LOVE musicals. My favorite: Beauty and the Beast :-) Have fun!!
I LOVE musicals. Coming to NYC to see Once in April. Picking my favorite is so hard. Loved Wicked, phantom, Le Miz, but think I have to go with Rent. Have seen it so many times beginning the first year it came out.
Les Miserables! Of all the musicals I have seen.
My favorite musical will always be Brigadoon. No one does it like Gene Kelly and Cyd Charisse. Of course, My Fair Lady probably comes a close second. =o)
TGIF! Hope your daughter has a great time. I really enjoyed seeing Hello Dolly!
I grew up watching musicals – my father used to teach HS music & directed musicals every spring. Hard to pick a favorite. Maybe Oklahoma. Good luck to your daughter & have a great week-end!
I love musicals – so many favorites.Evita, Man of La Mancha, Camelot, Rent, Wicked, Caberet, Phantom of the Opera, Les Miz and many more.
Happy Friday
Love musicals
The Phantom of the Opera , Mamma Mia, The King and I….
i was in the musicals in high school way back in the day.
Good luck Julie to you and your daughter.
Love musicals!!! Favorite, wow. Maybe Wicked or Camelot or Man of LaMancha or . . . Too many to pick just one. Good luck to your daughter. My daughter has acted, directed and produced musicals since she was in 3rd grade. So I understand your situation. Enjoy yourselves.
I love musicals!!! So many favorites, but would have to say Wicked is my current favorite.
Little Shop of Horrors. While the music isn’t really memorable like some songs from Cats, Phantom or other shows, it’s bouncy music and off kilter story appeals to me.
Chicago – it was wondeful.
Beauty and the Beast
Wicked! I love musicals!
I am a huge musical nerd! It is hard to pick favorites. West Side Story and Rent for sure and also Jersey Boys since it was the last musical I saw with my dad before he passed.
Love musicals..Cats, Lion King…but my very favorite was seeing Yul Brynner in The King and I
Sound of Music, Phamtom of the Opera, My Fair Lady, Les Miserable, Carmen, The Unsinkable Molly Brown, Mary Poppins…clearly, I have many favorites
Enjoy The show. Tell your daughter I said “break a leg.”

The recent Les Miserables musical movie was pretty good.
Broadway, I would say Wicked or Phantom of the Opera. Once is awesome also. Just returned from NYC where I saw 6 shows in 5 days with sister.Film would be Seven Brides for Seven Brothers and My Fair Lady!
I dont tend to watch or go see musicals. No reason why I just haven’t gotten in to them. Well unless you count Grease. You know the origanal one. Is that a musical?
I love The King and I with Yul Brynner. And does My Fair Lady with Audrey Hepburn count?
Strangely enough I feel like I don’t know many musicals. Oh Guys and Dolls! Marlon Brando!
Have a great weekend everyone!
The Music Man is my favorite and I enjoy musicals which are lovely.
Jersey Boys. Love the music. Love the voices. Even love the outfits.
Phantom of the Opera, of course!
Lois
Tell her to break a leg!
Wow. So many to choose from! Singing In the Rain, Guys and Dolls, Oklahoma (the Hugh Jackman version! :inlove: ). It would be easier to name the ones I didn’t enjoy. :P

My favorite musical is Grease! I’ve seen it about 10 times already!
Respect A Musical Journey of Women was AWESOME! I have seen many others and can honestly say that there have been very few that I have not liked. There is just something special about song.
Wishing everyone a weekend with a happy ending!
Honestly, I don’t know whether or not I liked Musicals. The only one I’ve seen was in middle school of The Wizard of Oz and I Loved it! I think I would really enjoy them. We have the Muny here. It’s an outdoor theater and I would consider going but it is so Hot here in the summer. You know I think I’ve been there one other time as a teenager but I can’t remember what I saw, but there was another time that I seen Cats when I was 14 and I didn’t care for that. So I’m really not sure. I think it would make a difference what it was about. I’d love to see Grease the Musical!!!
Thanks for the contest every week!
I’m not big on musicals, but I do love The Sound of Music.
Love, love, love musicals! Can’t pick just one as I really love them all, well mostly! Sound of Music, Singin’ in the Rain, Brigadoon, Holiday Inn & White Christmas, Royal Wedding, West Side Story, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. I really could go on & on. The more I sit here thinking about musicals the more that pop into my mind!! How about South Pacific, The King and I, Grease, Hello Dolly, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.
Enjoy your daughter’s musical. Let us know how it goes.
Everyone have a great weekend! :flag: :flag: :flag: :flag:

Not a big fan of musicals, but I do like the music from Rent.
Chicago is one of my favorite! I hope you enjoy if you’re seeing one
:bananaangel:

I love musicals. Among my favorites, Sound of Music, Gigi, Beauty and the Beast, Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella. Good luck with the show this weekend.
West Side Story is my favorite!
Boy, it’s difficult to pick just one! The only one I’ve actually seen live is Cats and I thought it was great. All of the others have been movies/dvds. The older ones are the best, but I did enjoy Chicago and Burlesque.
I have never seen one.
I like Oklahoma, Annie Get Your Gun, Molly Brown, Singing in the Rain, the King and I, and The Sound of Music.
I haven’t been to any so couldn’t honestly say…
Grease is my favorite.
Thanks for the giveaway.
Tell your daughter to break a leg! I love musicals – from the oldies like White Christmas and Singin’ in the Rain to Mamma Mia, The Lion King, High School Musical and Wicked.
Haven’t seen any live musicals. My favorite film musical, believe it or not, is Bye Bye Birdie. Haven’t seen it in a while but I watched it whenever it was on when I was growing up.
That is a hard question because I like so many! Singing in the Rain, The Phantom of the Opera, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Mamma Mia, and Chicago are just a few.

I have never seen a musical ~ Have a great weekend!
I love The Sound of Music
I have seen everything from Spam-a-lot to Cats to Phantom to Menopause the Musical (and that is one to go see if you ever get the chance!) I even got to see Sammy Davis Jr. in a musical called Stop The World I Want To Get Off, but seeing Patrick Swayze in a production of Chicago was the best!
Hope you guys have fun i hate musicals. I think i just really hate the type of music most have in it ,but who knows maybe if i found one with a subject i like i might change my mind.
My favorite musical is Don Quixote. I can’t help but love it because any man who only sees the beauty of a woman and dismissing all her “lesser” qualities is the type of man we all deserve in our lives!
Forget to make dinner – no problem. Made bad choices in your past – he doesn’t care. So give me a man like Don Quixote any day after all who among us has lived a life without faults and mistakes.
Think about it he even would sing to you and who among us wouldn’t smile if he showed up at their house and sang The Impossible Dream while gazing at you with a smile on his face and meant ever word he sang!
Now if I could just convince my husband to be a little more like Don Quixote maybe he would make dinner for a change – and even do the dishes!
Musicals are awesome, what’s not to love? So many to name but obviously Les Mis is one. I haven’t seen the movie yet (I know, what’s wrong with me??) but I will soon. And I love the music in Rent!! So many others but those are the ones that come to mind right away.
Crybaby! I love Johnny Depp
I grew up with the 33 record of Music Man playing all the time. It’s still my favorite!
Have fun at your daughter’s musical! I for one love them. Who doesn’t love all the great songs. Some of my favorites Phantom, West Side Story, Sound of Music. Hard to choose just the one.
Oh my gosh, musicals are my favorite! My girlfriend and I go all the time. We have seen Phantom of the Opera, Wicked(In Chicago it was fabulous!), Joseph(with Donny Osmond!sigh..), Rock of Ages(Hot Stuff!), Spamalot(with David Hyde Pierce), Chicago, Grease, West Side Story, Oklahoma, Nunsense just to name a few. We have seen so many great musicals! We saw most of them in Chicago and they are just fabulous! Going to musicals is my favorite hobby! :dancebanana:
I like the original Hair Spray with Ricki Lake.
LOVE – The Sound of Music!
Phantom of the opera,
Great prize, thanks :yourock  :irish2:
Hairspray!
Oooh, that’s a hard one, definitely film but I’m conflicted between my child-like nature of Dr. Seuss’s The Lorax(2012) and my darker nature of Repo the Genetic Opera. They’re both good and I completely blame the boyfriend for my like of repo the genetic opera
The Music Man is one of my favorites.
phantom of the opera
I hope your daughter’s musical turned out GREAT and that everyone had a good time.
My favorite musical is WICKED. I’ve seen it only twice.
I not sure exactly what it is about the musical. I just love it.
I got to see several musicals in NYC last year and Newsies was great as was Peter and the Starcatchers. My daughter is a musical theater major so I get to hear lots of singing of Broadway songs!
I know I’m late, but my favorite is Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat!
I could watch it over and over! Break a leg and have a great weekend
I’m ok with musicals. More so when I was younger. I was in choir so we sang about Cats, west side story, grease. We did go see a few musicals like the lion the witch and the wardrobe, Oklahoma. I would say Oklahoma was to me the best.
Sound of Music!
Love them all!! last on I saw was Phantom. Would love to see Wicked!! Have a great weekend all.
There are a lot of great musicals out there, but one of my favorites is Oklahoma!
Love musicals, Phantom of the Opera is one of my favorites. :snoopy:

I love musicals and most any music!! I just don’t think I can pick a favorite. I would love to come to NYC and see a musical on Broadway. That is in my bucket list!!

I love musicals and still need to catch Les Miserables! Happy St. Pats Day!
Loved the music man and Oklahoma!
I don’t usually watch musicals. Not sure why. Have a great weekend
:irish2:
Seven Brides for Seven Brothers & the Kind & I.
I love them. Chicago, Les Miz, A Chorus Line, Joseph. There are so many.
Seven Brides for Seven Brothers was good, Oklahoma and more current Grease are also good. Of course some might consider some of the Elvis Presley movies as musical as there was usually alot of singing in them!
I loved Mama Mia! the music is so much fun.
We’ve seen Mamma Mia twice on stage and several times as a movie…
My favorite is PHANTOM OF THE OPERA!!! I love, love love it!!!
I don’t hate musicals, but I’ve just never really been enthralled with them. I guess the one I like the most would have to be The Sound of Music, but it’s been years since I’ve seen it and I saw it enough as a kid that I dont really have any pressing desire to watch it again soon. Maybe in another decade or two
I love musicals…probably the Sound Of Music is my favorite!
My favorite is GREASE. I’ve always loved it, always will.
Absolute favorite=Phantom Of the Opera!
I love musicals the story told through songs. I’m amazed at the singer/actor’s talent.
Jesus Christ Superstar, Camelot, Across the Universe, Beauty & the Beast, Rent, Mama Mia, West Side Story, Mary Poppins, Lion King, Grease, The Sound of Music, Peter & the Wolf, A Funny Thing Happened On the Way to the Forum, Funny Girl, Annie Get Your Gun, South Pacific, Miss Saigon
Entering a new school, Milam, for sixth grade in September 1946, Presley was regarded as a loner. The following year, he began bringing his guitar in on a daily basis. He played and sang during lunchtime, and was often teased as a “trashy” kid who played hillbilly music. The family was by then living in a largely African-American neighborhood.^`
Till next time
