When we had our new roof put on last year our roofers weren’t here and started on the job until after 8 AM. It’s just common courtesy. :thumbsup:
:drama: In our neighborhood it is stated that you can’t make any noise until after 8am. Not everyone adheres to that rule (in fact I only had 45 minutes of sleep last night.) People need to be considerate of their neighbors, like you were by not starting a fight. Good luck today and try to get a nap later.
I have to agree that work should not start till 8 am but I know that is not always the case. The community we live in is still being developed and there are days when the construction crews are out here before the sun is even up. I understand sometimes they wanna get to work before the heat gets bad, but yeah when they are banging around at 6:30 am its too damn early!

Should totally wait until 8am or even 9. Very inconsiderate. Maybe the neighbor shoud have provided for the surrounding neighbors since they knew that the work was going to be starting so early. They should at least have warned you.
My town has a noise ordinance so contractors can’t make noise at 7 AM.
I completely agree with you on that. I am glad that I don’t have to worry too much about that. However, there are times when the hounds crew decide o’dark thirty is the time. Start working. This time is usually when I finally get a chance to sleep in. I wish I could tell them what time to start.

Well I love Monday today because…. IT MY BIRTHDAY!!

Out of consideration for the neighbors she could have given those close by a warning. Having friends in the contracting business, including my son in law, I know the men like to get started as early as possible due to heat at this time of year. Your neighbor could also have told the head person that they could not start until 8 am. After all, she is the one paying, therefore she has the say!
Someone in my apartment complex turns on a TV very loud, early in the morning. Sounds carries far, especially when it is quiet. Once that wakes me up I rarely get back to sleep!! One morning it happened at 5:30 am, boy was I ticked off! :hissyfit: There is no excuse for that. I haven’t complained to the management because I’m not sure it would do any good!!

They empty the dumpsters outside my building every single Saturday morning at 4:30 am. I’ve gotten used to it for the most part, but still wake up each time.

I do not like Mondays….last Monday was frustrating and this Monday I had to replace my car battery and I got pulled over. No ticket thank God but that was enough. Now I am off to bed and being thankful this Monday is over!!
I think 9 am is a good start time. I thinks that’s what our covalent says.
