls” (Okay, I do know that guys post, too). I am so appreciative of this community, the writers and posters.

Well, I am off to do some more Christmas stuff (I am down to baking cookies)….just a couple more and I am DONE!

Leslie, I’ll keep you in my prayers that your house sells - QUICKLY! There was kind of this deal that I had with a couple of other people who had their houses for sale. We all prayed for each other’s house to sell instead of our own. Mine sold at the end of November and I felt like I hit the lottery!

I want you (and anyone else who has a house for sale) to get to have that feeling too. Probably not by Monday, but maybe by New Year’s Day you’ll have an offer.

Hope everyone else gets exactly what they’re hoping for too!
