What are you reading Saturday?
Janelle Icon

I just started Jill Shalvis’s new Harlequin Blaze, TIME OUT, and I’m enjoying it so far. But then again, I can always count on Jill to deliver a sexy, fun, emotional read, and I can see that TIME OUT is all that and more.

But once I’m done with Jill’s book, I don’t have anything in the que. What are you reading? And have you read anything really good lately that you’d like to recommend?

Janelle

JanelleJanelle Denison finds it hard to believe that it’s been nearly 25 years since she first started writing romance novels. At first, it was a way to pass idle time while her husband worked swing shift, but before long it became an obsession to get published. Luckily, she kept at it (it took her over 5 years to get that first book published!) and is now a Waldenbooks, Barnes & Noble, and USA Today Bestselling author! Now, after selling over 45 plus novels, she finds that her Plotmonkey pals help to keep her stories fresh and unique, and she can’t imagine writing a story without their input. Janelle lives in Oregon with her husband, Don, along with two teenage daughters that keep life interesting.

I have Jill’s latest Blaze too. I love them. That is how I fell in love with her style and voice. I haven’t started the Blazes of the Month yet, but I am reading Defender by Catherine Mann. I stopped reading for fun, so that I could use it as a reward for getting my comments and grades done. Still won’t be able to crack a book open until at least tomorrow. I am sooooo bummed about that. I also have Robyn Carr’s Redwood Bend in the line up. I finished Wynonna Judd’s Restless Heart, which surprisingly a good read. There’ s more, but I am not gonna list them yet. Maybe, if I get my work done I’ll pop back on and let you know what I am reading. Oh, Janelle, have you read Jill’s Lucky Harbor books? They are really AWESOME!!!!

    Peace and love,
    Paula R.

I just finished GUNS AND ROSES, the anthology the gals from Murder She Writes blog put out as an ebook. It starts with a Roxanne St. Claire Bullet Catcher novella and ends with a rollicking visit with Toni McGee Causey’s Bobbie Faye. In the middle are some great novellas that include favorite characters and new ones. I’ve started Mary Stanton’s DEFENDING ANGELS. This is an older title about a young lawyer in Savannah who is “admitted” to practice in the Celestial Court defending dead people. I think I’m really going to enjoy this series! Happy reading, everyone.

I finished reading Catherine Anderson’s Lucky Penny, great read, hard to put down. Now I am reading an older Elizabeth Lowell, A Woman Without Lies. The jury is still out but I’m sure it will be good even though it is older, much older!! Prior to this I read Samantha Hunter’s Blaze, Straight to the Heart. It was :hothot: :D Have no idea what is up next but I have several good choices on my TBR shelf. As soon as I can I need to go on a book store shopping trip or just go to Amazon!! There are lots of new books out by favorite authors that I need!

Everyone enjoy the weekend. :flag: :flag: :flag: :flag:

AND when it comes out 3/27 Hannah Howell’s Highland Avenger

I’m reading debut author Cecilia Grant’s A Lady Awakened which I started yesterday and I’m about 3/4 thru the book. I’m tempted to try to finish it tonight because I’m really loving the story! I was hoping to finish it by now but my husband kept “finding” projects for me to do today – like cook dinner!

I’m ready to start the last book in the Hunger Games series but I needed a break first. I decided to do a quick re-read of a few Rachel Gibson books.

Janelle–I’m reading DESTINY by Carly Phillips, and hope to read KISMET next.

One excellent series I read a few months back is the Clare Fergusson/Russ Van Alstyne mystery series by Julia Spencer-Fleming, set in the Adirondack mountains.
The heroine and hero are an Episcopal priest and a local police chief, respectively.
The first book is IN THE BLEAK MIDWINTER, and these books need to be read in published order. There are 7 books so far, and Julia is working on # 8.
