I’m cleaning my office today…so I’m offering a box of books–two hardcovers, three trade paperbacks and four mass market paperbacks! Not all are romances, but they are by authors who write romance (and one of the hardcovers is Diana Gabaldon.)

By all reports, Julie Leto was a sweet child once, somewhat shy, preferring to play quietly in her room making up stories. However, being raised with three brothers in a loud, primarily Italian household did have its influences and Julie discovered her inner tough girl. That’s probably why most of her heroines kick serious butt. Writing sassy heroines has worked out, as she’s sold over forty books to four publishers featuring strong, confident women. Julie lives in Florida with her daughter, a spoiled dachshund, a haughty lynx-point Siamese and a wide range of relatives all within driving distance.

I am off to the Great New York State Fair to see the Goo-Goo Dolls tonight. There are so many awesome concerts this year, I am mad I don’t live in Syracuse anymore. I would be there almost every night. Oh, well.
Then there is Journey, Heart and Cheap Trick on Sunday night here at Saratoga.

Julie, Please don’t include me in the book contest, but, wondered if you had heard from Leslie & Bruce on their trek back to MD. Saw pix of Jacksonville & the environs this A.M. on the Weather Channel (based on the Aunt Harriet article, it appeared the Smith family had been in that area), & they were pretty scary. Keeping fingers crossed the Kellys were able to make it out of FL before the massive amounts of rain arrived.

Hope all our Florida friends are ok. I have a friend in port St.Luce I can’t reach. Sure is awful down there.
Still in Maine for a few more days. The trees are turning here and there but this week has been awesome.
