I’m glad that yesterday is over. My little kitten was spayed and I was so nervous. I am totally crazy about her and didn’t want her to have to go through this. I’m happy to say that she did very well and is sleeping today. The funny part was when we were leaving her at the clinic and the nurse knew I was nervous. She assured me that the vet had done thousands of spays and neuters over the 40 years he had worked there and she had assisted in many of them herself. That’s when my husband piped up and told the entire room that yes, the vet had done his surgery too! Everyone in the room started laughing and it helped to diffuse the tense moment.

Oh yeah it’s Friday and i finally remembered to check my mail on Friday morning instead of saturated after midnight so maybe I’ll get lucky today. I also started a blog on WordPress,not sure where that’s going but if it does well and I can afford to pay for the full court press, I want to start putting book reviews on there too. My “monkeys” are always wonderful reads and I’ve read so many that I am way behind on reviews on Amazon and I apologize for that but i never hesitate to recommend any of you!

So happy a new month has started as we’re now one month closer to Summer! Have to go grocering this weekend and then lots of reading as I’m not a fan of the Super Bowl and will avoid watching it at all costs.
Staying inside today, but out tomorrow night – friend’s wedding reception and another friend’s gig. Friends are great….

I am having a wonderful friday- it’s cold and blustery and I have good books and a wood stove fire going! It’s beautiful!

As hard as I’ve tried, my teenager has the flu! We are on day two and she is feeling a bit better but still has body aches and fever. Hubby will be home tomorrow during the day and I think I’m going to lock myself in the bathroom with a HOT bubble bath, good coffee, and a good book for an hour or two!

Wacky weather here. It’s be 78 degrees and 23 degrees this week, Now my poor daughter has that stomach virus.

Oooo….I definitely don’t want a Barnes and Noble gift card. I heard they are closing a whole bunch of stores. I just know that they one near me is closing. I can feel it! So sad! I am going to miss the bricks and mortor bookstores in the future.
