What Are You Reading…???
Julie Icon

So, I’m judging RITA books, so I can’t tell you what I’m reading. But it’s very good, my second favorite of the bunch I have, though the books were in different categories, so they don’t really compare. Still, I’m hoping to finish it this weekend so I can get to the last two books…because I’ve heard that a certain very favorite author of mine is sending me an ARC of her upcoming historical romance and I want to be ready!

What about you? What are you reading?

And I know many of you are tired of hearing about it, but my sexy romantic suspense, DIRTY LITTLE SECRETS, may still be available for only .99! (I say may because I’ve already directed the publishers to up the price for a little while–it will go back on sale when the third book is written–but it takes a while for the sale price to go away and you might still be able to get a deal.) If you pair it with the sequel, DIRTY LITTLE LIES, which is selling for $3.99, you’ll get TWO complete, full-length novels of intrigue, sex, action, humor and romance for under $5! That’s a heck of a deal…tell your friends! (Yesterday’s post has the links at the bottom…and you can still enter the contest for the $20 gift card…winner chosen tomorrow!)

Julie Leto

JulieBy all reports, Julie Leto was a sweet child once, somewhat shy, preferring to play quietly in her room making up stories. However, being raised with three brothers in a loud, primarily Italian household did have its influences and Julie discovered her inner tough girl. That’s probably why most of her heroines kick serious butt. Writing sassy heroines has worked out, as she’s sold over forty books to four publishers featuring strong, confident women. Julie lives in Florida with her daughter, a spoiled dachshund, a haughty lynx-point Siamese and a wide range of relatives all within driving distance.

Hey Jules, have fun reading Rita books. Hope you love the next two.

Currently reading Mockingjay. I held on to it long enough. Can’t wait to see Hunger Games. It is good and I don’t want it to end, especially when people tell me I might be a lot pissed off with the needing of this one. I’m finally going to finish up my YA reads with Destined by P. C. & Kristin Cast. I have to be in a certain mood to read YA. Wasn’t there mentally the past couple of weeks. I am about to start Defender by Catherine a mann. It’s the first book in her “Hot Guy” Air Force pilot series…that’s not the real name of the series of course…they are the first words that popped into my mind to describe them…lololol!!

Happy reading everyone. I hope yo all have a wonderful weekend. Am going to see The Vow tonight. I just know I’m gonna cry.

I love you my beloved plotmonkeys. Hope to see you all together again soon. Miss you guys.

    Peace and love,
    Paula R.

I’m reading Redwood Bend by Robyn Carr. It’s release is set for the end of February, but I was lucky enough to get an early copy from NetGalley. I’m listening to Archangel’s Blade by Nalini Singh when I’m in the car or out shopping.

I’m reading Sex, Lies and Mistletoe by Tawny Weber, enjoying it a lot. I have the other two books at the ready in this Undercover Operatives series. Prior to that I read Suzanne Brockmann’s Breaking The Rules which I loved, had trouble putting it down! That is my favorite kind of book. :D :reading: Before Breaking the Rules I read Christmas Wedding by James Patterson. It was a library book. Easy read which I enjoyed. What a wonderful world we live in that there are so many good choices of what to read. 8)

Everyone enjoy the weekend. :flag: :flag: :flag: :flag:

I just finished Small Treasures by Maureen Child. Liked the story but kept getting a little frustrated with Abby as she was just a little too pushy for me in the beginning. I like strong women but sometimes they can over do.
Next up on my list is Nora Roberts The Royals of Cordina which I am starting as soon as I hit send. :posting:

I’m enjoying reading A Courtesan’s Guide to Getting Your Man which is a colaboration between Celeste Bradley and Susan Donovan. I have loved Celeste books for years and it was a fun way to meet new-to-me contemporary writer Susan.

I’m really enjoying reading this book with Celeste writing the historical parts about the courtesan and Susan writing the contemporary parts about a woman with a PHD who is the lead person organizing an exhibit about the same woman who is known in Boston, MA as an outspoken humanitarian.

This book is a wonderful perspective of both a historical timeperiod versus modern morays of our times.

Someone on my FB fan page recommended a new to me author, Kristen Ashley when I asked for vacation reads – and OMG I’m in LOVE. Dream Man series – Law Man and Mystery Man my favorites but also LOVED Wild Man. Alphas like I’ve never read them before.

I don’t usually read first person – didn’t read an excerpt first before downloading (thank GOD or I wouldn’t have downloaded based on 1st person alone) – started to read, decided to keep going since I’d bought the book, got to page 5 and couldn’t put it down (bk 1). Honest to goodness blew my mind.In a good way!
