The hubby and I dropped off kids at school and then went out for a lovely breakfast. During breakafast he apologized for not getting me flowers, card or a gift. I told him its okay since I know he’s been super busy with work. As long as we spent the day together. After breakfast he told me that he had to pick up a part for his dad in the city. I told him its fine I will tag along. It was a beautiful sunny warm day in San Francisco. As we drove on this street had pink & red balloons attach to each parking meter. It was so cute seeing pink & red balloons bobbing all the place. Next thing I see is he’s parking right across my favorite jewelery store Alex & Ani. They are made in America cute bangles. He turn to me and said “Surprise! I really didn’t need to pick any part just used that as an excuse”. He got me good! I picked out to bangles one that said LOVE and Cupid’s Heart. The rest of the day consisted of grocery shopping, after school pick up, homework & pizza with the kids. It was a lovely day! I love that man!!

Our son will be at grandmom’s for an overnight so my husband and I have a date tonight.

    TRICIA says:

    Lets see!!!Hmmm
My 12 year old decided to take a shower and locked the front door with the key lock and the chain lock. When I got home I couldn’t get in the house. After 5 minutes of yelling for him to open the door and ring the door bell, I started to get nervous. I started to bang on the door and pulled a part of the door frame from the wall to get in. Hubby came home and had a fit that i screwed up the door frame and locked him self in the bedroom. 12 year old tells me he doesn’t feel well and has had a sore throat for the last few days. 2 hours later Hubby finally comes out of the bedroom, I grab my purse and cell phone (learned my lesson not to put my purse in the bedroom) and took 12 year old to the walk in clinic.

Finally I come home shower and make myself a Valentine’s dinner (peanut butter and jelly) and then 12year old tells me he needs a report typed.

    I didn’t even get a card or a verbal Happy Valentine’s day. :(

    Hi Carly!

Our 43rd Anniversary was on the 7th right before the blizzard struck and every year we plan a special dinner at home to celebrate Valentine’s Day but life got in the way this year when my husband was rushed to the hospital after shoveling 3 feet of snow.

He ended up needing to get two stents in his heart and as it happened he ended coming home on Valentine’s Day. Our dinner that night ended up being the best one ever because it made us both realize how fortunate we are that for one more year we were able to celebrate Valentine’s Day together. Since we had married when he was serving in the Navy during Vietnam for years we hadn’t realized that even now that the one you love can be taken from you in the blink of an eye and how fortunate we are to still be together after all these years.

But it worked for us! I hope everyone had a great Valentine’s Day and a wonderful holiday weekend!
