What Janelle had to say on Friday, October 1st, 2010
Today is October 1st, which is officially the start of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. To do my part in supporting breast cancer awareness, I’m giving away FOUR Breast Cancer Awareness pendants to four lucky winners!

All you have to do to enter today’s contest is post anything on the blog, then check back on Sunday to see if you’re a winner!

Janelle Denison finds it hard to believe that it’s been nearly 25 years since she first started writing romance novels. At first, it was a way to pass idle time while her husband worked swing shift, but before long it became an obsession to get published. Luckily, she kept at it (it took her over 5 years to get that first book published!) and is now a Waldenbooks, Barnes & Noble, and USA Today Bestselling author! Now, after selling over 45 plus novels, she finds that her Plotmonkey pals help to keep her stories fresh and unique, and she can’t imagine writing a story without their input. Janelle lives in Oregon with her husband, Don, along with two teenage daughters that keep life interesting.

Janelle, you’re a gem. What a wonderful way to help us all remember the importance of this month.
Everyone, please remember to visit “www.thebreastcancersite.com” daily to help sponsor mammograms for needy women. It’s free for you—just a click of your computer mouse helps those in need. In 2009, almost 7000 women were helped.

I would love to win one of those pendants. It would go great with the Breast Cancer Care earrings my husband made me. They were made from keyrings and are to remember family members who have died of breast cancer.
The keyrings were similar to this pin: http://shop.breastcancercare.org.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=3&products_id=33
so you can see why the pendant would look good with them

We lost our younger sister to a terribly aggressive breast cancer in
1975. She was gone in 18 months after finding the lump in her
breast. All of us miss her very much, as does the daughter she left
behind. My thanks for your work in raising breast cancer awareness.

Breast cancer runs on both sides of my family. My mom has had both of her breast removed because she had cancer and my aunt had cancer and fought it for years before she finally passed away after a long fight.

I’m one of many who have lost their mother to breast cancer…
