My sister and I are going to do some female bonding by going to Sams Club using a visitor’s pass. We usually go once a year when they have the pass (with 10% markup on your purchase) because there isn’t one conveniently close and we “share” a Costco membership, which we both pass daily going to our jobs.

I’m going to the eye doctor this afternoon so they can order my new contacts. Tomorrow is 5k training and catching up on blogging and reviews.
Our kids have basketball games Saturday morning and then the rest of the weekend is totally open…which is rare! I see us watching movies, putting out Christmas decor and maybe starting our Christmas cards.
:partygroup: We are going to cut wood Sat. bring it home for are wood stove. Sounds like fun doesn’t. Put it in the dry.
Taking my nieces to the local Christmas parade. I’m a little scared since no one is stroller age anymore.

This weekends kicks off the holiday season in our family. We’ll be putting up the tree & decorating inside & out. Youngest has her first holiday choir performance, after which we plan to attend a few local holiday craft shows. I’m hoping to squeeze in a little reading time. I have a few books to finish before I’m completely swamped by holiday craziness!
I’m going to a Tastefully Simple Party, I’ll be reading and I’ll be watching the Patriots on Sunday. Full weekend. :-)
Christmas decorating – if I get the house cleaned first!
Grocery shopping and laundry on Saturday; visiting two BFFs 2.5 hours away all day Sunday (with tons of laughing and discussion about books involved).

# 2 and # 3 daughters cheer for boy’s basketball so we have 2 games this weekend. On Saturday we are decorating the outside of the house for Christmas since it is suppose to be in the 50′s!

I like to do as much online as I can to save the madness in the stores. I am halfway through the Christmas cards and have bought a few gifts. I know that when I start to wrap gifts, my kitten will be right by my side “helping” me! ;-)

I went to a charity all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner for Home Town Heroes! Spaghetti, salad, bread sticks and cookies. Really great group of people but I mentioned the food because I HATE spaghetti! I have been to 4 such dinners this year – LOL. We aren’t rich and we aren’t wonderful people – we just do what we can for the causes that are important to us. I have another spaghetti dinner next week – -LOL- good thing the husband likes it. As for me, salad, sauce and bread sticks. Happy weekend!

This weekend, we’re painting our main bathroom and, hopefully – weather permitting, putting up our outdoor Christmas lights. We’re way behind this year since we’re trying to update our house some. I hate painting… it’s such a mess… but it’ll look so good when it’s done! Yay!

Saturday is the annual cookie baking day. Grandma, daughters and all the nieces gather for a marathon cookie baking day. We make 10 or 12 different types of cookies and 4 or 5 kinds of candy anf fudge all to give away to co-workers , family and the elderly who might not get any Christmas treats.
We are having that rarest of occasions, rain in Southern California. So I’ll be staying off the sidewalks, because most people here are clueless when it comes to driving in the rain!
Going to relax and recharge.

It is the countdown to Christmas and so many things going on. I love this time of the year! Almost finished with Christmas shopping and will finish up decorating the house outside and finish the tree today. Then sit back and enjoy Christmas get-togethers with friends and family, school and church programs for grandson and the Nutcracker with granddaughter and daughter-in-law. Happy December everyone. Got a nook yesterday and frustrating trying to get the transfer to nook from the d/l. Hate it when stuff doesnt work the way it is supposed to and directions don’t turn out how they are pictured on the computer. GRRRR.
It’s crunch time for me…and here I thought I was done with school..2 more weeks of school and I’ll have a 3 week break..can’t wait to do some pleasure read..I hope my brain is willing to take it in..
