With October being Breast Cancer Awareness month, I wanted to giveaway something special that would remind the winner of the power of breast cancer awareness. With that in mind, I’m giving away a beautiful Brighton “Power of Pink” charm bracelet ($60.00 value).
Each year, Brighton specially designs a new Breast Cancer Awareness bracelet to help raise money that goes to various breast cancer charities. A portion of the purchase price of the bracelet is donated, and over the past few years Brighton has given over THREE MILLION DOLLARS to breast cancer causes with the sale of these bracelets. This year, Brighton has truly outdone themselves in creating a charm bracelet that celebrates the Circle of Life and all the wonderful women in our lives: our friends, our daughters, our sisters, and our mothers.
All you have to do to enter this contest is post on today’s blog. Winner will be announced on Sunday, so be sure to stop by over the weekend to check and see if you’re the winner!

Warm wishes for a Happy Birthday go out to Plotmonkey Pal Stacy Ahlgren today! We hope you have a fabulous, fun-filled day!

Janelle Denison finds it hard to believe that it’s been nearly 20 years since she first started writing romance novels. At first, it was a way to pass idle time while her husband worked swing shift, but before long it became an obsession to get published. Luckily, she kept at it (it took her over 5 years to get that first book published!) and is now a Waldenbooks, Barnes & Noble, and USA Today Bestselling author! Now, after selling over 40 plus novels, she finds that her Plotmonkey pals help to keep her stories fresh and unique, and she can’t imagine writing a story without their input. Janelle lives in Oregon with her husband, Don, along with two teenage daughters that keep life interesting.

Thanks for posting about breast cancer awareness. Coming from a family where half the women have had it, I’m very adamant about spreading the word. I’ve lovingly made pink ribbons this year with little handwritten tags that say: “For the Cure(www.komen.org) on them, and I’ve been handing them out since the beginning. The bracelet is absolutely gorgeous and any woman would be so lucky to have it. Have a great weekend all and good luck!

What a beautiful bracelet! I have always donated to breast cancer research. But this year my mom was diagnosed and then had 2 lumpectomies and then a mastectomy. She has been cancer free for six months now and I have never been more grateful for the research that allowed her doctors to find the lump early. Have a great weekend everyone!

What a great way to get everybody’s attention, I am happy to see more people making people aware of Breast Cancer my mom has been dealing with it and at the same time my dad had liver cancer and didn’t make it. I had lost my job at same time too(office closed) So I had my hands full and learned a ton of hope important it is to watch your body for changes. I make sure I am tested and my daughters too.
Beautiful bracelet, who wins it will love it.

what a beautiful bracelet.. breast cancer has taken a loved one in our family a few years ago, and has touched the lives of so many of the people i know. I turned 40 this year and i need to schedule a mammogram, i had a scare myself but turned out to be fibrocystic lumps instead which run in all my sisters and mom, but i still think i should talk to my doc about another mammo just to make sure nothing has changed..
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.. hubby gets a 3 day pass starting tonite and they are bussing them back tonite and i have to go pick him up.. we might get one more visit before they leave for Iraq.. so this weekend is a treasured one..

I lost my mother to breast cancer 12 years ago because she refused to go to the doctor or have a mammogram. And she didn’t let any of us kids know something was wrong until it was way too late. As much as I hate mammograms I have one every year. If you care about your family be sure to get one EVERY year.

My family has been lucky in that no one has had to go through the anxiety and trauma of Breast cancer but it is good to see you trying to raise even more awareness of it.
There are a lot of people in a lot of places doing the same thing but until we can say we really have reduced the incidence, every bit is helpfull

That’s a beautiful bracelet! It will make an especially wonderful prize!
We lost a sister to breast cancer in 1975. She was diagnosed in February
of 1974 and she was gone in August of 1975. She was a single Mom
with a 3 1/2 y/o daughter, whom Honey and I raised. This insidious
disease touches every family. Daily I go to the Breast Cancer Site
where I , FREE of all costs, click on a button which helps provide
mammograms for women who cannot afford to pay for them. I do
this in honor of our sister, Audrey Castillo. I ask that your readers
consider taking on this voluntary assignment in honor of all those women
and men who have survived this disease and those who have not. It
only takes less seconds!

What a fantastic Friday prize, Janelle. The bracelet will serve a dual maybe even a triple purpose! One of us will be very happy to win it, everyone that will sees it will more aware of breast cancer & it will donate to breast cancer. They have made great strides but they need to keep working on it.
Everyone enjoy your weekend, have fun! We are having a taste of fall with cooler, breezy weather. Love this time of year.
