Carly’s Jungle Madness
Carly Icon

LUCKY STREAK is in stores in June – 3 months from now.
I have a signed ARC (advanced reading copy) for someone who tells me what your favorite romance genre currently is. Me? I’m still looking for a good contemporary to keep me company when I’m not writing! Save the contemporary, Save the world. (whoever coined that phrase, I’m loving it!)

*****

Long ago, a witch proclaimed an eternal curse that every Corwin male who married for love would be destined to lose his woman and his fortune…

The good news is that Mike, a police officer, awakens after some hard partying in Vegas $100,000 richer and married to Amber, the gorgeous woman he met the night before. The bad news: His last name is Corwin. The really bad news is that Amber’s a consummate con who took his money and ran. Seems the family curse has finally hit him.

But to Amber, Mike isn’t business as usual. Something about her new husband softens her steely heart, even as she betrays him. And Mike, first hell-bent on divorce, welcomes a second chance to defy the curse… and turn his run of bad fortune into a lucky streak!

Lucky Streak

Lucky Streak

Carly

CarlyCarly Phillips would like to take 100% credit for all her stories but the truth is, Carly’s strength is writing family, emotion, funky elderly people and animals. She couldn’t plot her way out of a paper bag, which is why she smartly found her plotmonkey pals early on in her writing career. Thanks to their support, Carly is now a NYT Bestselling author of 23 plus novels. Because writing doesn’t keep her busy enough, Carly is also a wife, a mother of one preteen and one teenage daughter, the primary care giver of her soft coated Wheaten terrier and an expert carpool mom.

Good morning. I am a contemporary reader. And am currently reading Robyn Carr’s Temptation Ridge and loving it. After that, am reading Second Chance Pass by her – that Virgin River Series is just awesome. Next up is Susan Mallery’s Sunset Bay.

I love a romantic mystery – not romantic suspense really, since those are getting too close to thriller/slasher/chop-em-up. A good mystery with a romantic HEA is for me! Debbie

:wave:I grew up reading historical romances like Rosemary Rogers and Georgette Heyer (yes, quite a difference between the two) with a throw in of Johanna Lindsay and Kathleen Woodiwiss so I’m always looking for a really good historical. But on the otherhand, if I find a good contempary like ones written by you, Carly, or even the latest by Alison Kent, that sound really good, I’ll go for those. Nowadays, its just trying to find the time to actually sit down and read is the real trick! :angel5

I don’t have a favorite romance genre since it just depends on what I’m in the mood to read. I’m not real picky about what I read as long as the story line catches my interest and it has some element of romance. My to be read pile of books is a mixture of everything. But I’m not crazy about historicals unless it is by one of my favorite authors.
