Carly

CarlyCarly Phillips would like to take 100% credit for all her stories but the truth is, Carly’s strength is writing family, emotion, funky elderly people and animals. She couldn’t plot her way out of a paper bag, which is why she smartly found her plotmonkey pals early on in her writing career. Thanks to their support, Carly is now a NYT Bestselling author of 23 plus novels. Because writing doesn’t keep her busy enough, Carly is also a wife, a mother of one preteen and one teenage daughter, the primary care giver of her soft coated Wheaten terrier and an expert carpool mom.

:praying: To Everyone with tsunami or earthquake problems my prayers are with you.

I live north of San Francisco where all my TV stations are located. When I turned on the TV all that is on is coverage regarding the earthquake and the resulting tsunami. They have the beaches closed in San Francisco & the Great Highway that runs along the coast. The little town of Crescent City, CA. had a tsunami wave but as of yet I haven’t heard anything about damage. This would be the second time it was affected as there was one over 40 years ago that did amazing damage. That time the earthquake was in Alaska. I lived in Oregon then and drove over to Crescent City a few days later to see the damage. I can tell you it is just amazing the force behind those waves. There is a huge anchor in Crescent City that was moved by the force, the anchor weighs tons. I see it whenever I go through. All the debris on the beaches was just unbelievable.
Thanks for a great Friday prize. :applause: :flowers4you:

    :flag: :flag:

They are just doing an update Crescent City has already had two tsunami waves, 1 at over 6 ft. the other at over 8 ft. I hope everyone there is okay.

My heart is heavy with sadness for all the people affected by this massive earthquake. Things can happen so fast that in a blink of an eye your whole world has changed, love ones can be lost forever. Take the time to tell that special someone that you love them. Call your Mom to just say hi or a friend you haven’t heard from in a while. Life is precious so celebrate every minute. May God bless us all.

Who could plan for a 8.9? On the upside, Japan is the most prepared nation in the world for natural disasters like the earthquake and the subsequent tsunami. On the other hand, aside from the other earthquake in Nagano, I’m waiting to see if Mount Fiji is going to do anything.

With the earthquakes in New Zealand and the new eruption at Kilauea, I’m really worried about the whole Ring of Fire.
