It’s that time of year again, when TV rolls out new shows for the season — then it’s a wait-and-see to find out what shows make the cut, and which don’t. Â Every year I look forward to all the new Fall shows I get to choose from — and every year by the end of the season I’ve inevitably fallen in love with a new show . . . only for it to get the AXE!
I’m trying to be cautious this year, but already I’m invested in quite a few new shows. Â Some of my new favorites include:
1. Â 666 Park Ave. – where the residents of this complex have all made deals with The Devil to have their deepest desires fulfilled. Â So far, I’m intrigued!
2. Â Last Resort -Â This Shawn Ryan thriller starring Andre Braugher as the leader of a renegade submarine crew that goes on the run after defying an order to fire nuclear missiles. They find sanctuary at a NATO base where they declare themselves the world’s smallest nuclear nation. Â While I’m enjoying it so far, not sure if it has staying power!
3. Â Made in Jersey -Â Martina Garretti is a streetwise Jersey girl attorney trying to make it in a big-time Manhattan law firm. Â It’s fun and quirky.
4. Â Revolution -Â Set in a post-apocalyptic future where there is no electricity, the series stars a group of people struggling to figure out how the technology vanished and who holds the figurative power among the survivors. Â I’m really getting into this one!
I’m also looking for these soon-to-start Fall shows: Â Nashville, Chicago Fire, Arrow
So, what new shows are you watching and loving? Â Let me know so I can watch them, too!!!

My granddaughter got me hooked on Once Upon A Time last season and I am loving the new season as well. I love how the fairy tales merge with present day.
Good Morning,
I have enjoyed the new show Elementary. It has a unique twist to the Sherlock Holmes story. Two episodes in, and so far I like it. Nashville looks exciting too!
Happy Columbus Day Everyone! :flag:
All of my shows this week are on “hiatus” (it’s only been 2weeks!). Is 666 too scary ? It looks good, but it also looks scary (I don’t do scary). I’m looking forward to “Nashville”(the only new show I added). I’ve kind of stopped watching “Katie” regularly. My problem is that all of my new shows are daytime ones and they are all on at the same time. Now, I have to cut out shows.
The only new show I’m looking forward to is Chicago Fire. It’s one that’s close to my heart (my uncle was a firefighter, my youngest son is a volunteer fire fighter, and the mystery series I was writing with my uncle revolves around a fire department), so I’m really excited about it.
Other than that, I’m sticking with my old favorites: NCIS, NCIS LA, Hawaii Five-0, and The Mentalist.
I have added Last Resort, Made in New Jersey and Elementary to my line up. 666 and Revolution are on the DVR but haven’t watched yet. Looking forward to Arrow this week!! I am such a geek. And Nashville. I have also added a couple of the new comedies, like The New Normal, but we shall see what happens.
The Mob Doctor – but it’s on Monday nights on Fox opposite Major Crimes (love this show!!) and I don’t have DVR. I caught the first epi when it was replayed on a Saturday night. Seems good.
Made in New Jersey, Partners and Elementary have been added to my line up.
Looking forward to Arrow and Chicago Fire. I’m enjoying Revolution, for now. We’ll see if it has “legs.” Vegas is another show that I’m waiting to see about. They’ve got a lock on 1960 look and vibe. So far, so good. The one I’m mostly on the fence about is Elementary (new take on Sherlock). There’s a lot of room to fail with it.
My husband and I watched 666 Park Avenue and are really intrigued. Looking forward to more. Of course, I’m back with my favorite Dexter. Cannot wait for Mad Men either. Love all this stuff.
I tried watching 666 Park Avenue but found myself not following it & getting side tracked by something else. Doubt I’ll watch again. Last Resort seems like one I will keep watching but I really hate not knowing who the bad guy is!!! I’ve watched Made in Jersey, which is okay, but I’d really rather they put NCIS NY back in that time slot!! I do want to see Nashville but I’m almost ready to be disappointed because of all the ads & the hype! I hope to be pleasantly surprised. I’m sticking to most of my old favorites, DWTS, NCIS (which I haven’t seen yet this year due to DWTS), The Good Wife, Shark Tank, Blue Bloods there are more but I’ll stop now! Oh, I can’t leave out Castle. :D I do enjoy my nightly TV or a movie from Netflix!
I know, Donna…I am scared that “Nashville” won’t live up to the hype. I think they’ve shown us the whole show…kinda scared b/c I need a new drama in my line up.
I forgot to watch Made in Jersey on Friday, but will check on demand to see if I can catch up on it. Really like Elementary, and still on the line about 666 Park Avenue. I am excited for Nashville (where I live) and Chicago Fire. I’ll give Arrow a shot depending in what night it is on,
Enjoying “Revolution” and looking forward to “Arrow” when it starts.
Also started out watching X-Factor when they held the blind auditions but not sure if I will continue to watch it. Would love to watch “Once Upon A Time” but never seem to be free when it is on.
I added a LOT of new shows. Revolution we have to watch on demand because the TiVo is booked. It’s getting better. 666 was pretty good. I liked Last Resort a LOT, as well as The New Normal. I am looking forward to Arrow, Nashville and Beauty and the Beast.
