Before I start today’s blog, can anyone believe it’s ALREADY March 1st?
This year, for me, is already starting to fly by!
Okay, back to “My Guilty Pleasure”. For those of you who’ve been following this blog for some time know that I’m a fan of reality TV. Sad, but true. Some of my “must see” reality shows are: America’s Next Top Model, Top Chef, Sheer Genuis, American Idol, Project Runway, and of course, THE BACHELOR (to name just a few)!
And speaking of which, the season finale for The Bachelor is tonight. It’s down to the last two girls, and they honestly couldn’t be more different. There’s Vienna, the bad girl who nobody on the show seemed to like, and Tenley, the good girl who is funny and as sweet as can be. How Jake ended up with two polar opposites to choose from, I’ll never know. Honestly, I thought that Ally was the best girl for him, but seeing that she choose her job over risking it all for true love with Jake, he let her go. (I’m betting she’ll end up being the next bachelorette!).
Vienna, Vienna, Vienna.
According to tabloids, this girl is a hot mess. She’s messed around on previous boyfriends, is a girl who has to be the center of attention, and generally seems to be in this for “the fame.” I do see the chemistry between Jake and Vienna, but not for the long term. She’s very young and immature, and I just don’t think she’s ready to settle down yet. And if he does pick her, I can’t see it lasting very long.
Then there’s Tenley.
Like I said — very sweet and funny, but a part of me wonders if she’s still hung up on what her ex-husband did to her (he cheated on her). I’d like to think that she’s over it and ready to move on, but she sure does talk a lot about it on the show! She and Jake seem like a really cute couple, and out of the two, if I had to make a pick, I’d choose Tenley for him. But, there’s always the chance that she’s just not exciting enough for him.
So, tonight we find out. Of course the show is stating that this is one of the most “dramatic endings in Bachelor history”, though they seem to say that every season. Regardless, I’m DYING to see who he chooses — though if rumors are to believed, he’s gonna pick Vienna!
So, who do you think he’s going to pick? Do you have a favorite? And what about Ally? Do you think she would have been the best match over Tenley and Vienna?

Janelle Denison finds it hard to believe that it’s been nearly 25 years since she first started writing romance novels. At first, it was a way to pass idle time while her husband worked swing shift, but before long it became an obsession to get published. Luckily, she kept at it (it took her over 5 years to get that first book published!) and is now a Waldenbooks, Barnes & Noble, and USA Today Bestselling author! Now, after selling over 45 plus novels, she finds that her Plotmonkey pals help to keep her stories fresh and unique, and she can’t imagine writing a story without their input. Janelle lives in Oregon with her husband, Don, along with two teenage daughters that keep life interesting.

Sorry Janelle, so not a fan. I couldn’t care less who he picks LOL.
Not only March 1st, but already Monday! Geez it comes too fast.

I think he is going to pick Vienna because she adds excitement to his stunted life! He really has no personality and is looking for his opposite for “entertainment” value.
I also think Aly will be the nest bachelorette!

I think you’re right, Tami!

I’m so glad it’s March! I can’t wait for warm weather.
I never got into The Bachelor. I used to watch Amercian Idol, but stopped that two seasons ago.

I think he will pick Vienna. I don’t think either of them are the best match for him. He would have been better off with Alli. I hear she’s the next Bachelorette. I heard rumors that Jake doesn’t pick either and goes back to Alli but that can’t be true if she’s the next bachelorette.

Michelle — It’s hard to believe that out of the 25 women he had to choose from, he ended up with these two complete opposities. I don’t see a “happily ever after” with either of them!

Janelle, I don’t really watch this show, sorry. I hope he chooses the girl that is best for him. How is that for a non-answer? LOL!!! I have seen snippets while waiting for Castle to start, but, I don’t focus on it. I did see a piece of the one where the girl you would have chosen left…so much crying, and I think he was really into her.
Every season, seems to get more dramatic. I am curious to see who he chooses, so I might tune in the last 10 minutes of the show or so. I mean, CASTLE is on right after it.
I am so excited that Spring is close enough. There is so much white stuff and the weather is so cold, but I can sense it. At least the shoots in my friends garden sense the advent of spring, and the poor birds. They have been confused all winter. Not many of them went South this year.
I hope you have wonderful day. I probably won’t be back on until much later today. I am on-on duty today. My co dorm-parent has her day off.
Peace and love,
Paula R.

No Castle tonight, which totally sucks. :*&#!:
I never got into the Bachelor. I preferDancing with the Stars, America’s Got Talent and, shhhh, Celebrity Apprentice.
I have not been impressed with American Idol this season and may not continure watching it. Usually there are 2 or 3 who grab me right at the start and they are who I watch for, but this year? Blech. Not impressed with anyone but maybe, Big Mike. So I may not bother until closer to the end which will make hubby happy. Besides it’s opposite NCIS. I’ll take Gibbs anyday!

Ev — I love Castle, too! And I can’t wait for Celebrity Apprentice to start. Another fun reality TV show!
As for American Idol — I’m going to stick it out. There are a few that are my favorites and we’ll see where it goes from there. Honestly, I think last week so many of them were SO nervous, and that didn’t help their singing at all!

I haven’t watched The Bachelor at all this year. I loved it when it first came on, but dropped it several seasons ago. I’ve also heard he picks Vienna. The Biggest Loser is about the only reality show I still watch. I love Bob and Jillian and the show helps keep me motivated to continue to lose weight and eat healthier.

Liza — I love The Biggest Loser, too! Another MUST SEE show!

I don’t watch reality shows because quite frankly, I could care less. Sorry.
But from what you said about these two girls my advice to Jake would be to RUN!! Poor Jake. I really feel sorry for the guy. And who would name their child “Vienna”? I can’t help but think of sausages. She must have found little cans of sausages on her desk at school all the time.
I can’t believe it’s March 1st either! We have a light snow today. March is typically our snowiest month here in Denver so it will be interesting to see how it plays out.
Have a great day all,
Cher

Janelle,
I’m right there with you on reality TV (well TV in general). I’ve seen every season of The Bachelor/Bachelorette. Picking Vienna is ridiculous and contradicts everything Jake has said he wants in a wife. He’s thinking with little Jake. Oh well.
Jason and Molly got married over the weekend, so that’s good news, I suppose. He ended up getting on my last nerve though, so I can’t get too excited about it.
American Idol – No one has really grabbed me yet, but it’s still early.

Not a big fan of The Bachleor ever since Andy the Navy Doctor was on. He really ruined it for me. What a jerk.

I keep watching the Bachelor/Bachelorette! Very few matches seem to work out so why do I keep watching?
The rumors I’ve heard say he doesn’t pick either! But they are just rumors & I don’t believe anything in the tabloids, don’t actually read them as I don’t want to encourage them in anyway & that is what we do if we buy them. I love Dancing With The Stars, can’t wait to hear the announcement tonight of the next cast. I have favorites with the pros & love watching the celebrities learn and grow or bomb! Some of the ones I expect to be good just can’t cut the routines and seem to not have a clue how to listen to the pro they are paired with. Since I grew up watching musicals on the big screen that is probably why I like DWTS.
So who will he pick, I can mostly think of “not her” and few “yes she is the one”. I think the visits with his parents should be interesting.
Speaking of “reality” shows did anyone else watch The Shark Tank? I found watching business savvy in action interesting, surprisingly so!
Yesterday was almost spring like. I had cabin fever so took a drive over to the coast. There was no wind, I didn’t need a jacket, tons of people were there enjoying the day. I got my two miles of walking in on Bodega Head looking at the ocean, the waves just enjoying being outside while appreciating Mother Nature at her finest. I hope you all enjoyed a good day also.

I have heard it is Vienna. I don’t watch the show anymore. Me, I am so ready for DWTS and ANTM and for the regular shows to come back :)

Oooh, I love PR and TAR. That’s Project Runway and The Amazing Race. DWTS seems like a weird cast. Go figure Kate Gosslin is on.

Well, now we know, he picked Vienna! The important thing is that he is happy not what we all think!!!
They haven’t yet announced who the next Bachelor or Bachelorette is but my curious is up!! He is going to be on DWTS, the is quite the surprise.
Pamela Anderson, ick! Sorry but she is one of my least favorite celebrities. I’ve never figured out if she has any talent for anything.
Good night all!

Oh the Bachelor was so good!
How romantic and sweet and Hot too. I thought he’d pick Vienna all along, I saw their chemistry, my Mom however wanted him to pick Tenley. I used to be a Reality Junkie but lately I’ve spend way more time reading than watching tv. Although I plan not to miss dancing with the stars this season, what a lineup and with Jake on there I already have a favorite!
I just hope it works out of them! Look what Jason went through last season and now he’s getting married on tv March 8th. Then we have Ali as the new Bachelorette!!! That’s awesome so many great thing in reality Tv happened last night!
