I definitely have a lot to say and I’m too exhausted and too tired to say it. My mother in law is in the hospital; my daughter has had an ongoing migraine; I’m revising my heroine’s personality and keep getting interrupted by life; I loved Janelle’s cat post and all of your replies!
: The new icons are fantastic! :grouphug My Halloween party was cancelled and we already bought the costumes :*! and costumes are nonrefundable!
But I’m picking up my new car tomorrow
and I am NOT looking forward to my dogs barking from their crates on Halloween every time the doorbell rings! :trickboo
I think you get my gist.. Good things, bad things, all add up to BUSY things! I’m sorry, no good blog for today. Instead, I will leave you with a joke.
He Said, I Said
He said to me . . . I don’t know why you wear a bra; you’ve got nothing to put in it.
I said to him . . . You wear pants don’t you?
He said to me . . ….. Shall we try swapping positions tonight?
She said . That’s a good idea – you stand by the ironing board while I sit on the sofa and fart!
He said to me. … What have you been doing with all the grocery money I gave you?
I said to him . ….Turn sideways and look in the mirror!
He said to me. ….. Why don’t women blink during foreplay?
I said to him .. . They don’t have time
He said to me. . How many men does it take to change a roll of toilet paper?
I said to him .. . We don’t know; it has never happened.
He said to me. . Why is it difficult to find men who are sensitive, caring and Good- looking?
I said to him .. . They already have boyfriends.
I said…What do you call a woman who knows where her husband is every night?
He said. . . A widow.
He said to me . .. . Why are married women heavier than single women?
I said to him . . . Single women come home, see what’s in the fridge and go to bed. Married women come home, see what’s in bed and go to the fridge.

Warm wishes for a Happy Birthday go out to Plotmonkey Pal Lori Barnes today! We hope you have a fabulous, fun-filled day!

Carly Phillips would like to take 100% credit for all her stories but the truth is, Carly’s strength is writing family, emotion, funky elderly people and animals. She couldn’t plot her way out of a paper bag, which is why she smartly found her plotmonkey pals early on in her writing career. Thanks to their support, Carly is now a NYT Bestselling author of 23 plus novels. Because writing doesn’t keep her busy enough, Carly is also a wife, a mother of one preteen and one teenage daughter, the primary care giver of her soft coated Wheaten terrier and an expert carpool mom.

Hugs Carly! Sounds like one of those weeks that never ends, no matter how badly you want it to. I hope your MIL is out of the hospital soon, and that your daughter can get some relief from her headaches. I know several people who get them, so my heart goes out to the poor thing. Not fun.
Cute joke today – thanx for the much-needed giggle. And your post was just fine. I visit everyday if I can, and I like the variety of things you guys do here. Keeps it fun :)

We all have those days Carly! Hope your mom is ok and that the kids migraine goes away. I hate those.
Go out side and find a big :jumpleaf to jump into and enjoy the nice weather. At least no more snow for a bit.
I am not looking forward to the doorbell tomorrow with the dogs either. Too bad about the party. Hold on to them and wear them next year then. :trickbatman & :dominatrix:
What kind of car are you getting?? I need a new :hallwitchy

Carly, I wish the best for your mother-in-law and for your daughter. My sister gets migraines, but lately she’s been doing ok.
As much as we shouldn’t wish for the day or the week to be over quickly, because once it’s gone, there’s go getting it back, there certainly are weeks in life that you just can’t wait for Saturday.
I have a lot on my plate right now too, and I’m a little flustered. Let’s take a moment to re-focus, have a good cup of coffee (or tea…which ever you prefer) and a really good piece of chocolate (that’s the important part). It may not solve all your problems, but it’ll make you feel good at the moment, which in turn will give you the courage to deal with everything one step at a time. Thanking God for all the good things in my life at the moment, and all the good things I’ve had throughout my life so far, sometimes helps put things into perspective and get through moments like this. Remember, it’s just a moment in life. Next week you’ll face something else. Hopefully something good. Enjoy the new car.

Happy Birthday, Lori!
Carly, you’re having quite a week. Hope your M-I-L gets out of the hospital soon and your daughter feels better. :hug2:
I always love strolling through the Jungle every morning to see what the Plotmonkeys are up to blog or nonblog. It’s always a delight here.
Thanks for the chuckle this rmorning. I can certainly relate to a barking dog when the doorbell rings on Halloween night. I never look forward to that. Sorry your party got cancelled.
Things will get better. You’re picking up your new car today! That’s definitely something to celebrate!
Have a better day!

Carly, sorry about your MiL and daughter. Hope things ease up there. This week is officially fired, just for you! :grouphug (But for you getting the new car! Yay!)
(On the other hand, my week has been a series of
)
This will be the Newfie puppy’s first Halloween. Nothing like 80 pounds of drool hitting the front door every five minutes. I’m betting the DH parks out on the front porch.
Just out of curiosity, is anyone here doing NaNoWriMo? This will be my 3rd year.
And Carly?

Big hugs for your daughter and MIL, and for you because it’s tough when those we care about aren’t feeling well. :hug2:
Silver – I’m Nano-ing…I’ve gotten signed up but that’s as far as I’ve gotten. The site was running so slow yesterday I gave up on trying to add friends/etc. I don’t know what I’m writing yet, but I’ll figure something out! :devilbanana

Carly, I hope your mother-in-law gets better and gets to go home soon. I’m still waiting to hear whether or not the doctors decided to put my grandfather in the hospital.
It’s too bad about your Halloween party. I’m still trying to put together my costume. Tomorrow will be all about walking my nieces and nephews around where I work so they can do this: :trickboo

Silver – it seems you have quite a few stories! :happy2: I’m going to try again tonight or tomorrow to get my profile and everything updated and when I do I’ll look you up. I just kept my boring name so if I don’t find you, you can find me as Alannah Lynne (original, huh?)

Karen, Sorry that the day was pretty awful, & hope the health issues in your family will improve quickly.
You may already have heard this, but, my BIL (when I was married) had migraines for years until discovering his were caused by milk & chocolate, &, when he stopped eating those, the migraines disappeared. Just a thought…
Anyway, hope things get better soon. At least you have your upcoming new car to make tomorrow a little better.
