Jungle Madness Friday

Welcome to our first Jungle Madness Friday.

It’s where you get the chance to win goodies from one of the monkeys. Today is Carly’s Friday and don’t worry, no joke gifts or bananas! I’m giving away something everyone was fighting over on my Carly fan loop (you can join the fan group directly at my website, www.carlyphillips.com). We’ll pick a winner from today’s comments to win a DIGGER the dog who stars in my summer hardcover CROSS MY HEART along with an Advanced Reading Copy of both CROSS MY HEART and HOT ITEM. The ARC’s aren’t signed but if you want to mail them to me, I’ll be happy to sign and send back or just mail you two autographed bookplates. GOOD LUCK!

Weekends are always active here in the jungle so be sure to stop by for MONKEY MISHMASH, where the monkeys go wild. You’ll find out the winner of Jungle Madness as well as what’s on our minds at any given moment!

In my opinion, CROSS MY HEART is Carly’s best book to date. It’s such an emotional story! I just know her readers will love it! Hey, Kelly–no shyness allowed around here! We don’t bite! Well, unless you’re made of chocolate, apparently! (See yesterday’s comments!)

Okay…gotta ask…what is this icon (~) supposed to be? I’ve been wondering all week. A bandaid? A chocolate bar? A cell phone?

Good Morning,
Just swinging into the jungle. It took me a while but I made it. I had to go buy my Tarzan some food for his treehouse. :d Talking about chocolate bars I also bought for myself a Lindt 70% cocoa Dark Chocolate bar while I was at the grocery store this morning. I gotta take care of the Jane is me too.

Thanks Julie, I promise to participate more. I did read yesterday’s post by the way. But like I said the shyness got the best of me. Now that I have my feet wet posting I am sure I will be posting regularly now.

And FYI, I do keep a chocolate “stash” on my nightstand with my books and remote control. So I can unwind after chasing my two year old all day and reward myself with a bit of heaven. But I am by no means made of chocoalte. LOL!

My vote for the icon in question is a piece of film. It looks like a piece of a negative from my old 35mm camera.

Oh my god, that puppy is soooo cute. (& Digger is absolutely adorable and I can’t wait to read about his adventures in Cross My Heart. I definitely echo everyone’s emotions on how cool this is. This might be my last swing thru the jungle today. Between the internet constanly disconnecting (grrrr) and my neice’s b-day party (^) this
afternoon I’m fixing to have to get very mobile and use some of that very expensive gas and run some errands.

I bet Carly is on the phone talking to Janelle while she is pulling through a Starebucks right about now. I love the cute little monkey pictures that the authors choose to represent them in their jungle.

Hi, all. SO glad you came by! Thanks for the compliments, I’m blushing! I’m glad you love Digger. He’s very special to me. It’s been a rough week for me, w/a long migraine that won’t go away, so I hope to post a lot more next week. I’m back from the family b-day party.

Carly, I’m so sorry to hear you still have a migraine. I get them more often the older I get. I cometimes feel like I wish someone cut just cut off my head it hurts so much. I take my medicine for them but usually I have to have my husband massage my scalp and pull out the big professional massager and go over my back and shoulders. I hope you feel better soon.

Hi, Gigi. Thanks for the pity on the migraine. I’d love to just cut the head off. Great description, you know? Cold wash cloths and somethign called Migraine Ice helps too … I’m past the meds doing anything. Just have to let it run its course. Unfortunately it’s also raining today, which as you probably know, means the barometric pressure will kill my head. So not better yet.
