Happy Halloween!!!

(Yes, I know I used this photo last year…but it’s kinda classic, IMO)

The weather in Florida has been very brisk of late…which means only one thing you know. It’s cool enough in the US to ship chocolate again! Yeah! So today, I offer, this beautiful and delicious fall collection of chocolates from my absolute favorite chocolatier, See’s! Also, because my upcoming book (only a month left until release…have you pre-ordered your copy yet?) has beautiful fall colors in the cover, I’m also offering a signed ARC to this week’s winner! By all reports, Julie Leto was a sweet child once, somewhat shy, preferring to play quietly in her room making up stories. However, being raised with three brothers in a loud, primarily Italian household did have its influences and Julie discovered her inner tough girl. That’s probably why most of her heroines kick serious butt. Writing sassy heroines has worked out, as she’s sold over forty books to four publishers featuring strong, confident women. Julie lives in Florida with her daughter, a spoiled dachshund, a haughty lynx-point Siamese and a wide range of relatives all within driving distance.

Rachel!! Did you grow up thinking this holiday was for you- just one big party with candy?? Have fun!!

We are back in the 50′s so it is :jumpleaf again, not :freezin like it was the other day with all that snow.

After all the little :ghost: :ghosty1 :mummy :mummy2 and :hallwitchy leave, we are heading out to see Nightmare Before Xmas in 3D.

Middle boy is going to be Darth Vader :darth, youngest is Diego and oldest is Wall-E. Should be a good time for all! I have a baby Jaguar mask (to help out youngest). We have rain in the forcast (go figure).

Wow–Thanks everyone for the warm birthday wishes! And ev–yes, I always thought it was all for me but I couldn’t figure out why we never trick-or-treated on my brother’s birthday!
See’s is the best chocolate–here in ‘Bama they set up in the mall every holiday season and hand out samples so my whole office spends our lunch hours hanging out at the mall for about two months. It’s great for getting our Christmas shopping done though.
Alright–off to help finish my godson’s costume–he’s going as Alvin (from the Chipmunks) dressed as Batman since he couldn’t decide between the two. Should be interesting! Thanks again for the birthday greetings this morning–hope everyone has a great, safe Halloween!

We do not have any near me In Missouri, but I grew up in Cali with See’s all the time. In fact my parents just went on vacation to Cali and I made them bring me back candy. It only lasted three days before it was gone.

Happy Halloween everyone. Don’t eat too much chocolate. We always make Halloween candy cookies the weekend after trick-or-treating. Just chop up the choclate candy bars (any kind) and use them instead of chocolate chips in your favorite cookie recipe.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN everyone! Love the pumpkin picture :) Sure wish I’d get a tricker treater looking like that tonight! I am in the NW panhandle of Florida and it has been really cold Wednesday it was 34 when we got up in the morning but I won’t complain, it is a big break from all of the humidty and heat. Yum chocolate my favorite thank-you!

This was an amazing year for trick or treating for us…the weather was so nice that we did not even need to wear coats. Ususally it is about 5 degrees or a blizzard. So, this was an excellent day. :trickboo

That’s how I spent my Halloween. That’s how I felt. Last home game forever. My daughter is a senior, a cheerleader, an only child ready to go off to college, and I’m a single mom. So, is how I felt last night as it was also parents’ night. But, as I promised my daughter, I didn’t cry (on the outside anyway). I just treasure every single day that I have left to spend with her. Being a mom of a senior is so hard! So, I definitely could use some good chocolate and a book!

Nancy- I know exactly how you feel. Mine is heading 3000 miles away in January and we have never been apart for more than 11 days in the last 23 years. It’s killing me.
