It’s 11:00 Monday night as I’m writing this…I just remembered Tuesday’s my blog day and I totally forgot and I’m super tired and I’m still screeching at the TV after watching this week’s Tivo’d episode of 24. GRRRR!
Anyway, my fatigue, weariness, and Tony Almada-inspired irritation are to the jungle’s benefit. I’m in the mood to give something away. Here’s the deal…
I’ll send one ARC of my upcoming Leslie Parrish book FADE TO BLACK to anyone who agrees to post a review of it or even just talk about it somewhere–message board, Amazon, etc. Good or bad (but hey, I’m confident in this book…I’m pretty sure it’ll be good!)

This is a dark romantic suspense, but let there be no doubt, it is most definitely a romance first and foremost. And almost all the really dark stuff occurs off the page. I really think any romance reader would like it…and romantic suspense readers will (hopefully) love it!
Just leave a comment and tell me where you can blog about or review the book and you’re entered for a random drawing to win one.
And feel free to join in with me in kvetching about 24!

Leslie Kelly used to say she wanted to be a doctor when she grew up, but then she discovered Nancy Drew books. Being a flashlight-under-the-covers-nose-in-book reader throughout her childhood, she couldn’t think of anything else she’d rather do as an adult than continue to lose herself in fictional stories. Her real life marriage of 20 years to the man of her dreams is a constant reinforcement that happily-ever-afters really can happen…and that they’re worth writing about. Living in Maryland, Leslie spends her non-writing time laughing a lot with the above-mentioned romance hero and their three daughters. Though an author of more than thirty sexy, contemporary comedies, she has recently branched out to write dark romantic suspense under the pseudonym Leslie Parrish.

Well, that just sucks as I am not allowed to do things like that anymore because of my job and who I work for.
Talk about taking all the fun out of life.
So I will wait until I can get my hands on my own copy. I am hoping someone at the bookstore spots an ARC of it.

I would love to be able to review it at my blog. It sounds like the great start to a new series, and I’m loving that it really focuses on the romance.

Good morning everyone…it has been a long time since I have blogged here this early…
Les you don’t have to count me in for the contest…I already have the book on its way to me from Amazon when it comes out…I will talk about it to anybody and everybody anyway…I just love your work….I still have so many reviews of books to write…too far behind…this is probably why I should really start my own blog, so that I can do my reviews of books I love in a timely manner…
Good luck with this new work…I am confident you will do fine though….
I don’t watch 24, so I won’t be able to kvetch with you…I hope that you all have wonderful day…gotta go, talk to you all later…
Talk to you all later…love you guys…
Happy Earth Day alll!!!!!!
Peace and love,
Paula R.

I would love to read and review Fade to Black. I always post reviews of books I read on my blog and can’t wait to read Fade to Black. I’ve already got Fade to Black on my tbb list.
I’m with you on 24 and Tony. I was pretty much yelling at the tv last night…good thing no one else was at my house. I know I should have seen it coming, but as always, 24 always tricks me on at least a couple of things each season.
Comment
I could write a review on Amazon for the book

I would love to read Fade to Black!
I will talk about it on my Myspace and for those of my friends that refuse to use Myspace it will be on my Facebook as well.
I haven’t figured out why some people won’t use both but I have a few holdouts. I like Myspace better because you can personalize it better and add music and you can’t on Facebook, BUT to each his own I guess! LOL
Great give away Leslie! AND even if I don’t win a copy I will go get it at my bookstore when I am able! SMILES ;o)

I could review it on Amazon and on a blog I’m part of called Moonlight, Lace and Mayhem. I would also post a review to Goodreads.

No big surprise. I’ll bite. And bitch.
I LOVE Tony! What are they doing to the man? What’s the agenda? And WHY?
Comment
I have Fade To Black already on my “To Read” list so don’t count me in for the contest. I’ll be sure and talk about it to anybody who will listen.
I’ve never watched “24″ so can’t do any kvetching. Have no idea who Tony whats-his-name is. Sorry
Have a fab day all,
Cher

I’d love to be able to review it for you, sorry I’ve never seen 24!

Fade To Black sounds like a GREAT read!! If I don’t win it I will have to buy it. It sounds like a book that deserves talking about and passing the book on to others to enjoy!! What can be better than a hot romance with suspense thrown in??? Amazon is always a good place to review any book, I always look there first for reviews!
Comment
Les, maybe Tony is undercover for something bigger than FBI? To stop people who we think he is working for? No I’m not smart. I read the suggestion on the Internet.

Hello Leslie,
Would love to have the opportunity to review your book, “Fade to Black”. I’ll write a review anywhere you want me to.
Have a great day.

I would review it on Amazon.

I would love to read your book and review it on my blog. I love romance suspense novels and would also share the information among friends who love to read.

So glad so many of you want to read it–thanks so much!!
And Carly, yeah, I wondered that myself. But given what he did to Larry? OMG–that scene was just awful last week!!

I would love to review it on Twitter, Facebook and Amazon!! I am excited about reading it…

Good Morning!
Hmm…I would definitely review your book on Amazon. My sister made me sign up for GoodReads a while back but I have yet to explore it, so I could start reviewing there. I would also scour the myspace and facebook reading groups and post reviews there as well…
Oh…and I’d tweet about it
Sadly I am not a 24 fan, but does anyone here watch Bones or One Tree Hill on Monday nights…those are my favs!
Try to keep cool today! Apparently SoCal broke hundred year old record highs yesterday…and Monterey, CA is uncomfortably warm — if I didn’t have classes all day I’d definitely find my way to the beach!

Can’t win, really. Have won too many prizes from PlotMonkeys as is, I suspect. However, as much as I would love an ARC of Fade to Black, I’ll wait and buy a copy :-)
Just wanted to pop in and say I had to stop watching 24. Blood pressure problems.

Leslie, I can’t wait to read Fade to Black and will happily post a review on my blog!
I really wanted to believe Tony was a good guy, but now I’m convinced he’s bad to the bone. And Leslie, you’re so right about that scene with Larry last week. It made me cringe! I couldn’t believe it! There’s absolutely no way for Tony to redeem himself now. Jack’s gonna get him…
Jessica – Bones is one of my favorite shows! And I’m in Southern Cal where, yes, we’re having quite a heatwave. It’s supposed to drop twenty degrees by Friday though. I bet Monterey is beautiful right now!
Comment
jessica- I don’t know how hot it actually got, but Heather stated she wasn’t going anywhere outside yesterday, even to the pool. She doesn’t have class until tonite, so I hope it cools down for her. I worry about her asthma. How hot did it get anyway? Not that she would know.
Comment
I am not a fan of 24 either, but love, love, love Bones!!

I would love a chance to win an ARC copy. I can review it on Amazon, B&N and on my facebook page. I could also tell many of the moms that I know. I have three kids under 4 so I know a lot of moms (and meeting more all the time ;-)) Hope you are all having a good day. It is rainy and damp here in Massachusetts.

Love to leave comments anywhere, from a male perspective. How many of those do you get??

I would love to read it early. I would review it on my blog and on my Harlequin Challenge blog. Thanks for this opportunity!

Have a blog and several book groups I post at. Would love the chance to read this.

Well, you already have tons of interested parties, but I haven’t read any of your books yet, and I’m looking forward to finding a new favorite suspense writer (my personal choice of the romance genres!). I can post a review on Amazon, GoodReads and my personal blog.

I don’t watch 24 so “no comment” on that! For me on Monday night it is Dancing With The Stars, can’t miss that.
Leslie, not sure how good my reviews are but I would post it on The Challenge at eHarlequin & comment on other blogs plus telling my friends that read. I won’t feel bad if someone else wins.

Memememememememememememe!

Hi Leslie – I’m a big fan of this blog post
I’ll talk it up on my book challenge blog, or TGTBTU – and I generally mention what I’m reading on twitter too :)
Comment
ev,
Temp 99 deg. in Burbank yesterday. Should have been hotter where Heather is, as the farther one travels West in the SFV, it’s generally hotter. Many cities had over 100 deg., &, last night, the low was 61!
Leslie, please eliminate me from the review contest. Thanks.
Comment
I can’t wait to read this! I can post it on twitter, facebook and myspace.
Comment
I’m willing to read it and review it. read something a bit diffrent mmm sound like a great idea.
Comment
@ev: My mom claims it reached high 90s in Coronado which simply astounds me. It was over 100 in parts of San Diego as well. I don’t know for sure cause I never actually checked, but I wouldn’t be surprised if we hit 90s here in Monterey either.
It was cooler today, mid to high 80s. Ironically, as I said earlier that if I didn’t have classes I’d go to the beach – well, we had a power outage that closed campus and effected nearby areas as well. My classes have now been canceled. However since I was without a computer for most of the day I now have to frantically finish up a presentation to email to the rest of my group for tomorrow. *sigh*

Leslie what a great prize! I will definitely write a review. Sorry I don’t watch 24 but my mom loves it she has been trying to get me hook for like 3 years now. Maybe i should start watching

I can write a review on the romancejunkies book club. They always want to know what you are reading and what you think of the book.

Sorry I can’t vent about 24 with you. I did watch an episode or so early on, but it was too depressing. Watched Alias and stopped for the same reason. The total disregard for life got me. Anyway….I do like romantic suspense. I don’t have a website, but I work in a small county library. I’m the children’s librarian, but I also do much of the adult purchasing. I have quite a few patrons that like romantic suspense and I’m always looking for new authors for them. Best part is I get to read everything first and give my review/recommendation. Thanks.

Congratulations SILVER!!! After a totally random drawing, # 31 was the winner. Drop me a note with your snail mail addy and I’ll get an arc out to you asap.
To everyone else–thanks so much for the enthusiasm! I will definitely be giving away more ARC’s of Fade To Black (as well as the other books in the series) in upcoming weeks.

Looking forward to this series. Hope it does well for you. Actually was speaking with Author Susan Crandall just last month about these books. She was looking for some new romantic suspense titles and I thought of these.
