Oh, my gosh, I am going back and forth between crying over the LOVELY things my very dear friends said, and laughing over those fabulous zombies! (You guys know me too tooo well!)
It has been a wonderful day so far. I am very lucky because in our house, if your birthday falls on the weekend, you get an entire “birthday weekend celebration.” Yesterday we went to the movies (Legion…blech, stupid) and then dinner with two of my beautiful, amazing sisters. Breakfast in bed today. Now Bruce is making gumbo (one of my faves) and the girls are making lemon cake (another fave) and I’m spending all my time answering phone calls and emails from my wonderful, thoughtful, loving families and friends.
Thank you all SO much for throwing this celebration and for all the well wishes!
PS: I can now no longer say I am in my “early” 40’s and have to cop to mid’s. How the heck did this happen?!

Just remember Les, “age ain’t nothin’ but a number.” You are as young as you feel. The rest of the monkeys did say some wonderful things. They always have the most inspirational and loving thing to share with us. I must admit, I kinda teared up too when I read what they wrote about you.
