Clever title, huh? It’s Sunday night at 10 PM and I just had an “Oh My God!” moment, because I completely forgot about having to write a blog for Monday AM, nor do I have a topic for one! I wish I could think up something clever, and fast, but I’m still exhausted from conference so you’re out of luck.
I can tell you that it was terrific to see the Plotmonkeys in DC this past week. It was the RWA conference, and I wasn’t “officially” at the hotel. For me, it was a working vacation — I was there to plot with the monkeys and writing the story I need to finish ASAP, and didn’t spend much time out of the room. I did see Paula in DC, but missed many other that were there because I wasn’t hanging out downstairs in the bar or lobby. I hope you’ll forgive me – I really was working!
Since I really don’t have a topic today, I’ll be doing an “impromptu” giveaway. Two winners who post today will receive one of the following autographed books of mine: Bad Boys on Board (anthology), Surf’s Up (anthology), or Wild For Her (single title). The winners will get to choose whichever of those books they’d like!
All you have to do is post anything today, then check back tomorrow. The winners will be posted at the end of Tuesday’s blog!
PS: We’d love for everyone to personalize their gravatars! It’s super easy to do. All you have to do is visit http://en.gravatar.com/ (It’s a free service), link it to the email address you use here, and upload whatever image you’d like your gravatar to be! Once you do that, your new image will show up (instead of the blue gravatar image) in the comments section!

Janelle Denison finds it hard to believe that it’s been nearly 20 years since she first started writing romance novels. At first, it was a way to pass idle time while her husband worked swing shift, but before long it became an obsession to get published. Luckily, she kept at it (it took her over 5 years to get that first book published!) and is now a Waldenbooks, Barnes & Noble, and USA Today Bestselling author! Now, after selling over 40 plus novels, she finds that her Plotmonkey pals help to keep her stories fresh and unique, and she can’t imagine writing a story without their input. Janelle lives in Oregon with her husband, Don, along with two teenage daughters that keep life interesting.

I did a gravatar but i’m not sure if I did it right. lol. We will see I guess. It is supposed to be of me with a wedding dress I tried on and liked. :)

Ok, as long as you got work done, we will forgive you. I don’t think I would have had the restraint to do that.
As for the gravatar- right now I am still running off my laptop and don’t have any of my images on here. Once everything else is fixed I will go thru and find something I like. Five computers in the house only my laptop and netbook are working right.
Comment
I will hop over to the gravatar site. I’m having computer issues again, where I lose my connection midway into blogging or checking on things. Very Frustrating! I’d love to read “Surf’s Up”!!

I understand. It takes me at least two days to recover from national. Care to give the Jungle crawlers a hint as to what this newly plotted book is about?

I wish I could have gone to the conf in DC but alas I was here instead helping my mom organize her two spare rooms since my brother moved out and left a mess (long story LOL) and I moved three oak shelves for her. I have sore muscles in places where I didn’t know I had muscles!
Have a great day everyone even if it is Monday!

I’ll have to try that later. . . until then, what to say. . . hmm. . . happy moon landing day! (although way more exciting to me is the 33rd anniversary of Viking 1 landing on Mars today LOL) :)

Can’t really blame you for not having a topic after a working vacation. Count me in on the giveaway.
I’ll sort out my gravatar thingy later – right now its 2am where I am and I don’t have the brain power to even consider looking at it now.

I would love bad boys on board, but Janelle is not in it!

Please enter me in the contest, thanks!
I will check out my gravitar later when I’m more awake!

Hopefully, I don’t have to have a gravatar to enter the contest (I can’t even upload pictures to facebook, I have to steal the pics from my husband’s facebook page!).
Comment
Don’t enter me in the drawing…I already have both of those, I just wanted to say happy Monday to everyone.
I’m still pouting about not getting to go to conference but I’ve put my family on notice. Next year, I’m going with or without them – even if it is hubby’s weekend off. Although, I have to say, we got sooooo much work done around the house (we weed-eated and raked around 4 acres of pond!) it was almost worth it.

Hey Alannah!!!

Well at least your weekend was productive. We sent our oldest child to camp this week for the whole week. Even though the camp is basically 30 minutes away I am still kinda of weepy. She made 2 friends while we were unpacking her and ran off with them to explore before we left. I know this is a good thing, but…
ope you have a great week

Cher — as for what we plotted, I worked on a story for my new series, Julie plotted a Blaze, Leslie plotted the first book in her new paranormal series for NAL, and Karen plotted the second book in her “Most Eligible Bachelor” series.
I’m sure you’ll be hearing more about everyone’s new books soon!

Hi Janelle!! I
your books!!! You are solely responsible for my venture into erotic romance!!
I read “The Wilde Side” and it was all over. I was spoiled from then on ! Danielle Steel and Nicholas Sparks just wouldn’t do!
I have read (and have on my “keeper shelf”) all of your books. My absolute fave is
“Wilde Thing”. I would really love one of your auto-graphed books!!

Sounds like some great books. I am having problems with the gravatar, they want me to change nick names and I don’t want to.
