Summer TV Shows
Janelle Icon

By now, most shows have aired their finales for the season, and now “reruns/repeats” of those shows are now filling those slots on TV. I’m in the process of trying to figure out what I’ll be watching for the summer. Some things are obvious, like The Bachelorette, and So You Think You Can Dance. On cable TV, a new season of Cake Boss and Top Chef are starting, which I know I’ll watch, too. Also, at the end of this month the new seasons for Leverage and Dark Blue (both on TNT) will start, which I’m excited about, since I really love both of those series. Other than that, there isn’t a whole lot that’s on TV (that I know about) that I just have to see.

So, what shows are you planning on watching this summer? Anything new or exciting? I’m hoping you all can give me some good recommendations for new shows to watch to fill my evenings!

Janelle

JanelleJanelle Denison finds it hard to believe that it’s been nearly 25 years since she first started writing romance novels. At first, it was a way to pass idle time while her husband worked swing shift, but before long it became an obsession to get published. Luckily, she kept at it (it took her over 5 years to get that first book published!) and is now a Waldenbooks, Barnes & Noble, and USA Today Bestselling author! Now, after selling over 45 plus novels, she finds that her Plotmonkey pals help to keep her stories fresh and unique, and she can’t imagine writing a story without their input. Janelle lives in Oregon with her husband, Don, along with two teenage daughters that keep life interesting.

Is there a one stop place where we can see the summer TV schedule? I know LIE TO ME is back, so is RESCUE ME at the end of June, the Chef Ramsey show (name I forget on Sunday nights), … my dh is good at setting the DVR for these things. I tend to forget what’s on when during the summer. I’m much better at winter TV!

The other FX show I really am liking is Justified, with Timothy Olyphant. Yummmm….

I used to say that I watched no TV except for NASCAR. Since my husband introduced me to NCIS, I can’t say that anymore, because I have gotten so addicted to that show I watch it all the time!!

And I’d really like to start watching LIE TO ME, I’m going to see if I can find that listed. I’ll do a handy-dandy “Smart Search” on my DVR. But I have no recommendations for you. Sorry.

My family is doing an entire Lost DVD marathon this summer, starting with the pilot and going through the finale. We’ve talked about it for 2 years!

Then Season 4 of Dexter comes out on DVD in August–can’t wait for that one! Plus the girls have started getting me into Buffy. (They are actually going to ComiCon in Philadelphia next Saturday with Bruce, just because James Marstars–Spike, he of the fabulous cheekbones–is appearing there!)

I honestly don’t watch regular TV during the summer. But we sure do watch those DVD collections.
