One of my most favorite shows is being cancelled — Life. I loved that series and really thought it had a good shot of staying around. I’m totally bummed!
How about you? Which shows are you happy to see renewed? And which ones are you sad to see go?

Janelle Denison finds it hard to believe that it’s been nearly 25 years since she first started writing romance novels. At first, it was a way to pass idle time while her husband worked swing shift, but before long it became an obsession to get published. Luckily, she kept at it (it took her over 5 years to get that first book published!) and is now a Waldenbooks, Barnes & Noble, and USA Today Bestselling author! Now, after selling over 45 plus novels, she finds that her Plotmonkey pals help to keep her stories fresh and unique, and she can’t imagine writing a story without their input. Janelle lives in Oregon with her husband, Don, along with two teenage daughters that keep life interesting.

Since I don’t watch a lot of t.v., I’m happy about “Supernatural”, “Heroes”, and “Grey’s Anatomy”. I think I need to add “Friday Night Lights” to my list after seeing Taylor Kitsch in “Wolverine”.

Most of my favorites made it back, but I really hope Chuck and Castle get another chance. I love both of those shows and would really miss them.

Most of the shows I watch are coming back. I don’t know if I will watch them anymore after the ending this season they really made me mad with some of it.
I love Hell’s Kitchen I hope it comes back too, I think he is so bad but they people really seem to learn from it. I know I would not make it with him. LOL

Per Ausiello at EW- Castle and Chuck have been renewed (although Chuck suffered some budget cuts) and as of this mornings tweet, so was Cold Case.
‘s.
Also on the tweet-Without a Trace is “likely over”. That upsets me greatly. As does Life being canceled. I am glad that they ended the season in the way that they did. Those are two of my faves. Was really enjoying The Unusuals too.
It has gotten to the point where I will only be watching the stuff I already watch but it would take a lot to drag me into watching anything new. I can’t be bothered to invest my time and energy in something they will cancel or not even allow to end properly.
The networks have become nothing but a bunch of

Why are they cancelling Life, I like that show. That show was good. I also like Cold Case, but I think they should switch nights for that show. I started to watch Harpers Island on Tivo, now they cancelled it. Geez I wanted to see it to the end.
The shows I watch are Grey’s, all CSI, Bones, House, Without a Trace, Survivor, Amazing Race, Numb3rs, NCIS, Priveledged, Law & Order: SVU & CI, some of Southland.
As you can see I like dramas.

Most of my shows are coming back (except for Lipstick Jungle). What is such a bummer is that they have to make ‘room’ for Jay Leno, so NBC has to cut a lot of dramas (or move them earlier, which is totally fine :)).
I heard they cut Paulina from ANTM. I wonder if they are replacing her or just going to have fewer judges.

Actually, I only watch one show on the list, and it was renewed, but I’m actually a little bit *not* happy about it — Smallville. . . nothing really specific, but it’s just sort of like maybe instead of going a season without Lex Luthor, they should have ended it with everyone, and gone with a Green Arrow spinoff or something. But hey, I still watch it, and will next year.

As long as CASTLE is coming back, I’m a happy camper.

Bones, NCIS, Cold Case,
Bummer on Chuck, Flashpoint, Castle, The Unit, and Numb3rs being on the bubble. Hope they make it back!
Pushing Daisies was…I’ll miss it.
I also hope Leverage makes it back on TNT’s schedule! LOVED that show.

Yay on Chuck! (I did hear they were going to have to trim the cast to make budget cuts. The season ended with Morgan leaving for Hawaii, and Awesome & Ellie getting married…I’m wondering if they’ll be gone.)
Boo on Reaper being canceled! It had a rocky start this season, but has gotten really good again.
Color me one who just can’t understand how Law & Order is still on TV after all this time.

Glad to see my favs will be back and especially my new fave “Castle.” I didn’t see Burn Notice on the list but I’m sure it will be starting up again in June as will the Closer another fav.
I agree about Law and Order, Leslie. When Jerry Orbach passed away it was never the same and I stopped watching it. I never liked the female detective they brought in. She was always trying to act like a man–the jeans, the leather jacket, the male attitude–instead of a strong, intelligent woman who was still very much a woman. I never watched Saving Grace or that new one about witness protection for the same reason. Yuck!

I’ll second that Yay on Chuck! (Thanks Ev, for the update.) And all my other favorites – Bones, Supernatural, 24, NCIS – are coming back too, so woo hoo! Janelle, these lists you give us are great! Thanks.

Survivor is back
what number is this one? 102.
Looks like all the rest of my favorites made it for another season, (Two and A Half Men, The Amazing Race, all the CSI’S, and Criminal Minds).
Janelle, thanks for the update.

OMG I had no idea King of the Hill was on the chopping block. That is my guilty little redneck secret. I will miss Hank, and the gang. Not to mention all that I have learned about Propane and Propane Accesories.
I really hope Castle comes back.
And as for Survivor……JT was the biggest cutie. I think each game brings and interesting mix of people.

loved Pushing Daisies, Samantha Who, and Sarah Connor Chronicles. also, love Chuck. If they keep canceling my favorite shows, I will just read more. Will not be watching Donald Trump or any of the reality shows.
Comment
I love Chuck and Castle, too! And, of course, all my reality shows: America’s Top Model, American Idol, So You Think You Can Dance, The Bachelorette (New series starting tonight!!!), The Biggest Loser, and Celebrity Apprentice!
And what’s up with the abrupt cancellation of Harper’s Island!
Katie — I was surprised also to see that Paulina had been cut from ANTM! Although she wasn’t one of my favorite judges, so I wasn’t upset to see her go. Just curious why they let her go!
Silver — I love Leverage, too! I’ll be super bummed if they don’t renew the series! I also really got into The Beast with Patrick Swayze, but with his health quickly declining, I’m not sure what they’re going to do with that series!
Leslie — I love Law and Order SVU. I watch it every week!

Most of my favorite shows will be back next season: Bones, Lost, 30 Rock, House, just to name a few. I hope Better of Ted makes it I like the episodes that i’ve seen so far. I’m sad Eli Stone and Dirty Sexy Money are being cancelled, but i;m glad the shows will come to a closure instead of just ending.
Comment
I’m totally psyched for Bones and Grey’s Anatomy to come back. But I don’t understand how One Tree Hill will work without Chad Michael Murray…he’s the main character. I missed the last episode, so I don’t know what happened – and the CW website is having issues loading the Full Episodes

Gosh, you get interested in a program and then they don’t renew it. I really liked Life and thought the plot and acting was very good.. Damien Lewis who played the main character was in the tv mini-series The Forsythe Saga. He was excellent in that role.
Glad my new favorite is coming back _I really look forward to watching Castle who just happens to be an author!

LIFE is cancelled? A quirky, cool show. Now I’m bummed.
Comment
My favorite shows are on cable – Breaking Bad and Rescue Me. So luckily, neither of those have been cancelled.

Wow, there are a lot of TV shows I’ve never heard of…
Nice to see my favorite time sucks will still be around: NCIS, Criminal Minds, Numb3rs (when I remember), The Mentalist … can you tell I tend to favor shows with hot, smart men?

I’m with you on “Life,” I am so upset that it is not coming back! Most of my favorites
are returning.

Most of the shows I like are renewed, yea! Thanks for the list Janelle. Hooray we get an ending for Dirty Sexy Money & Eli Stone!! I’m so glad to know others are watching The Bachelorette/Bachelor.
There are times I wonder why I watch it, but I do! I’m sorry to see The Unit not get renewed although it conflicts with another program I watch so I’ve not watched on a regular basis the last two years. It is a good show, intense.
All my favorites are having final episodes for the season, now what will I watch? Probably I will read more or watch DVD’s.
Everyone have a good day.

Too bad about prison break. I’m glad greys and private practice are coming back. I’ve been on csi overload for too long.
Comment
Most of my shows were picked up… Eli Stone and Dirty Sexy Money are going to be missed by me… *sniff*
Comment
I hope Better off Ted stays. I also like The Office and 30 Rock. I also had no idea that Eli Stone even was still on. O_o I also like “My Boys” on TBS – not on this list.
Comment
Janelle…Paulina said that they had to ‘cut the fat”, whatever that means…probably like every other show…Grey’s getting rid of probably one of the two who ‘died’….seems like other shows are doing the same
I adore CASTLE. I started watching it after recommends from here and my mom raving about it. So, so cute!
Law and Order’s Cutter is HOT! Especially, when he breaks accent and goes into his British accent…That’s why it’s still on. Man, love a smart lawyer with scruples (okay, for years, I had a crush on Sam Waterson…why, I don’t know). The two new detectives are so awesome together. The detective gal you were all talking about was from Wolf’s spin off, Conviction,…….he’s used two or three of the actors from that show on his other Law and Orders…..she was better on the other show one of the other gals is on CI, I believe with Chris Noth’s character). My family is obsessed with L and O’s. LOL

Life is being cancelled?
Well, at least there’s still Bones and hopefully Numb3rs, too. We get most of those shows on the list here in Finland and there are some we’ll probably see here sometime later.
Comment
Bones and Medium – BIG YEAH. I too liked Life and Flashpoint was growing on me. The Amazing Race is the only reality show we watch. I so want to be a contestant. The sad thing is I don’t want to be the older couple that gets eliminated early. We don’t watch sitcoms – most are pretty trite and I don’t think they are very funny. The last one I liked was Home Improvement with Tim Allen. Like Cold Case, so I hope they keep it. We watch House, NCIS, CSI, Numb3rs, Criminal Minds, Ghost Whisperer, and Without a Trace. The rest of what we watch is on PBS or the History Channel.

Hi everybody…I love the list here…I don’t really watch much television, but I do watch SVU regularly as well as NCIS…these two are my fave shows; NCIS most recently though…I really like Cold Case and Without A Trace, but they changed alot since I started watching them a couple of years ago…I have yet to get into Castle, but I really want to…I just need to get my schedule straightened out so that I can fit it in…
School is almost over…graduation in three weeks and then we are done…I can’t wait for summer vacation to start…
Janelle, it is so good to see you…I feel like I haven’t seen you in forever…lol…I hope that all is well with everyone…have a wonderful rest of the evening…
Peace and love,
Paula R.

Curious to why you think Flashpoint is done when it always wins its timeslot, brings in similar numbers as Ghost Whisperer and Numbers and is dirt cheap for CBS compared to those shows? Are you just going by Ausiello’s predictions, even though he is the only one that is predicting it will be gone (all others are predicting it will stay because of the reasons mentioned above)?
Comment
Certainly hope Castle is renewed. I love that show. All the characters are great. The banter between the h/h is like a great romance novel. And Nathan isn’t too hard on the eyes either.
Would love to see him on Dancing With The Stars – go Gilles – finale tomorrow.

All of the ones that I watch are going to be back – not that it matters here. We’re usually at least a month behind the US release of new seasons.
I’m not sure that One Tree Hill will be the same without Hilary Burton and Chad Michael Murray.

We’re really hoping that Chuck and Numb3rs will be renewed!

I’m so bummed about Pushing Daisies, it was so original. I also loved Dirty, Sexy Money. :*&#!:
I’m could care less about Kath & Kim and In the Motherhood.
I really hope My Name is Earl gets picked up… that show is awesome.

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles is a show that my daughter and I can watch together and it bums me out that it isn’t coming back…..or maybe….and we love Chuck. I never could understand why Pushing Daisies didn’t make it. Original shows like that are wonderful and instead we are fed a zillion reality shows and dumb sitcoms. I am turning more and more from TV to movies. Why get interested in something and just have it over? Like The Nine or any of the other shows I liked.

How I Met Your Mother! WOOT! BEST SHOW ON TELEVISION!
Don’t watch anything else but Dollhouse, and I’m decidedly “meh” about that one.
Comment
Sad, sad, sad about Pushing Daisies, but will be right there for all three of the final episodes. It’s cancellation was very short sighted of ABC and I can carry a grudge a long, long time.
It always amazes me to see a list like this. Some of those shows that are renewed don’t hold a candle to many of those cancelled. As someone else already said, more time for reading!
Comment
I’m so happy all my shows will be renewed: Bones, Heroes, Smallville, Supernatural and Chuck (for only 13 eppies). We’ve also gotten somewhat attached to Dollhouse (although I’m starting to realize that Eliza Dushku works better as a supporting cast member rather than a main character) and Sarah Connor Chronicles. Thanks for making this list. My hubby was just asking about this not too long ago.
