Way to Go! I was looking at the 5, but I can’t figure out why you can buy one from Apple for $199 but to just upgrade an eligible phone through the phone company it’s $499. This stuff baffles me.

How exciting! I’m a big phone nerd, and I LOVE the feeling when I’m about to get a new one. I don’t use phones very much for actual calls, but my phone satisfies a lot of my technological/reading/crafting/quick photography/musical needs, and I rarely (read: never) make it to the 2 year free upgrade date. It seems that just as I’m outgrowing the capabilities of one phone, a better one comes along. I’m an Android user, because I like to swap out roms and have an unhealthy degree of control over everything about my phone, but I really like how slick iPhones are.

I like for my phone to be a phone and my computer to be a computer but i too ,am being dragged ,kicking and screaming into that scary land called IPhoneland ,mainly because of being able to post pictures(better camera than i currently have!) but not right now because usually the first incarnations have the worst bugs!
I have no idea how I would handle all that technology on one small device. So confusing to me. :?
But, I hope you like it as much as they are predicting people will.

I’m not much of an iPhone fan (or any Apple product for that matter). The last Apple product I used was back in my early high school years and the Apple IIe’s
I think I will stick with my Motorola Droid Razr for the time being lol. I hope you get your phone earlier than you expect though :thumbsup:

Sorry to hear about your delay, Carly. If it makes you feel better, my husband’s iphone (because evidently, it’s a ‘corporate’ iphone) is being delivered to him today (although, he won’t be able to get it until Monday b/c he’s out of the office), whereas mine, b/c I am a bottom feeder won’t be delivered for awhile. It’s been ordered, just not in the first batch. whatever. I am a adult, but I still think that it’s silly and not fair.
Lawyer Guy and I are considering upgrading to the 5. The Only got a 4S replacement after her 4 was stolen. I have a 4. LG still has a 3. I think he’d like the bigger screen. We’ll wait until the hubbub dies down and can go into the AT&T store to check them out in person. We still have the original unlimited plan.
Mine has shipped too! But, I’m not sure when it will get her, it’s like a surprise.
At least it’s Friday.

My husband and son are happy iPhone owners and users. Unfortunately, I still only have what I call a Barbie phone, but one day, when I grow up, I’m going to get a Big Girl phone! ;)

I just upgraded my iPhone 4S to the latest OS6. Some of the stuff are pretty cool. So I’m contemplating hard if I should get the iPhone 5.

In fact thanks to all your readers as well who are tech savy and have all the new gadgets! You’ve made a Mom (me) very happy because my younger son is the manager for a large communications company! He still amazed that I not only don’t have a smart phone but I don’t have even a cell phone!
In fact I had to explain to my husband that I don’t want people to call me while I’m driving and if it’s important they’ll live a message on my answering machine and I’ll call them back. After all I’m probably reading at the time and want to finish the chapter of one of your books!

practically dragged into the electronic age! I just didn’t want to
bother with a cell phone. Two or three years ago, Honey finally
got us cell phones, gift wrapped them, and put them under the
Christmas tree. He knew I wouldn’t refuse a Christmas gift
from him! I’m still using the same phone and will until something
happens to it!

It’s disappointing, for sure. I have pre-ordered things & thought I would have it when it came out (books) and sometimes get it a week later. I could’ve bought it in the store the day it came out. I know the techie stuff doesn’t work that way. Well, you have 2 more days of anticipation!
