And since it’s been awhile, a Bailey update (Buddy is his happy, mellow self). Miss Crazy however, has a new thing. If someone comes into the bedroom, she hops on top of me. Here’s an example of my life currently. Now I fell asleep shortly after this photo. An afternoon nap. And I felt her standing over me as if I were under a bridge, for a good long while. Weird.

Great book trailer Carly! Love the music. (FYI – Shouldn’t it be “Renowned” instead of “renowed”) Can’t wait to read Lucky Charm! Good luck with “Miss Crazy”. Not sure what that is about.
My husband has been out of town all week. Whenever he is out of town if our daughter is upstairs and I am downstairs, Spike will park himself on the stair landing. If both of us are upstairs he will lie on the landing as well. I’m assuming it’s a protection thing.

My dad’s dog always walks the house at night when I’m home. She doesn’t know where to sleep because she has to protect more than one person. If my sister and her kids are in too, she has to sleep in the hall floor between all the bedrooms.

Got to let you know that Harlequin sent me Lucky Charm for the September mailing. I have already read it and loved. I tried to read it all in one day, but with three kids 3 and under that just wasn’t doable. Can’t wait for the next installment.

Bailey, Bailey, Bailey. I know your pain Carly. Our new Doxie rescue, Max, can not be more than 3 inches from me at any time. Seriously. The only time I get to myself is in the shower. No one is allowed near me. He sleeps between hubby and I as close to me as he can get. Mind you, he is supposed to be hubby’s dog. haha.
And our son adopted a new dog from the shelter on Monday. His name is Blue and he is part Austrailian Cattle Dog. So far this week he has been with us while daddy is working. He climbs over the radiator in the kitchen, thru the pass thru to the diningroom where I feed the cats. (Blocking the entrance way didn’t matter to him). The cats have decided they don’t like him and the oldest one, who belongs to our son, but prefers to live here at age 16, attacked the dog. Seriously, jumped on his back and took him down. To give the dog credit, he didn’t attack back, just hid his head for protection. The poor thing.

One of the aniMULEs I live with is described as half lab, half St. Bernard and all moose. He weighed in just last week at 103.5 lbs and he’s only 13 months.
One of his favorite and cutest behaviours is to sit on the other side of his daddy’s laptop and place his nose on the top of the laptop. It’s really cute and it always gets him a pat and a kiss. :)

Our dog brings his empty food dish into the living room all the time a la
Sometimes even after he’s already been fed twice. The last time I brought him to the vet, the doctor remarked that he had very muscular hind legs. This is, of course, because he leaps onto our bed pretty much every night. I think he’s part kangaroo.

Lol Carly my dog sits on me!! Somethimes if he hears something in the middle of the night I’ll wake up to a 40 pound dog sitting on my chest growling at the windows. As annoying as that is you gotta love them for being so protective

Awww, Bailey is such a sweetie. Smokey and Cassy follow me from room to room. They’re flanking me right now. Poor Smokey. She’s 12 now, with arthritis, and moans and groans everytime she has to get up or down but still follows mama everywhere. :wub:

My two year old Lab has grown up with our two cats, so he now “grooms” them by pinning them to the floor with his giant paw and licking them all over, just like he watches them doing to themselves! They really do not enjoy this of course, but it’s fun to watch, LOL
