First and most importantly:

BUDDY IS 11 YEARS OLD TODAY!
NOW TO MY ADDICTION:
I suppose it could be worse. It’s not a hardcore substance. It’s not a liquid. It’s not even the Internet but that’s only because I now consider the Internet a part of me. No, I am addicted to a game called SCRAMBLE and it’s on my iPhone, which means it’s portable, which means it’s with me. Always. I keep it beside my bed where the charger is. I play at night before I go to sleep. I play in the car while waiting outside school for my daughter. I play when I should be writing. Like I said, I’m addicted. The cool part is that there is one, two, three or four player games. My daughters and I play against each other. I think if there was a dictionary component it might be better because as things stand, you can guess your way into a word and never know what it means.
Apparently it started on Facebook? I never played there. When I play Solo and right now my highest score is 56 points. I don’t know if that’s good or bad. I just know I can’t post anymore right now. My Scramble board is waiting …
Did you ever get addicted to an online game? If so which one? Anyone addicted to Scramble like me?
PS: The winner of Leslie’s surprise giveaway of an ARC of FADE TO BLACK is SILVER! Please contact Leslie at author @ lesliekelly . com (no spaces) with your snail mail info. Thanks and congrats!

Silver is at RT, I can, um, hold her copy for me if you want. BWWAAAHHHH!!!
I play Pogo. It’s enough of an addiction. I don’t even want to thing about putting Scramble on my iTouch.
Crap, now I have to check it out.

Texas Hold Em. Have been tempted to try the scrabble.
Happy Bday, Buddy.

Not too addicted to games, though Bejeweled2 does lure me from time to time.
My thing now is Twitter. OMG it’s crazy. Talk about time suckage. It’s insane…
Comment
Congrats Silver!
I love Bejeweled 2, but don’t take the time to play it very often. I have Word Mole on my blackberry and like it, but I haven’t played it very much. I’ll have to see about downloading a couple of other games to my phone. I do love Crosswords for my DS.

Happy Birthday, Buddy! Bless your heart, you sweet boy!
I’ve never played SCRAMBLE. I am seriously addicted to Free Cell and lately I’ve discovered Mahjong which is on my computer too. Oh. My. God. I love it! I realize that it’s truly not anything like playing the actual game with “4″ people but still I am sooo addicted! And I love it when I get all the matches. I sit at my computer with this big grin on my face. Stupid, I know but I can’t help myself. It’s the little things in life that mean so much. (Sigh)
Of course, now I’m going to have to check out SCRAMBLE and see what all the fuss is about. If I get addicted it’ll be on your head, Carly!
I received my copy of the June RT and there is a lovely picture and article on page 33 featuring Leslie Parrish aka Leslie Kelley!
ALSO in RT is a review of Carly’s book Lucky Streak AND it received 4 1/2 stars and it’s a TOP PICK. Here’s the review for inquiring minds:
“Part two of Phillips’ Lucky trilogy is even better than part one. Strong, well-drawn characters with real-life problems increase the reader involvement. In case you missed the first book, this one also stands on its own. But you will want them both, count on it!”
AND that’s not all folks…there is also a review of Julie’s Kiss of the Phantom which received 4 stars! Here’s the review:
“The third chapter iin Leto’s dynamic supernatural series is a wild chase through exotic locales. The heroine of this story is a treasure hunter with bendable ethics, and the collision of past and present magic ignites both passion and danger, making this a terrific addtion to the series. Hang on for the ride!”
Congratulations ladies! Woo Hoo

Wow, congrats on the reviews, ladies!
I do love Bejeweled. Pretty colors, hypnotic, soothing music…what saves me is playing the “free” version, which shuts off every five minutes. If I had uninterrupted access, it would be a bad thing.

Happy Birthday Buddy!
Congratulations Silver!
My addiction was, and I use that word lightly, Chuzzle! I began playing it on Yahoo and was so addicted to the game, I went and bought the software so I could play it on my daughters laptop while we were on our way to Houston (Mother was driving so don’t worry, no multi-tasking there).
Yeah I know I was too wrapped up in it all. My husband was beginning to complain that I was glued to the computer so I decided I needed to curb it for a while. LOL
I have since tried to only play ever so often, because I wasn’t getting ANYTHING done and I do mean anything! LOL
No Carly, I have never played Scrabble online. It sounds like fun though!
Well I am going to go and have a cup of coffee and burn a disk to be mailed this AM, so you guys have a great day!
SMILES ;o)

I’m excited! And I am NOT at RT, ev.
I wish I was, but we’re visiting friends 50 miles away. NEXT year, I’m going to RT. I’ll have a book to pim…er…tout.
RWA will be closer to home so I’ll be able to afford both.
I occasionally play Mafia Wars on Facebook. I can actually go a couple of days between fixes. My on-line addiction is blogs. I get caught up in reading my list and commenting, then checking for more comments, I comment, I check….Before I know it, hours have passed and I haven’t done a bit of revisions or new writing.
Have a great day! (Leslie, email coming your way.)

Happy Birthday, Buddy! And congrats, Silver. And yay on those great reviews!
Carly, no game addictions here, because I have enough distractions as it is. I try and avoid all those fun iPhone games or else I’d never get anything done. Although when we were on vacation last week, whenever we sat down to eat at a restaurant, we did play Who Wants to be a Millionaire.
p.s. Belated congratulations on your daughter’s Bat Mitzvah!

I feel like there’s so much going on today…
Congrats Silver!!!!
As for my addiction…that would be Javanoid – I will seriously sit and play that game for hours! Me on a typical night: “I should do homework. I’ll just play one game – and when I lose I’ll start homework. (10 min later) Well that doesn’t really count as a loss because the ball got stuck and I had no control. I’ll play one more game. (30 seconds later) That wasn’t even a real game; I have to at least make it to level 4…”
Minesweeper is a really fun and challenging game as well. Once you figure out the rules it will occupy much of your time trying to beat your high score – I encourage everyone to explore it.
Cher, I used to be obsessed with FreeCell and Mahjong too! My addiction arrested when my laptop didn’t have Mahjong on it – but now you’ve inspired me to find it online – Ugh! I’ll never get anything done.

Word Warp & Bejeweled on my iPhone take up most of my free time. Or else reading a book on one of the reader apps on there.
I’m addicted to a lot of things and they’re all on my iPhone.

What great reviews ladies, can’t wait to read these books.
Silver, remember to give us a review here after you read Leslie’s book. Lucky you winning that ARC. Enjoy.
I am not addicted to any games online. I did learn to use a mouse years ago by playing Solitaire on the computer. That was fun but I haven’t played in years. I take it Scramble is a word game. I think someone invited me to play on Facebook but I didn’t get involved!!
Carly, thanks for “friending” me on Facebook. My biggest addiction is reading & buying books!!
Comment
I am also hooked on the games. My favorites at the moment are MahJong, Pyramids and Jewel Quest. When I need a change I play Collaspe, Bookworm and Free Cell.

Happy b-day Buddy!

Dang it Silver! I thought you were at RT. My bad. Where is it next year? Maybe I should start planning for that now, and DragonCon too!

My addiction is bloxie. It’s at candystand.com and I play one game every day. Totally hooked

I’ve played Scramble on Facebook, so I can understand the addiction.
I’m not addicted to any games at the moment – I deliberately uninstalled Solitaire and Freecell from my computer because its just too easy to procrastinate. I don’t have the time to look for games to get addicted to because I’m too busy studying and reading.
