Holiday Fun
Janelle Icon

Most of us are crazy busy this week, so I thought I’d post something fun. How many of you watch holiday movies? Personally, I love them! This is a quiz about movie Santas. How many do you recognize? I have to admit, my score was woeful — only 5 out of l l! Hopefully you’ll do better! :SmallSanta:

TAKE SANTA QUIZ HERE

Janelle

JanelleJanelle Denison finds it hard to believe that it’s been nearly 20 years since she first started writing romance novels. At first, it was a way to pass idle time while her husband worked swing shift, but before long it became an obsession to get published. Luckily, she kept at it (it took her over 5 years to get that first book published!) and is now a Waldenbooks, Barnes & Noble, and USA Today Bestselling author! Now, after selling over 40 plus novels, she finds that her Plotmonkey pals help to keep her stories fresh and unique, and she can’t imagine writing a story without their input. Janelle lives in Oregon with her husband, Don, along with two teenage daughters that keep life interesting.

I got 7 out of 11, more by chance than anything. I haven’t seen any of the movies except for Home Alone.

I got 9 out of 11- both from movies I have seen but they just didn’t make an impression I guess. One of them was Elf. I usually watch a lot of Christmas movies, but haven’t had time this season. Even for White Christmas, so I will pop the DVD in while I am cooking Christmas Eve I think. :bigxmas:

:meepcold: But I am off to get the :bigtree: and get it up today even if it kills me.

Hey Janelle, I completely BOMBED the quiz. I think I got 2 or 3 right. Maybe I should watch more Santa movies. LOL!!!! I hope that all is well. Hey, did you get a lot of snow?

    Peace and love,
    Paula R.

Paula, I bombed, too. Guess I don’t watch a lot of holiday movies. My youngest (he’s almost 5), is REALLY into the Christmas movies (Charlie Brown, classic stop motion ones and I just found “Shrek the Halls”). Gotta love that! He’s really into Santa and all of it this year, too!

That’s awesome about your son Katie. The joy of a child during Christmas time is always infectious isn’t it. I watched a television show called Christmas Town last night, and I must say the adult in me was just so skeptical. One of the characters in the show said that it takes adults a lot longer to “believe in the Magic” of Christmas. He was so right. Have a wonderful time watching those shows with your kidlet. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

        Peace and love,
        Paula R.

I managed to get 10 out of 11. Only one I missed was the one for Fred Claus, but I’d never seen the movie before. I made really good guesses on a few.

Ev, I missed the Elf question, too. I’ve never watched it. I got 9 of 11. That’s pretty scary, especially since I managed to get the obscure questions right.

I think I’m on the downhill slide to Christmas. All my baking is done, but for one batch of rolls for Christmas Eve/Day but those are easy. I’m on my way to buy gift bags for wrapping–drop and stuff. Easy. The kids offered to help clean house. Maybe I won’t have to redo it once they’re done. I have four days to get the mantel decorated and the stockings hung. I can do this. Happy Holidays!

Hey Silver, I knew that all the ducks would start lining up for you, despite the late start with tree :bigtree: and finding cactus. I know you will have everything good and ready for the big day. Happy shopping, and I hope you don’t redo what the kids do. How often do you get them to volunteer to do anything, huh mom? If you redo, they might never volunteer again…life is too long for that to happen now…lol. I am really digging the holiday emoticons!!!

:ccane: :decor: :santalights: Okay, I will stop.

      Peace and love,
      Paula R.

I got 6. I missed the Elf question and the kids have made me watch that a dozen times or so. Then I clicked on the Pixar Quiz and got 11 of 15. :)

I still have shopping to do. I can’t believe how late it is and of course that is hard to balance with working and bringing the kids into school with me. *Sigh* I wonder if I will ever get anything done in time. We are just putting up the :bigtree: tree tonight–my mom’s on my case cause it’s so late–she is 1500 miles aways–she needs to stop adding to my stress level.

    Have a gret day!

Got 5 right which isn’t too bad considering Trading Places is the only movie I’ve seen. Okay, so I’ve seen Home Alone, but I got that question wrong.

Most of the Christmas movies I see are the Oldies. My score 6 out of the 11!! Not to bad considering some were guesses! I have seen Home Alone, The Santa Claus & Elf but some of them I’ve never seen & probably never will unless I see them at someone’s house! One of my favorite more current Christmas movies is Polar Express, loved it! :santaguy:

I’m close to being ready! :treecut: Since my Christmas will be on the 23rd I need to get busy wrapping & baking & cooking! I did get my Brandied Cranberry Sauce made yesterday. Now the flavors will have time to mingle & age!

Why is it Mom’s add to our pressure? :ccane:

Everyone have a good day. :snowman: :rain: We are having rain!

Donna M, what are you doing hanging out here? You have less than 2 days, count ‘em, two days before Xmas. We love you, but get out of here. Go finish up! We will be swinging in the jungle later too. Have a wonderful holiday okay.

I got 9 out of 11. I missed the question about Bad Santa and then one other one, apparently. :-) I got the Martian one right, but that was just a lucky guess!
