Meet…The Other Me!
Leslie Icon

As you all probably know, I am working hard on a dark romantic suspense trilogy for NAL, which comes out next summer. I am really deep into that world right now, driving through book 3, which not only has its own stand-alone story, but also has threads that go back through books 1 and 2 (and even before book 1 starts!) It’s very twisty and difficult and I’m loving every minute of it!

Anyway, I don’t have a ton of time right now, so I thought I would just stop in and introduce you to Leslie Parrish. The other me.

I don’t have a website up yet, but it is coming VERY soon and looks fabulous, thanks to the terrifically talented Barb Hoeter of RF Web Designs. I will let you know when www.authorleslieparrish.com goes live.

In the meantime, though, I did “unveil” my new Myspace page. You can find it at www.myspace.com/authorleslieparrish

It’s not fully tricked out yet, but there are photos of the characters, and, in the blog area, the prologue of book 1. There are also videos…but since I’m posting those here today, you don’t have to go just for those! While you’re there, please “friend” me…my little friend list looks so sad, especially compared to my Leslie Kelly one. :drama:

Below are a couple of videos I’ve done. The first is about the entire trilogy, the second just about book one. Hope you enjoy!

PS: I was soooooooo excited to get a fabulous author quote from one of my fave authors, JoAnn Ross! She read book one and very kindly said, “”Hold-your-breath romantic suspense with one of the most chillingly evil villains I’ve ever read. FADE TO BLACK crackles with dark, edgy danger.” :snoopy: (And I didn’t pay her or anything! lol!)

Leslie

LeslieLeslie Kelly used to say she wanted to be a doctor when she grew up, but then she discovered Nancy Drew books. Being a flashlight-under-the-covers-nose-in-book reader throughout her childhood, she couldn’t think of anything else she’d rather do as an adult than continue to lose herself in fictional stories. Her real life marriage of 20 years to the man of her dreams is a constant reinforcement that happily-ever-afters really can happen…and that they’re worth writing about. Living in Maryland, Leslie spends her non-writing time laughing a lot with the above-mentioned romance hero and their three daughters. Though an author of more than thirty sexy, contemporary comedies, she has recently branched out to write dark romantic suspense under the pseudonym Leslie Parrish.

Oh, Leslie! This is all so awesome. I cannot wait to get my hands on all three books to read!

And completely off topic – I may be a little slow  but I finally put together the reference for “Slow Hands” and “Heated Rush”. I had no idea you were a Pointer Sisters fan. :yourock

Wow! That is an impressive quote from JoAnn Ross. I guess I really need to ask a few authors to preview mind for quotes. :blushing:

    Have a great day all!

Not that I want to gloat or anything…but I’ve read the first two books of Leslie’s new series and they are PHENOMENAL. I personally guarantee that these books are going to blow you away, especially if you like your romantic suspense to have a strong romance. There are very few authors who can achieve a balance between the true thriller and the true romance, but Leslie has done it!

I can’t wait for you all to read these books!!!!

Great covers. NAL consistently does the BEST covers!

Wow Leslie, I am so impressed. The videos are great and the trilogy sounds amazing. I cannot wait for these books to come out next year. You are making me think of Cindy Gerard & Karen Rose that were introduced to me here at the Plotmonkeys & now I can add you to that type of book. I’m looking forward to reading them and also your new website. You have been a busy lady. :yourock

So glad to hbear you guys are getting excited about this for me. I am really having a ball. I am also, though, looking forward to getting back to Blaze–I get to write a 2-in-1 with Julie, to go with her Fairy Godmother story. Mine is a twist on the Princess and the Pea. Where the princess is a street kid and ends up with a werewolf. Such fun…

In the meantime, though, back to dark, twisty danger. :snoopy:
