Help Me
Carly Icon

I’m standing in for Janelle today and I need you to help me pick a hair COLOR! I’m feeling VERY washed out right now … so no laughing. I used one of those online hair stylers! Which color do you like best and be honest! And DON’T go by style, LOL!

I think this is pretty close to me right now:

So ….. which hair color do you like best on me?

I do like #4, but definitely something with a bit of red in it sounds fun.

Have fun choosing a new look :)

It’s between 2 and 4 for me Carly! 2 says “ultra chic” and no-nonsense to me. 4 is just interesting, and I can actually see you with that color. Will weigh in more later.

    Peace and love,
    Paula R.

I like 3 or 4. It’s funny, because before I even looked at the picture I thought, Oh, I hope she’s doing something with red. :D You’ll have to let us know what you decide on.

I am doing the same thing on Wednesday but I told my hairdresser that she can do whatever she wants as long as it is fun and sassy, so it will be interesting to see what happens.

Hi! I happen to like your #1 picture, so how about just adding red highlights to it instead? You could either have them placed all over or just a clump of red in one spot (for lack of the technical terms).

I think the red color makes you look younger but I advise to color carefully because red is hard to get out once you have it. Mine has been burgundy for years and I freshen it up with highs and lows depending on the season.

Choose a color close to your natural and add 2 tones of highlights for summer- thin, woven ultra blondes and thicker strands for a darker blonde shade.

Then in the fall you can add some deep lows, maybe a few auburns.

Thanks, everyone. I still haven’t decided what I’m doing. I know I’ve done red before and it’s impossible to maintain and look the same each time and be happy. I can’t do red. But I also know I’m not happy with the lack of depth and richness I have now. I have a great colorist, so I know I’ll figure it out but I wanted to have some fun and see what you all thought worked with my coloring too!

It is a toss up for me between #3 and #4. In picture #3 you look like Paula Abdul. In picture #4 you look like Sarah Palin.

My vote goes for #4 after closer inspection with your skin tone and eye color. This is very flattering on you!

If you choose this color I would were a pale peach blush, with brown and hazel eye shadow, and a pale peach lipstick. If you are the type to wear liner and mascara, either a dark brown or black liner would be good along with mascara to match.

I just colored my hair tonight a deep auburn and I love it! I bought the new hair color by Clairol called PERFECT 10 and it was great! Your color is done in 10 minutes!

Have fun Carly! Whatever color you choose it will be very pretty on you! You have selected some nice shades.
