My thoughts on this have changed a great deal though as I would rather get someone something they are going to use instead of something they put in a box in the back of the closet or have to go stand in line to return. My favorite gift cards to get are bookstore ones or resturants. I save the resturant ones for those times I am low on cash but still want to go out and enjoy a nice meal with friends say.
