OK I admit to pulling my newsletter and posting it here. Frankly I am EXHAUSTED. Personally and professionally, this has been a very long week, so forgive me, OK? Click HERE to see the newsletter in larger/normal form!

Also anyone who has looked for Lucky Break in Walmart and can’t find it, please drop me an email with the city/state of the Walmart! Thanks.

Carly I checked out the Skowhegan, Maine, Walmart today and you are not there

either. It seems they have changed the way they are stocking the shelves both

here and in RI. They had all the reissue stuff for Danielle Steel, Nora Roberts,

Stephen King, Dan Brown, Charlaine Harris and John Grisham to name a few.

Maybe they got a deal on all the old rereleases cause they have several titles

        from each author.

You said it, Jeannie. I found out today Walmart overstocked Dan Brown’s backlist at the expense of many titles. Apparently some Walmarts have my book. But it doesn’t seem like it when everyone reports in. I hope people will bother to go to other stores! Thanks for letting me know!!!!!

    HI Carly
I had mentioned the other day running into the
girl stocking the shelves in WaterVille Maine walmart
And we noted she didn`t have any of your lucky break.
Will Check out skowhegan today but I think she stocks
All local walmarts. She was as surprised as I was.

Just sitting here drinking my morning coffee watching 2 deer wander around

the yard. A mother and her baby, cute.

I have been thinking a lot about the Walmart book situation lately.

It’s been going on noticeably since June.

Being both here in Maine and in RI during the

summer, I really count on my trips to Walmart for books. I have noticed they

seem to be changing the way they buy books or at least the way they are

delivered to the Cranston, Warwick, Coventry, RI stores and the Waterville,

Skowhegan and Farmington, Maine stores. I would have spent a good penny

on books there, that I wound up buying elsewhere because I couldn’t get them

when I wanted them. Thank goodness for Mr. Paperback here in Maine (I can

always count on them to have what I want, when I want it)

because there are no local Borders or Barnes and Noble like at home in RI.

Like Paula R. I don’t order pre release from online anymore. I am spoiled and

      don’t like to wait for the mailman. Hey I don’t do hairdressers, jewelry or furs;

just want my books when I want them. :domainatrix:

Anyway I think Walmart’s book dept. is sliding big time, what a shame.

I only managed to get cindy gerard and roxi st.claire’s new books this last trip.

Trust me I had a long list. :? Okay the deer are gone and Zoey wants a walk

      see you later.

Jeannie, I completely agree…Walmart is slipping BIG TIME!!!! Amazon finally delivered Carly’s book today, but they spilled something on it. Now it smells aweful, so now I am going to buy a second copy because it stinks to high heaven…

Carly, I am so sorrrryyyy that I missed your chat last night. I really wish I didn’t because I enjoy chatting you and the other monkeys every chance I get. Just a little bummed about that. Congrats Emmanuelle. I hope you enjoy the book. I can’t wait to get into Lucky Break…I was really missing the Corwins.

        Peace and love,
        Paula R.

Take it easy Carly. You deserve to relax a little. I know Borders has it, I just have not had time to stop back by. It is on my weekend list of things to accomplish. Yeah. It’s really the “to do” list, who am I kidding?

I am reading Pitch Black and totally loving the story line. My daughter says that’s why I am having bad dreams lateley. Thanks, Les.

    Have a great day!

I received your newsletter in my e mail this morning. It is absolutely wonderful just like your website. :cheer:

I saw LUCKY BREAK at Border’s yesterday but I don’t remember seeing it at the Kietzke Wal Mart in Reno.

I wonder if anyone has run into the same problem that I did at Border’s with new releases that are not being stocked on the shelves? I had two new releases on Tuesday that I was going to purchase from my book list and was told that they were available by mail order only. Am I missing something???

Carly, I couldn’t find Lucky Break at the Walmart in Pomfret, CT. Very small town, but I could always count on it to have your books and the other monkey books too. They have been slacking big time.

    Peace and love,
    Paula R.
