Major apologies! I totally zoned on today being my Plotmonkeys day and just got a reminder email from Bruce. (Thanks baby!)
I gotta tell ya, I got nothin’! I have been so busy working on promoting, writing, getting the kids ready for back to school (which means 2 in college this year–argh!) that my brain is obviously just fried.
So I hope you don’t mind, I’m just going to give you some links. Some pretty cool stuff happened yesterday and I shared it on my private blog but wanted to let you all know about it.
First, one of the most respected sites on the web–and one I’ve admired for such a long time–All About Romance, is featuring my September book, BLACK AT HEART as their “Books With Buzz.” Woo hoo–buzz! They did an interview with me and are offering 2 ARC’s to random commenters. Check it out and leave a comment for a chance to win:
Yesterday also marked another milestone for me at All ABout Romance: My first “DIK” review!
On that site, DIK = Desert Island Keeper and is what they call any book that gets an A review. They’ve reviewed many of my books and I’ve gotten everything from B+’s to F’s! (ouch!) But this is my first ever DIK and I am absolutely thrilled. It’s here.
And finally, another super-exciting day. My 2nd-in-a-row “Keeper” grade from another of the toughest reviewers on the web, Mrs. Giggles! Check it out.
Two “A” range reviews on the same day on the same book from two of the toughest sites out there?
Whew, is it any wonder I was a little goofy-headed yesterday and forgot to blog?
Anway, please celebrate with me. This business is so damn tough. For me, yesterday was a really great day!

Leslie Kelly used to say she wanted to be a doctor when she grew up, but then she discovered Nancy Drew books. Being a flashlight-under-the-covers-nose-in-book reader throughout her childhood, she couldn’t think of anything else she’d rather do as an adult than continue to lose herself in fictional stories. Her real life marriage of 20 years to the man of her dreams is a constant reinforcement that happily-ever-afters really can happen…and that they’re worth writing about. Living in Maryland, Leslie spends her non-writing time laughing a lot with the above-mentioned romance hero and their three daughters. Though an author of more than thirty sexy, contemporary comedies, she has recently branched out to write dark romantic suspense under the pseudonym Leslie Parrish.

Leslie, Hope all goes well with your 3 daughters (including the 2 in college age) with their return to school. Seems just yesterday that your oldest 2 were entering HS.
Great news about the reviews! While the subject matter is not my
cup-of-tea, if one were a RS reader, they’d best be reading yours. Good luck w/the sales.
