Janelle’s Jungle Madness Friday!

Janelle Icon

It’s Jungle Madness Friday!!! With October being Breast Cancer Awareness month, I wanted to giveaway something special that would remind the winner of the power of breast cancer awareness. With that in mind, I’m giving away a beautiful Brighton “Power of Pink” charm bracelet ($50.00 value).

Each year, Brighton specially designs a new Breast Cancer Awareness bracelet to help raise money that goes to various breast cancer charities. A portion of the purchase price of the bracelet is donated, and last year they helped to raise over $615,000 with the sale of these bracelets. This year, Brighton has truly outdone themselves in creating a charm bracelet that features sparkling pink aurora borealis Swarovski crystals and charms that are inscribed with empowering messages such as: “Accept”, “Trust”, “Love”, “Heal”, and “Be The Inspiration”. This “Power of Pink” charm bracelet also has a heart locket where you can tuck a photo of a loved one inside.

Winner will also receive their choice of book from Janelle’s backlist (depending on availability of book), along with other fun promotional goodies.

All you have to do to enter this contest is post on today’s blog. Winner will be announced on Sunday, so be sure to stop by over the weekend to check and see if you’re the winner!

  4. ooh, what a great prize! I’ve always loved charm bracelets. When I was young, my mother bought me a bracelet and every year for my birthday, she would give me a charm to add to it. Each one had a special meaning. I still have it today and it’s fun to look at each charm and be reminded of what interests I had at that time. I really don’t remember reading as a teenager, but one of the charms is a book so I must have. That’s one thing that has remained in “my blood” as they say. lol

  14. Gorgeous bracelet! Are these available at all Brighton Stores, Janelle? As I’m sure I won’t win (I never win anything) I may try to go buy my own. My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer this year. Luckily, they caught it very early and she’s doing well now. It’s hard to believe that 1 of every 4 Americans (or something like that) will have some form of cancer in their lives. I think it is great that you are bringing awareness to this issue.

  16. What a wonderful prize.

I just had my mammogram on Wednesday. It is the second one I’ve ever had done.
I nearly had a full blown panic attack by the time it was over.
My first mammogram they had to cll me back because of somehting they thought they saw. They called on a Friday couldn’t do a retake until Tuesday the next week. It ought to be illegal to call and scare someone on a Friday.

Anyway turned out to be nothing but a very tiny cyst. I think that is why I was panicking this time. I wish they could give you instant results. :doggie:

  20. As always, you have touched upon an issue that touches so many lives. After my one scare I live with a little bit of panic residing in the back of my brain that asks the questions What if “next time” what if I’m not so lucky? That’s why every day is a great day! I make it so.

So, have a great day everyone…….

I’m not hiding for this one I’d love to be able to proudly wear the bracelet so I could answer ???s for people if they ask what it’s about.Yoo Who, here I am. Hmmm back list I’d pick either “ultimate seduction”or “wicked seduction” books. (I have read most of Janelle’s books.) So when I went to bed and turned the nite :lightbulb:on I could read one of my very favorite authors books that I haven’t yet read. This is a terrific :present: and if I don’t win I’ll for the winner but I’ll be:cry: on the inside. :love2:

LADIES GET THOSE MAMMOGRAMS ONCE A YEAR! NO SKIPPING EITHER.

AN ANNUAL EXAM IS TRULY THE SECRET TO SUCCESS.

LUMPS FOUND AT ANNUAL MAMMO OFTEN MAKE FOR EASIER TREATMENTS

SKIPPING JUST ONE CAN LEAD TO VERY SERIOUS ISSUES

SCHEDULE THEM AROUND YOUR BIRTHDAY.YOUR PRESENT TO YOU!

  42. Janelle,

Great prize for a great cause count me in

I had a mammo done last year and they called me to come back and that’s all they would tell me over the phone. I had to wait a whole week to get it done again and all it was that they didn’t get a good picture on one boob probably because I am well endowed and this time around they really squished me UGH. I even called my Dr. and he knows how I am so he had his nurse call the lab and ask why they wanted me to return, but I was still scared

  53. Beautiful bracelet and a great cause. Thanks Janelle for bringing more awareness to breast cancer. We hear it a lot this month but it can never be talked about too much. There’s a website thebreastcancersite.com that will fund free mammograms to those in need if you go to their website and click the fund box once a day. It’s a easy way to help.

  85. Wow, so many comments. Does anybody see me down here? I’m a six year breast cancer survivor and I’d love to wear that bracelet. I always do what I can for breast cancer awareness in October. This year I donated to Susan G. Komen, posted two bulletins in MySpace (one for the breast cancer site and one for the Lifetime site) and purchased the Hard Rock breast cancer guitar pin. KUDOS to Brighton! I’d feel very fortunate to win the “Power of Pink” charm bracelet. Thanks. :love2:
