Julie’s on her way to the NINC (Novelist’s Inc) Conference. She’ll try to blog from the airport! Here’s hoping Julie has a safe, uneventful flight to St. Louis, no Carly-like stories!
Have fun, Julie! Talk to you soon!

Carly Phillips would like to take 100% credit for all her stories but the truth is, Carly’s strength is writing family, emotion, funky elderly people and animals. She couldn’t plot her way out of a paper bag, which is why she smartly found her plotmonkey pals early on in her writing career. Thanks to their support, Carly is now a NYT Bestselling author of 23 plus novels. Because writing doesn’t keep her busy enough, Carly is also a wife, a mother of one preteen and one teenage daughter, the primary care giver of her soft coated Wheaten terrier and an expert carpool mom.

Carly I am half way thru LUCKY BREAK…
Smooth easy read (one of the reasons I enjoy your books.)
Oh yeah love the animals too! Zoey is always checking out my Pink Digger.
I enjoy the Corwin family curse stories.

Julie have a safe trip. Can’t wait to hear about your adventures.
I just finished reading Lucky Break last night. I am sad to see the series end but I had memories of those Corwin men
to last me until your next series. No pressure.

Have fun at the conference Julie. May all your travels be smooth.
Carly I got the Lucky Break email from Writerspace today. I’m looking forward to picking up the book. Maybe Friday or over the weekend! I hope it is flying off the shelves.

Hey Carly, you are such a sweetie to help Jules out. I haven’t been able to pick up Lucky Break yet…not happy about it, but Amazon emailed me and said my order shipped today. I swear, I am not pre-ordering from them again. I could get them quicker at Walmart.
Jules, I hope that you have a rather uneventful flight. Have fun at the conference.
Peace and love,
Paula R.

Hi, everyone! Sorry I didn’t get to blog from the airport. Though I got there in plenty of time, I met up with a friend right away and got distracted.
So far, so good! I have a sinus infection, so flying wasn’t fun (my left ear is useless at this point…still stuffed up and I can hear a darned thing!) but otherwise, it’s been great. The hotel is beautiful…and they give you not one, not two, but THREE FREE DRINKS during happy hour.
Had drinks with my roomie, Diana Peterfreund (whose new book, RAMPANT, is in stores now in the YA section…have you bought it?) and her agent, Deidre Knight, and my wonderful new friend, Megan Hart, with whom I also had dinner. Saw several familiar faces, too–Barbara Keilor (Judith Arnold) Ruth Glick (Rebecca York), Karen Rose and I text messaged with Julie Kenner, who is staying at a nearby hotel.
Tomorrow is Forensics Day. All the workshops focus on real CSI work. Should be fun. I’ll try and pop in to say hi.
The hotel does have free wireless in all the rooms, too. I can see the St. Louis arch from my room…really close! The only downside to the hotel…no room service! Wah!
