There’s a $20 Amazon or Barnes & Noble gift card for one lucky commenter who answers this question…which holiday do you like best…Halloween, Thanksgiving or Christmas?
Also, my short story, HOW YOU REMIND ME, is up for .99 on Amazon for your Kindle or Kindle app. It’s about 10,000 words, very sexy, but a short little read that so far, has gotten great reviews. If you’re interested, check it out! There are a lot of shorts available for that price through the Indie Book Blowout.

I love Christmas the best! I love the decorating..the baking…the buying special gifts for family and friends and especially having the whole family together.
My favorite is Christmas, I just love the joy in the kids faces. But I do love the Thanksgiving shopping. I recently bought How You Remind Me, haven’t read it yet. Do I need to read th GUY MOST LIKELY first? Have got that book yet?
Mel
Christmas is my favorite. I love the baking and buying/making gifts and the chance of snow!!! :snowing:
I enjoy the whole season, where we each focus a bit more on helping others whether it is clothing drives or donating to the food bank, etc, we all come together during that time of year.
Happy Friday Everyone! Enjoy the weekend.
I also have to agree with Christmas because I also love to see how happy my children get when they open their gifts. But Halloween is a very close second. How many other times in our lives as adults are we allowed to dress up like complete morons and act like kids again? Not very often
Christmas is my favorite even though it’s a rush of madness!!!
I loved Thanksgiving. Happy Friday!
I love all the holidays but Christmas is my favorite.
Thoughts and prayers go out to all the people suffering the aftermath of Sandy.
:winner: Thanksgiving! There is no pressure of the right costume or gift and you get yummy food and good company. :flag: :flag:
I love Thanksgiving. It is just all about family, good food, and fun. I love Christomas too, but there is just so much stress wrapped up in it.
So, Thanksgiving is my favorite!
I hope everyone has a great weekend.
I will have to go with Christmas since that is the time we can all get together. I love all holidays I am not working.
I’ll go along with the majority. Christmas beings out the best in most people. Love the baking!!!
:applause: My vote goes to Thanksgiving.
I love Christmas. We not only get to give and receive presents, but we are also celebrating the birth of Jesus. I love watching my nieces and nephews open gifts. Plus there is a lot of Christmas shows and a lot of baking going on at that time of the year.
Thanksgiving is my favorite among the three, but I also really like Christmas for the long vacation that I get.
I used to love Christmas, but I am a Thanksgiving fan these days. All of the focus is on family and food and counting my blessings.
Thanksgiving is my favorite because you get together and have a great meal and don’t have to worry about presents.
Since I like all of them for various reasons, looking at it from the way it was asked – Thanksgiving. You just can’t commercialize it!
Lois
I like both Christmas and Thanksgiving equally. Its the food.
I loved Thanksgiving & Christmas when all the family could get together. As the years have passed and we’re not close enough anymore to get together, the holidays are a lot quieter. Since we’ve also downsized, we no longer decorate at Christmas as we used to since there isn’t room for a tree. I still love the holidays but they’re much different w/o family!
Christmas for sure! I love the shopping, giving and get togethers. The whole month before puts me in a wonderful mood. I’m just in the spirit of giving.
Thanks for the giveaway. Good Luck everyone!
Christmas!
My favorite is Christmas. It seems to last much longer than a day.
Everyone, stay safe and warm wherever you are.
Well, if I ever got any trick or treaters, I’d say Halloween. Since that doesn’t seem to be an option any more. :angryred: I’ll go with Thanksgiving for the great food with less of the insanity of Christmas.
Halloween is also The Only’s birthday time. Thanksgiving is turkey sandwiches and football. Christmas is shopping and crowds, though it’s also baking and I do enjoy that! I’m going to cop out and say Valentine’s Day! :rotfl1:
while I love the christmas holiday season, my favorite holiday day is thanksgiving. it was always the best chance for the whole family to gather together, plus my b-day is around it so made it extra good for me ;)
Every holiday is unique and special but Christmas is the best! Hope all is doing well! Happy Friday!
:grouphug: while on this day, I am sending prayers to those suffering in New York & New Jersey…God Bless you. I cannot get over the fact that they’re running the marathon w/city setting up food/water trucks for the runners while people nearby are hungry, thirsty, etc. So since I cannot send anyone water or food myself, I have donated what I can to MERCURY ONE who are raising money for donations to be delivered to the churches there since neither FEMA nor the Red Cross has made it there yet. Please, check out this fantastic charity on their website.
Julie, the ebook does sound quite interesting & I may just get it to relax some later tonight.
Everyone please be safe and have a nice weekend
:praying:
Christmas is my favorite.I love decorating the house.Baking.Being with Family.
Have a great weekend everyone
Thanksgiving.
Christmas, because it’s such a special day–we’re celebrating the birth of Love, of where it all begins :happybd:
:bananaangel: I most love celebrating Christmas. Happy Friday, all.
:flowers4you: Thanksgiving is my favorite. I love the big family dinner. :grouphug:
:hallpir: Halloween is my favorite. Less stress.
I love Christmas but there is the pressure of gifts, food and decorating-Thanksgiving is family time a little easier for me
Halloween is my favorite holiday now. I like the candy corn and candy pumpkins.
Just light hearted fun.
Christmas once was my favorite but the family stress of Thanksgiving and Christmas makes me a nervous wreck by the time the holidays are over.
Christmas…it is exhausting, it is stressful, and it is closely tied to a culture of consumerism. Yet, it is the one time of year when the family tries hard to come together for the holiday. People can sing in the streets. You feed your family huge meals to show your love. You watch the same old movies together. In the end, Christmas is about family and love to me.
Thanksgiving. My favorite. Have a wonderful weekend.
Christmas is my favorite. I love having the week off from work to spend time visiting the extended family and relaxing at home in front of the fireplace with my hubby.
Hmmmm, well I love Halloween, but if I truly had to choose a fav, it would be Christmas! Have a wonderful weekend all! :D
As a kid it was Halloween as it was the only time we got candy…my parents didn’t have the money for it in the budget, sigh. Our Halloween candy had to last all year. As an adult it’s hands down CHRISTMAS. I love the giving to others, sharing the reason for Christmas, Jesus birthday, to everyone I meet, the decorations, atmosphere, the whole package
Halloween for the books and movies and scarey things on TV so thats it for the entertainment holiday.
Christmas though for everything else.
Halloween!
I love Christmas! I love the decorations, the baking, the food, the family and of course the presents. I love it when my kids get something they have asked for all year and are thrilled by it. Just the look on their faces is worth it all.
Have a wonderful Weekend Everyone!!
Even with all the preperation involved, I still have to say Christmas is my favorite holiday in the year!
Thoughts and prayers to all suffering in any way from Hurricane Sandy!!!
I love Christmas because I get to see all my family.
I have to go with Christmas. I enjoy all the baking, decorating, and tv shows devoted to the holiday. It provides a great chance to bond as a family.
Thanks for the giveaway and the heads up about your book! Have a wonderful weekend!
I like Thanksgiving
Christmas. I love seeing the kids open their gifts.
Christmas. Or maybe an idealized version of Christmas where I don’t get stressed out and everyone’s happy.
Thanksgiving
Christmas because I get to see both sides of the family during this time.
Christmas is my favorite holiday. I love all the lights, decorations, and the movies and specials that come on then.
My would be Christmas because I love seeing the decorative Christmas lights, and decorations around the neighborhood or stores.
That’s a hard one… I guess Thanksgiving. I love to cook and this year I’ve treated myself to a new kitchen! So I’m looking forward to holiday cooking and baking starting just before T-day and continuing on through the Season. Since I have no small children or grandchildren, Christmas is quiet, a day to relax… something I don’t get to do very often anymore.
It’s Christmas!! I love Christmas!
:grouphug: To Everyone suffering due to Sandy. I hope help comes to you soon. Be safe.
My favorite! Halloween for fun! People in my area do a lot of outside decorating. Thanksgiving because it is family, friends & food. Christmas because people open their hearts more but I hate all the commercialism & the idiocy of “black Friday”!! So many talk about the stress of the Christmas holiday but that is because we do it to ourselves. We tend to expect it all to be perfect instead of focusing on the togetherness & sheer joy of it all. Sorry, I’ll climb down off my soap box now!!! :soapbox:
Have a wonderful weekend. :flag: :flag: :flag: :flag:
Thanksgiving because it isn’t about gifts or candy, it is just about spending quality time together as a family which is really the most important part. Plus the awesome food spread doesn’t hurt either =)
I love Christmas jsut for putting up a live tree and decorating it an dputting out all the Christmas past stuff and family…it makes me feel safe…
Donna
I love any holiday that involves decoratiing. But my favorite one is Christmas. I love the feeling it brings me when I am decorating, doing cards, gifts. Seeing the kids open gift there faces. Love it. It one holiday to get together and enjoy.
Christmas!! I love the food, the baking and seeing the faces when you find the perfect gift for loved ones!!
Christmas is my favorite :flag:
I would have to say Christmas :P
Christmas, although the dressing on Thanksgiving is probably my favorite holiday food. And getting to walk around in a costume is pretty cool too, for Halloween. I guess I just love any and all holidays!
Christmas!!!
Holidays are hard for me. My extended family is spread across the country so no more spending holidays with them. I’ve made do & make Thanksgiving & Christmas special for our small family when we can all be together. Thanksgiving was getting bad because my eldest daughter would be gone with her youth group at a retreat & take her brother as staff. So it became my hubby, me & youngest as younger daughter went to in-laws. Daughter no longer has that job, so maybe this year it will be better. We do Hanukkah instead of Christmas. We try to do a family dimmer of latkes but then again, it depends on the schedule. This year I am leaving my family on Christmas afternoon to go visit my 83 year old mom & spend some time with her.
I like Thanksgiving because it’s a nice time to stay at home and reflect with loved ones. Plus there’s football and food, so what’s not to love? :cooldance:
Christmas is my favourite.
Christmas – a day spent on the phone with family spread all over the states.
Christmas and Thanksgiving are my favorites. Friends, family, food and usually a little time to curl up with a good book. Hope everyone has a good weekend.
Thanksgiving is my favorite. I love being able to just spend time with the family. Hope everyone has a great weekend!
Mine is Thanksgiving
Halloween because my birthday is the day before
Christmas is my favorite, I love the lights, the smells, all of it.
I like Christmas the best.
I’d have to say Thanksgiving. Usually pretty laid back since we only have it with my immediate family.
FYI, How You Remind Me is an awesome read!!!
:snoopy: Christmas is my favorite because I love the beauty of the lights..the shopping and baking, the children and how happy they are.
CHRISTMAS!
Christmas is my favorite. All the baking.. :snowfight:
Christmas is my favorite. I love giving gifts and all the decorations!
Christmas hands down. I enjoy Thanksgiving- the cooking and then decorating for Christmas! But I enjoy Christmas and everything that goes with it. Now if I could have some snow in FL one year- it would be perfect!
TGIF everyone!
I love Christmas. The baking of christmas cookies and the gift giving to see the faces of family.
I like Christmas.
It would have to be Christmas for me. Love watching the kids. :yourock
It’s always been Christmas, but Halloween with a lot less fuss and muss is quickly overtaking it.
My absolute favorite is Christmas although I do enjoy the extra day off for Thanksgiving.
Happy Friday, Everyone!
Thanksgiving! Family, food, and, counting your blessings. Christmas has gotten too commercial-Christmas trees and music in September? Really? Ugh!
LindaC
Christmas is my favorite!
Christmas is my favorite!
Halloween! Sadly, i didn’t anything this year, but i love the costumes and all the decorations. I especially loved that everything was practically glitter themed this year. You can never go wrong with glitter in my book.
It’s got to be Christmas. Most people have a wonderful attitude change for Christmas. Family. The decorations. The hustle and bustle. The movies. And very important…the music. Love Christmas songs. Plus, look at all the Christmas romance books we get to read.
My favorite is Halloween, probably because of all the fun little people have with it.
Wishing everyone a weekend with a happy ending!
It has been a long week. I’m so glad it’s Friday. :threecheers
Christmas and Halloween are tied for me, both are so much fun! :grouphug:
I love Thanksgiving – it is about being thankful to God for all the good He has done. No hype, just simple thanksgiving.
Oh that is a hard one. Halloween is not my favorite, every year it seems less and less people take part in it, which makes it harder for me and my son to enjoy asking and giving out candy.
Now the hard part is picking between Thanksgiving and Christmas. I love cooking turkey and everything else for Thanksgiving but I will have to say Christmas. I love buying presents, checking off things off my family’s list and wrapping them up. I also love tricking them into thinking I got them nothing fancy or big. I love reaching under the tree and seeing all the happy faces. Yes Christmas is my favorite with Thanksgiving coming close behind.
:cooldance: :cooldance: Halloween is my fav! You get to dress up and get free chocolate, what’s not to like?
If my family actually go together and had traditional Thanksgiving food — we used to until the family got so big (grows quickly when grandparents had 7 children and all except 1 have 2-3 kids each, plus spouses or are in relationships, plus kids kids,ect….). No pressure of gift-giving or having the best/worst costume. It’s about family (unless you’re focused on Black Friday, in which case God bless your heart and good luck!), old (and sometimes new) friends and good eats!
I’m sooooo excited! I just can’t hide it!!!! I have a completely free weekend! I’ve been averaging about 60 hrs a wk and haven’t had a complete wkend off in 8 wks! I’m stayin home in the pjs, cuddlin’ w/ my dogs while reading and might shower Sunday night! Whoop whoop!
Ummm…. I secretly love Christmas and all the hoopla. I say this cuz I outwardly act indifferent and slightly indignant at the commercialization but I love the spirit, and movies and mayhem of the season!
Thanksgiving! No presents, no costumes, just a day to be Thankful for all Gods blessings.
I enjoyed your book. Thanks! Prayers to all the Sandy victims.
:P
:flag: I enjoy Christmas the best. Thankgiving is second. Have a good evening.
I love Christmas the best!
Xmas presets trees, family whoo
Grreatb prize thanks  :yourock
I love Christmas the most just love the lights and decoration :snowfight: and the colder weather.
Halloween is my favorite. I love the candy, fun costumes and scary movies on tv. :dart:
Christmas! Not just for the presents, I love getting together with all of my family over both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day
I still love Christmas best because i love making gifts to givd to my family.
Thanksgiving for me. We haven’t lived around family for years so friends gather together and we spend the time laughing, eating, talking, eating, laughing…you get the idea. It has always been a more “togetherness” holiday for me. But any day with good food, good friends is a great day!
I like Christmas the best!
I like Halloween best – I don’t have to cook a big meal or buy gifts for anyone, I love all the great decorations and costumes, it is the beginning of pumpkin everything, and my birthday is the next day. What could be better? :D
It is Christmas all the way….
Halloween is my favorite because it’s such a fun holiday.
Christmas is time to celebrate the birth of Jesus, so it is my favorite holiday.
Christmas. I love the lights, music, just everything about it.
Robin
I love hrstmas. Have a great weekend!
I like Christmas the best. I like the long lead up to the event that makes it more than just a one day holiday.
Thanksgiving is my favorite since it is less stressful and a time to be grateful.
I really love Christmas
I really love the Christmas. It’s the only time that I want it to snow. I deliberately only thing of the good in people and the good Christmases past. There is so much good done by people during this season. Yes, there is greed and avaricious but that is something my little Pollyanna self chooses not to dwell on.
Christmas is also my favorite holiday. Love the spirit of giving whether to family , friends, neighbors or charity. I love the pine smell of the tree after it is cut down. Every year we make decorating the tree a family get together. The kids love to argue about the placement of their ornaments. I like the Christmas CDs that we listen to for almost a month. Christmas books and movies too. Amazon makes shopping easier.
Hmm, Thanksgiving has no stress of decorating and shopping and I love the meal.
Christmas is wonderful to see my granddaughter opening her gifts, taking her to a Christmas show and seeing her enjoy the decorations.
Halloween I don’t care for at all; outside of seeing my granddaughter in her costume – this year we took her trick or treating on our block.
I love Christmas the best- just being able to celebrate the birth of Christ, having family over, giving/receiving presents, all the Christmas decorations/lights, plus that’s the one day that I love it when there’s snow.
My favorite holiday woulf have to be Thanksgiving. Love the family gathering. Halloween doesn’t doo it for me without little kids. Christmas is nice but the present giving can be frustrating at times.
:snowfight: I enjoy Christmas very much. The lights are so Nice to look at and they change the night into a little light.
Christmas is my favorite. I love to bake chocolate cherry cookies, listen to Christmas music, and put up Christmas decorations. I also love the time spent with family.
Halloween! But Christmas is pretty awesome!
I LOVE Chrsitmas more..way more friends and family gatherings..I love just being with the people who matter to me the most and having a GREAT PARTY. I also LOVE seeing my girl’s face come christmas morning. We always start our christmas morning off with a christmas breakfast and carols playing in the background makes for a WONDERFUL start to a busy day.
Well Halloween is the easiest holiday but I miss taking young kids around. Thanksgiving is a lot of cooking lol and there is a lot of stress to Christmas but really I enjoy them all.
I love Thanksgiving! All the great food especially the yummy turkey and the pumpkin pie! Afterwards we watch some football and have a nice nap!
” Sending some prayers to the man upstairs for the East Coast.”
Christmas is my fav. I love the whole season, and gives me the chance to spend time with my family. :snowfight:
:snowfight: Christmas… love the season, decorating, snow, family and friend gatherings, cookie baking and there’s always so many Holiday stories to read.
:flag: :flag: I like Christmas the best, Thansgiving next and then Halloween. To meny mean people on Halloween.
Throwing name in hat for an early birthday gift :D
Thanksgiving
My favorite is Thanksgiving
Happy weekend, since I didn’t post this on Friday. Like you, I saw Wreck-It-Ralph last night.
My favorite holiday is Christmas. I love all the decorations and people seem to be more nicer during Christmas season.
I would have to say Christmas because of my daughter :0)
Christmas is my favorite holiday, even though we don’t get to see our extended family much anymore. I still look forward to it every year.
Thanks for another opportunity to win a gift card. I hope you’re having a nice weekend.
My favorite holiday is Thanksgiving because of the food. I look forward to the feast we have every year with all our family and relatives. There are about 25 of us and we all bring something different. I love all the good food and good company!
Christmas is my second favorite holiday. Have a great weekend! :partyman:
Christmas is my favorite. It’s fun to receive gifts and feast on delicious food, but the spirit of giving is what makes it such a special time of the year.
I would have to say Thanksgiving. To me the holiday is more about family, it doesn’t have the focus of presents or trick or treating just eating and spending quality time with family members.
