She wrote of diverse and rich New Orleans, specifically the garden district. To this day, I still have the image of the house and the district. It made a lasting impression on me. Every time I think of New Orleans, or anything to do with the city, I think of Anne Rice's descriptions. I would LOVE to visit and see with my own eyes. But I worry that the real thing wouldn't live up to my image. Anyway, thanks for giving me the chance to enter in the contest. Frankly, I'd be behind Peyton Manning no matter which NFL team he was on. The guy is total CLASS in this day and age when sports stars are embroiled in scandal & controversy. I also am a Tennessee Volunteer fan so another reason to back him. As for city settings, I think it's fun to read stories set where I know the city a little and it's like a chance to revisit through the characters. I like the City by the Bay, San Francisco, for that reason :) On the other hand, it's just as much fun for me to "visit" new-to-me cities, so, I'm not picky!
