Carly
Carly Phillips would like to take 100% credit for all her stories but the truth is, Carly’s strength is writing family, emotion, funky elderly people and animals. She couldn’t plot her way out of a paper bag, which is why she smartly found her plotmonkey pals early on in her writing career. Thanks to their support, Carly is now a NYT Bestselling author of 23 plus novels. Because writing doesn’t keep her busy enough, Carly is also a wife, a mother of one preteen and one teenage daughter, the primary care giver of her soft coated Wheaten terrier and an expert carpool mom.Email this author | All posts by Carly

Work, work, and more work. The fun never ends! LOL. Averaging about 1 book per week reading-wise, which I don’t like. I have SO many to read, and I want to have the time to read them
Getting together with some girlfriends this weekend. Looking forward to that.

I have been job hunting, baking b/c I am having to job hunt and trying to enjoy my temporary time as a SAHM. I think I would much rather be on vacation! LOL!
I have been getting some reading done but unfortunately, I seem to be finding other things to do like laundry, cleaning the bathrooms and painting the inside of the house! I think I actually read more when I had a job!

Carly I hope you are having a good time on vacation. U must have gotten rid of the stuffy problem. What did you find that worked for you.
Soak up some of that sun for me please…

Hope you had a great vacation, Carly!
I haven’t been able to read as much as I would like lately. I too am only averaging about 1 book per week and have way too many still to read.
Today I’m having out patient surgery to remove a lump in my left breast. Luckily, it isn’t cancer, but there are some pre-cancerous cells in the lump. My doctor sent me for an early mammogram and I’m so blessed because the doctor is pretty sure it would have developed into breast cancer if I had waited another couple of years for a mammogram(I couldn’t even feel the lump yet). I’ll come back and post an update after I get home tonight.

Carly, hope you had a great vacation.
I’ve been taking care of Spike. He is doing good! Crisis avoided for now. We are very relieved. We have made the decision to add to our family and get two new doxie puppies which we’re very excited about.
We are in process of finding a reputable breeder. My husband is still out of town. He has been gone for two weeks. But he will be home late tomorrow night.
Have a great day all,
Cher

I think I need to go on vacation! I have a friend moving to Key West this weekend and when I talked to him yesterday he told me we were welcome anytime. I told him if it doesn’t get warm here soon, he’s going to wake up one morning to find me on his doorstep!!
Besides complaining about the weather, I’ve been writing and getting ready for my second release – which comes out March 10th from The Wild Rose Press.
How’s that for a shameless plug?!

We are taking #1 son on another college visit this weekend!
I need everyone to concentrate and send the good vibes this way so that he will actually pick one and stick with it. He is really excited about this one so that makes me excited also.
His senior pictures look like a “formal” mug shot…not many tuxedo wearing criminals in this part of the country. And then he asks me, “Is that whole cap and gown thing really necessary?” ….OF COURSE IT IS SON… “Well I sorta missed the deadline for ordering.”
Have a wonderful vacation Carly!

Today we are going to my aunt’s house (also in massachusetts) and from there we are going to caravan (My family travels in packs…lmao) to the JCPenney outlet store in CT….daughters are looking for prom dresses…and the ones around here are 500+ a piece….my aunt was at the outlet two weeks ago and they had a ton under 100..
Comment
just a little side note….Autumn got three formal prom dresses today at the outlet….for 10.00 each after all the discounts… a pair of shoes that went perfectly with one and almost perfect with another dress for 2.50 ..two bathing suits for 2.50 each(Tankkini’s) plus a coat and a fleecey vest for 3.00 each…I was in shock…..it was amazing especially because she had seen one of the dresses for 279.00 .. so if anyone lives near a JCPenney outlet store…run to it and check it out…it’s amazing.
btw…got home and told the neighbor about it because her daughters can both go to prom this year too…so she took the 2 hour round trip and went…came home with two dresses each and a ton of other stuff…
the kids who get amazing prom dresses for pennies….

Working on galley proofs for second book and anticipating a release date. Once those are done, it’s back to revisions on another book. Sheesh. A writer’s work is never done!

Carly I hope you had a great vacation. It looks lovely.
I haven’t been doing anything interesting. The Olympics are taking up to much of my time!! I don’t care for the way they televise them but guess you just have to live with it. Last night I turned them off about 10:30 pm even though I was enjoying. There have been to many extra late nights for me!!
Ev, glad you had a good birthday. I missed it! I hope it was wonderful. Belated good wishes. Have a terrific year.

Looks like you had a great vacation. I hope you get to hold on to the relaxed feeling for a while.
Work, housework, driving my high school freshman (daughter) around… Enjoying the sunny weather of the west coast and watching the Olympics until much too late at night – thanks to having the coverage delayed by three hours in spite of the games being in our actual time zone.
Sorry. That’s a rant I can’t seem to get past. :*&#!:
I spent part of the afternoon consoling my College Sophomore who just found out that her focus area within her major, has been eliminated. We may be shopping for a now school. sigh.

I wish I could take a LONG needed vacation. I’ve been going nuts for the past couple of weeks trying to fix a big problem I’m having with my Palm Pilot-it holds all the books I’ve read and ones TBR cataloged with author, pub, pgs etc on it(2000+), all my CD’s, DVD’s and health info. One program is corrupt and it’s holding everything up. It’s held up my reading time which is not good! Now that I’ve vented, have a great VACATION-relax.
