Aarrggh!!! Today is National Talk Like a Pirate Day! Don’t be a landlubber and tap into your inner buccaneer and give us a good shiver me timbers in your best pirate voice!

Seriously, though…nah, let’s not do seriously. It’s WEDNESDAY and there are free books to be had! A pirate speak to … speak. Tell me, who is YOUR favorite pirate?

The choices are legion. You can go classic with Captain Blood. You can go feminist and choose Grace O’Malley. You can appeal to your inner wench and choose Captain Jack Sparrow or Will Turner or bonny Elizabeth Swan. I’ve always been a fan of the pirate movie, but for today, I’m going to go with Han Solo. I’m in a galactic pirate kind of mood!

    Black Beard is the first pirate that comes to my mind because of some of the stories I read when I was younger.

    Jack Sparrow, would come in a close second..

    Aarrggh! I’ll go with Han Solo as well. He has been my favorite pirate since I saw the first movie at the drive-in. Jack Sparrow runs a very close second.

    :hallpir: Capt Crunch with crunch berries!!! Then Capt Morgan (the liquid one) then Capt Jack Sparrow. So that eat, drink and (lets hope) make merry!!!!

    I love pirates! Just came back from Disneyland trip with husband and daughters (ages 17 and 22). We rode Pirates of the Caribbean twice and then hummed the music for hours. They’ve re-done some of the pirates and the very last one you see is Johnny Depp’s Captain Jack Sparrow.
    Made me very happy. :D

    My brother-in-law has a birthday today and we all sent him piratey text messages. lol
    We gave him a pirate hat and a peg leg. :happybd:
