Happy Halloween everyone! So, what’s on your agenda for tonight? Are you taking little ones trick-or-treating? (depending on the weather, of course, and I can’t believe that snow is already falling on the east coast!). Or are you staying at home and handing out candy? Me, I’m answering the door and giving out Halloween candy — my favorite thing to do. It’s supposed to be a beautiful clear night here in Oregon, and I love seeing all the kids and their costumes, especially the home-made ones! It’s so much fun!
So, what are your plans? If you’re taking littles ones out to trick-or-treat, what kind of costumes are they wearing?

Janelle Denison finds it hard to believe that it’s been nearly 25 years since she first started writing romance novels. At first, it was a way to pass idle time while her husband worked swing shift, but before long it became an obsession to get published. Luckily, she kept at it (it took her over 5 years to get that first book published!) and is now a Waldenbooks, Barnes & Noble, and USA Today Bestselling author! Now, after selling over 45 plus novels, she finds that her Plotmonkey pals help to keep her stories fresh and unique, and she can’t imagine writing a story without their input. Janelle lives in Oregon with her husband, Don, along with two teenage daughters that keep life interesting.

I haven’t had any trick-or-treaters in years. Most of the kids at my apt complex do the trunk-or-treat thing, I guess. In fact, I didn’t even buy any candy this year. So hopefully, I’ll have a very quiet night.

I’ll be staying home but my grandkids will be trick or treating. My oldest grandson is jengo fett from Star Wars, oldest granddaughter is a princess, youngest grandson a skeleton. My youngest granddaughter won’t be able to go though. She is in Children’s Mercy hospital in Kansas City recovering from a major surgery. She has a beautiful snow white costume she won’t get to wear this year. She’s recovering pretty well so I can’t complain.

Linda–I’m so sorry about your little granddaughter missing tonight. I hope she recovers quickly from her surgery, and is able to come home ASAP. Will her siblings share their loot?

She is my oldest daughters child, the other kids belong to my youngest daughter. This little girl was born at 23 weeks and spent 4months in the NICU. She is 2 1/2 now and has had to have major reconstructive surgery on her throat to remove scar tissue from being intubated after she was born. It was a 6 almost 7 hour surgery and she has a trach and stomach tube both for a while. She won’t be able to talk or eat for a while. So no belated Halloween candy for her. We are hoping she can eat by Thanksgiving. They lost their home in the tornado too, so it’s been a rough time for them. Still we are blessed and thankful for family and friends. Happy Halloween everyone.

hey Linda H — I’ll be that hospital staff gets those kids some trick or treating!!! We don’t get any trick or treaters — our road is way to busy & there really aren’t any kids in the neighborhood…

I’m hoping to get at least a couple trick or treaters. I’ve had none the last couple of years. I’m getting home about an hour earlier which might help.

The yard is all done up, the chili is in the crock pot (who has time to cook when you’re answering the door) and my costume is ready so I can greet the little monsters at the door when ever they start!

We are staying in tonight. My daughter is dressing like a flapper to hand out the candy. She was suppossed to go to a costume party but her date as she put it “flaked out” on her. Cant let that costume go to waste.

My plan – stay out of the all the candy dishes/baskets at work.
By the time I get home, trick-or-treaters are all gone so no candy at home to tempt me.

I will be handing out candy while my sister and mom take my nephews out… my youngest nephew will be a tiger… the oldest will be the scream mask… Happy Halloween all! Stay Safe!

Every year I dress up to go to work. So this year I am a pirate wench.
Our patients at the Radiation Center, get a total kick out of it. Other than that, I will just pass out candy at the door.
Have a safe and fun filled Halloween.

No little ones to take. My boys (19 & 25) will probably hand out the candy so 1) I don’t eat it all, 2) they can eat some, 3) I can get closer to getting caught up with my work. Actually, We aren’t handing out candy – we’re going with Goldfish packets. It still won’t stop any of us from eating them.
Here in Minnesota everyone is talking about the Halloween Blizzard that hit 20 years ago and dumped 34+ inches of snow on us. I was pregnant with the youngest and had to help my husband get our car out of a snowbank at the end of our street.
Happy Halloween everyone!

The Only turned 26 yesterday. No more trick-r-treating with her, or making costumes. I’ll have to wait until the grandkid(s) makes an appearance.
I do have candy for the little ones in the neighborhood. We used to have bunches but they’ve all grown up and moved out of the parents’ houses. That’s a good thing. LOL
Have a safe and happy Halloween!

My apartment complex does not get any trick or treaters. Tonight I am going to stay home so I can watch DWTS. Can’t miss it! I was gone for two weeks on a trip so am content to just go back to my normal boring routine!!
It has been a good many years since I had any little ones to enjoy Halloween with. One year I was in Colorado with the two youngest grandkids & it was a fun evening to watch them & see the kids that came to the door. It was very cold out so my granddaughter had a Cinderella (I think) costume with long johns underneath! Very funny!! Especially to me that lives in a very moderate climate.
Janelle, I finished reading Night After Night over the weekend. I really loved it.
I can’t wait to see what is next. If anyone hasn’t started reading this new series from Janelle, run don’t walk to your nearest book source & buy these books. If you buy online, get those fingers busy & then enjoy good reading.
Happy Halloween to All!

I am handing out the candy, while my husband takes the boys. Oldest is Mike Wizoski (from Monsters, Inc); Middle boy is Cade Band from “The Clone Wars” and Youngest is Anakin from “Clone Wars”.

I’ll be a witch, passing out candy.

For me, it will be spent watching Monday Night Football! No children to take out and we live in the country with out two other houses – haven’t had a trick or treater in over 8 years. I kinda miss seeing the kids, but don’t miss spending the money on the candy or eating all that was left.
Happy Halloween!

That should be ‘with only two other houses’ – sorry!

I’m handing out candy to the trick or treaters. We never know how many will be coming…until the evening is over. Last year we almost used up all the candy for our visitors. So far tonight we’ve seen two groups, and one star wars character. I’m in the PNW, too.

I have no one for trick or treating… My landlords gave out the candy and I just contributed to the haul..
Watching all my fav Monday night programs…
